I don't know why everyone says they aren't "related" when really they are
It helps their case if the writer said exactly that.
the link in your quote said:
script writer Darby McDevitt revealed that Altaïr and Ezio don't share a family link.
Altair does not appear in Ezio's family tree.
Unless you go and say that everyone is related to everyone.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

Well how the hell does that work?  If Desmond has the collective memories of Altair, Ezio AND this new Conner guy, how is it possible that these people are not related?

The same way that you are genetically related to both of your grandfathers, even though the two of them aren't blood relatives with each other.  It's not uncommon at all for people who have no relation each other to have a common descendant.

Ezio's descendant fucked Altair's descendant and the descendant of the result fucked Connor's descendant.

Anyone else feel like this release will end up having hundreds of fanfics involving a crossover between AC3 and National Treasure?

But saying that, I think it would be neat to see if the developers actually put in small references of the National Treasure series in the game. But that's just me.

The only National Treasure reference I would want to see in this game is if the British soldiers all start talking like this when you poison them.

Why hasn't this been added to the montage of scenes where Nicholas Cage acts batshit insane?

Connor's about to fuck up that deer something fierce.

I hope this hunting thing isn't too crucial to the overall game, though.  It's cool, but I can see getting really tiresome if you're forced to break the flow of the game to stop and chase a bunch of animals around over and over again.

It's probably as crucial as RDR's hunting. Might be involved in a few sidequests but that'll probably do it. This isn't 2003, developers should know basic mission design by now.
