TUTORIAL:

Go here:  https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jzn2jsb0zt55ci3/AABvItviVh8ZpdIYjOqP7vBpa/with%20SweetFX?dl=0
Download, Reshade 0.19.0 and extract the "ReShade32.dll" file and rename it to "opengl32.dll"  This goes in your main MUGEN folder

Now download "Reshade + SweetFX 2.0" and extract Reshade.fx, Sweet.fx and the SweetFX folder and put these in your main MUGEN folder too.

You can now enable all the graphical tweaks of SweetFX by making the appropriate changes to the SweetFX_settings.txt file.

I always wondered why no one has yet to try this out. Maybe it's just my eyes, but I can't see much; more so than I see the lines from the brightness & tv itself from you taking a photo up close.

So this will only work with 1.1? I'm assuming because of openGL. This is still cool though. All these years we've been wanting filters without the manual work. I'm interested in this. Post whatever discoveries you find. Also if you don't mind can you upload that present? I want to try something.

It's freaking tight. I can play 1920x1080p & it looks crisp af on my TV. Not to mention what presents we could come up with.

Now I just need to figure out how to do tatsu's projectile mask code to work right as STANDALONE code on characters (I promise if we can master this effects will be ALOT better looking)

Welp, its not working for me no matter what i try.

Did it exactly as you said but its not working. Im no stranger to Reshade or SweetFX, at all. Ive made thousands of presets for games, and have tried it with mugen but it never worked.

And this method you suggested doesn't work for me.

1: I am using 1.1
2: I am Using OpenGL
3: I even tried the files from the MEGA link, put them in my main Mugen folder. Nothing.

I did, the problem isnt the effects arent working its that its not injecting. I can't toggle using the key assigned and see no effects. Its not injecting.

Didnt work. Even after i changed stuff in the settings, theres no injection going on. I have had 0 problems getting Reshade and SFX to work with every other game.

I tested ReShade in MUGEN 1.0 and active OpenGLScreen (Not working).

But...
MUGEN 1.1 and OpenGL On in Mugen.cfg...Worked perfect.

I'm trying convert OpenGL to DirectX / DirectX to OpenGL (Using Wrappers).

Using this on Ikemen I've had no issues & I'm not using OpenGL. Must be a mugen thing.

There are tons of cool effects but I haven't figured out how to change stuff around yet...

Yes, glad to see more people picking up on this. I do hope someone can figure this out, as we'd have even more options.

I've been using the OG present with some edits in my most recent videos. You can really see a change, but I'd still like to experiment more & bring out the best look possible. This also has zero effect on performance.

Sorry for the necro post, but I can't seem to get SweetFX working either. It keeps saying "Your graphics card does not seem to support OpenGL 4.3. Initialization failed", even though it should work...Is there a decent alternative anyone would recommend?

hello I'm trying to make a sweetFX setting that looks like Super Eagle like in emulators without effecting my performance to much if its not to much trouble maybe you can make a config like the one above... i tired it but my fps is cut down crazy like and it also darkens my screen like i can't even see that good and well since i can run super eagle on my emulators just fine i thought if anyone can do it these guys could :D
also my specs are ADM a8-4500m with Radeon HD graphics 1.90GHz and 6.00GB Ram

also can anyone help with mugen 1.1 legacy it can't run localcoord of 640,480 idk why i mean it does but the screen pack is totally messed up. see I'm trying to run a build i tried making myself see its big legacy 1.1 with Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax lifebars and street fighter alpha 3 announcer with fate sword dance combo font and obviously sweetfx filter injected (hopefully as close to super eagle as it gets) and that WOULD be my dream build but I've run into quite a few set backs any help at all would be much appreciated thank you :)

Try to use Radeon Pro application. I have used it on my old card and worked.
You can get it from Guru3d.

They were using adfly which gives viruses and also give them (a very small amount of) money which due to how MUGEN works is essentially wrong and practically illegal. Also stealing without the author's consent. Oh and they ban people randomly for no real reason because the person running it is probably crazy.

Hi,

As I just discovered this old post, I am wondering what is the default hotkey to enable or disable SweetFX ?

Moreover how can it be started if there is no change in Mugen cfg files to tie them together, and no manual action taken to run SweetFX, unlike Mugen ?
