I open the thread with this video, originally I was just gonna post it in the news thread.Cool video about animation in general and makes reference to several games, though it's mostly about NRS and their animation. Explains why I can't get into their fighters.
Really glad to see something as detailed as this. I always want to like NRS' stuff but the motions are so horrible and physically wrong.
To me its always stood out that something is wrong and its great to see someone breaking down what it is. They are still using legacy animation from old games in some of those characters and its just uneeded at this point.
I've always had a hard time trying to express what exactly feels off about NRS fighting game animation, but this video pins down everything. Definitely worth the watch, especially for those who plan on doing their own fighters someday.
