STORY: In a world similar to ours, a small, independent comic book company manages to, somehow, get the copyrights to several different properties, including but not limited to the likes of Fatal Fury and DOOM. The suits, seeing an opportunity to make some huge cash, decide to announce that instead of giving each property their own book, they will instead be combing all of these franchises into one, big crossover. Naturally, this gets both good and bad attention. "You don't know the characters!" "Why aren't you hiring X writer?" Enter Sketch Turner.
It's been a little over 20 years since the overnight success of Comix Zone, which awarded Mr. Turner boatloads of awards and money. He hasn't returned to the industry for two reasons: One, he doesn't want to cause another Mortus situation, and two, he lives comfortably with the royalties from Comix Zone that he gets to this day. However, when this small comic company offers him the chance to author this ridiculous crossover, he accepts. Not because of the money, but because he's been itching to write another book. Besides, it's other peoples' characters. There's no way another Mortus could happen. Absolutely NO WAY.
BIOS:
When playing arcade mode, each character will get a brief biography in the form of a "threat assessment" from the game's villain, Mr. CEO. Most of them are done in a comical fashion, as they are directed towards the generic thugs under his employ. Thugs who have no impact on the story whatsoever.
Hypers: Each character will have one level 1 hyper, one level 2, and one level 3. Rferred to as STYLISH ATTACK (SA), SUPER STYLISH ATTACK (SSA), and ANNIHILATION ATTACK (AA), respectively. Landing a Perfect KO with an ANNIHILATION ATTACK grants you with a TOTAL ANNIHILATION.
SKETCH TURNER:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
Some old, washed up comic book artist/writer, who somehow has mastered martial arts and can transform into a being called Super Sketch. You're not supposed to question it, you're supposed to kill him! THREAT: MEDIUM
Spoiler: Moveset (click to see content)
Sketch's moveset, will, as a reference to the classic video game, have a whole lot of command normals in his arsenal. He'll be like Guile in the fact that he only has 2 specials; a paper airplane throw, and a jumping, spinning kick that acts less like a tatsumaki and more like a shoryuken. His SA, called "Feed the Disease," is where he throws his pet rat, Roadkill, at his opponent. When Roadkill connects, he electrifies himself, electrifying the opponent as well. "Seen it for Days," his SSA, consists of Sketch delivering a brutal uppercut followed by a kick combo in the air. His AA, "Woe is the World," is where he turns into Super Sketch and punches the ground, like from the original game. The move does slightly move damage if the opponent is closer to sketch when he does it.
GEESE HOWARD:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
This guy, he boasts super human strength, chi manipulation, he can counter damn near everything, and I'm 90% certain that he's unleashed the full power of the Jin scrolls. At least he can't counter guns. THREAT LEVEL: HIGH
ARCUEID BRUNESTUD:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
So, uh... I just found out that this lady here can manipulate reality itself. Yeah. Maybe if we ignore her, she won't interfere with our plans? THREAT LEVEL: MAXIMUM! DO NOT ENGAGE!
SHINJIRO HAYASHIDA:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
A student from the legendary Cromartie High School. Appears to be dangerous, but his lack of intelligence makes him easy to manipulate. Perhaps he could be my latest henchman? THREAT LEVEL: LOW
TOMOKO KUROKI:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
Is this some kind of joke? Who the hell put this random girl in my database? Who IS this, she looks like she hasn't slept in a week! THREAT LEVEL: N/A
Spoiler: Moveset (click to see content)
Tomoko will essentially be the Shingo equivalent to Iori Yagami. That's the best way I can summarize her moveset. Her SA is a counter move, and it's where her brother is pushed out in front of her. If he's attacked, he calls the opponent an idiot before delivering a rib cage liquifying kick, and the move will be called "Brotherly Love." Her SSA, called "Rafflesia In Bloom," is where she opens of a can of soda. If the animation is completed, it's revealed that Tomoko is now covered in ants, completely and totally grossing out the opponent. This move does no damage, but puts the opponent in a stunned state, similar to how the Silver Chariot Requiem move worked in the Capcom JJBA game. Her AA, "It's YOUR fault that I'm not popular!" Tomoko essentially does Flameless Iori's Maiden Masher combo, whilst briefly taking on her anime's intro sequence appearance.
KAZUMA KIRYU:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
The Dragon of Dojima himself. Seems to care deeply for a girl named Haruka, so we've kidnapped her to try and make him obey us. This has backfired horribly. Note to self; fire whoever suggested that idea. THREAT LEVEL: HIGH
RICO RODRIGUEZ:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
"Scorpio" here is one of The Agency's best operatives. This guy is able to hijack an airplane by jumping out of another airplane. As long as we don't piss off the CIA, we're good. THREAT LEVEL: LOW (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
Spoiler: Moveset (click to see content)
Rico will play kind of like Spencer from MvC3, grappling all over the place and keeping the pressure on his opponents. His SA, "Keeping up the Chaos," is where he shoots his grappling hook offscreen, and chucks an explosive barrel at the opponent. His SSA, "Hell or High Water," is where he shoots a double barreled shotgun diagonally. If it connects, he begins firing a machine gun in the same direction, before grappling his opponent from the air and slamming them onto the ground. His AA, "A Just Cause," is where he jumps offscreen, comes back down with a helicopter, and unloads the weapons. When he's finished, he jumps out and the helicopter explodes.
UNNAMED SPACE MARINE (DOOMGUY):
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
This guy literally just crawled out of Hell. THREAT LEVEL: MAXIMUM! DO NOT ENGAGE!
Spoiler: Moveset (click to see content)
Doomguy will be like Goro Daimon. Translation? Command grapple city, bitch. Anti-air grabs, standing grabs, OTG grabs...
Doomguy's SA, called "Hurt Me Plenty," consists of him performing a chainsaw slashing combo on his opponent. His SSA, "Ultra Violence," is a counter move, where if you strike him during the start-up he'll slam you on the ground, stomp on you, then chainsaw you up. His AA is called "Death Incarnate," and it's a doozy. In this move, Doomguy uses up a berzerker pack, and he temporarily gains faster movement, and more damage. The juggle AND the damage dampener reset with this move as well, meaning you can unleash some hell with this attack. The icing on the bloody cake is that you have access to a free STYLE CANCEL during this move as well, although it disappears once the timer on the move is up.
JC DENTON:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
Reports indicate that this guy is actually from the future, brought here by dilation in the space-time continuum. He's an excellent soldier, but a wild card. Considering recruitment. THREAT LEVEL: MEDIUM
Spoiler: Moveset (click to see content)
JC Denton will be a combination of Mr. Big from KOF, and Chris from MvC3. He'll use the prod and his handgun in his attacks, giving you quite a few options when playing as him. "The Invisible Hand," JC's SA, is where he shoots the GEP gun at his opponent. His SSA, "New Dark Age," is where he uses the prod's stun function. If it connects, he does a powerful combo on the opponent. His AA, "The Benevolent Dictator," he straight up merges with Helios, declaring "We are one," as a massive wave of light covers the screen. If not blocked, this does massive damage.
MIO NAGANOHARA:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
She appears to be your average teenage schoolgirl, but my scouts report that she is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant. She took on a police officer, a fellow student, and even a goat in one battle. Recruitment considered. THREAT LEVEL: MEDIUM (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
KONATA IZUMI:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
Seriously? What is it with these normal girls in here? Are you guys perverts or are you $@(^ing with me?! THREAT LEVEL: N/A
MOGE-KO:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
When the mogekos were creating a girl, they added in all the ingredients... All except for one. Apparently, they had slipped concrete into the mixture instead of candy. Now, we have one of the world's most dangerous beings on the loose. Obsessed with 'high school girls,' like most of the moge- Hey, I get it now! You guys are smarter than I thought! Everybody gets a raise! THREAT LEVEL: HIGH (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
MR. CEO:
Spoiler: Bio (click to see content)
Yours truly, the head honcho. Expert in martial arts, and paying people to do martial arts for me. If you're planning on killing me, don't. THREAT LEVEL: IT'S ME YOU DOLTS
Spoiler: Moveset (click to see content)
Mr. CEO is the sub-boss of the game, and I want to make him pretty unique. Most of his moves involve money in some way shape or form, with his main special working similar to K Dash's flame-snap thingy move that I can't remember the name of, except he throws money. His SA, "Money makes the world go 'round," is where he pulls out a big bag with a dollar sign on it, and uses it to beat his opponent. His SSA, "Blood Money," is where he calls up on his phone, saying, "Take the shot." Crosshairs appear on the screen, and highlight the opponent. The sniper then fires 3 shots in a set rhythm. The opponent must avoid the shots while at the same time avoiding Mr. CEO's assault. His AA, "Money for Nothing," he tosses out a wad of bills. If it hits the opponent, Mr. CEO shouts, "Free money!" and the opponent is immediately hounded by random people. Massive damage ensues.
I'll add more to this post later.
