Anyone else here play SPORTS?

Watch my fro grow as you go, go, go, go, go.

It's a topic that I rarely see come up on the forum, so I thought I might as well.

I've been an athlete all my life. Right now I play college soccer - center-mid, wooooot - but I love (American) Football, Rugby, and Tennis as well.

I like basketball, but nobody likes playing that around here, it's all football.

I also used to do backyard wrestling if you count that as a sport....God I was a misguided youngster...

Over the last few years I've been into sports more than usual, been playing ALOT of basketball, but not for a team. I played football for a team in my past and last year I ran cross country. I don't think that I'm good enough to actually play any more sports throughout the last year of my high school career.

Played volleyball and soccer in high school. ~~Don't play anything now~~ I actually play hockey in the winter still, been too long since I've seen ice, I almost forgot.

I enjoy ocasionally playing soccer and basketball, but them being team sports they don't fit in my current schedule at all; I have done weight lifting and kick boxing for over 10 years, tho and I still do it at least twice a week.

I play ~~wii sports~~ soccer (central defender) and ocasionally basketball(I dont care about the position, im not good at it

I've been cycling around these last few weeks or month, I hate team sport or game type of sport, I like doing physical exercise alone with full concentration in what I'm doing, yesterday I went cycling to a hilly neighborhood 15minutes away from my place and decided to ride my bike in the hardest gearset until the top and glide on the way back home, took some nap, and had breakfast at dimsum restaurant.. nice weekend

tried to keep up with a black karate kid...we dont spar no more but i still wax on and off régulièrement...

it...kinda made me a better human being...but i'll never admit it in public...no way man...

Practiced judo for 10 years when I was young, and played basketball 10 hours a week in high school, during my free time.
Apart from that, some football too when I was a kid, as everybody does in France.
Dunno if you'd add Salsa dancing in the sports category, but I've been doing this for 3 years too, at a good level.

Used to play football/soccer for school team and compete in national tournaments until I was 10.

Then I started hating sports and stopped playing.

wow cyberaster I train judo too but I have been doing it for 6 years now and I am still at it.I play a lot of basketball and a little bit of kick boxing and fitness

Judo too for me (but from age 5 to 10 or something?) And after that a little bit of TaeKwonDo, but the group sucked ass so I quit. Besides that I have been doing tricking/freesyle jumping and such (flips and fancy kicks and such, not quite parcours) but all of my friends quit doing that so that stopped as well. Now I just play with my weights and try to do push-and situps everyday, but yeah i'm lacking any fit/endurance sports badly nowadays

When I'm at my parents's house I love to do a little bit of bicycling around the sea, but here in smelly, stinky and ugly Rotterdam I don't (plus I don't have a bicycle here).

Due to not being a giant person in a nation that believes the only sport is rugby i have bounced round a bit.

Gymnastics
Hockey
Badminton
Squash

Currently, doing archery. Which is a nice sport in that it's not super energetic and i do rather enjoy it. And of course, i now have a projectile weapon without needing a license.

I bike at least 14 miles every day and do some crunches and pushups at home every night.
And I was practicing boxing until a few months ago.
I need to get back to it, but my schedule is being too hectic to allow some free nights for that.

Lately, i tried exercising in the mornings for similar reasons, plus apparently exercising in the morning gives you more energy for the rest of the day; turns out my body did not get used to that and I would lose concentration after 5 or so hours and perform bad during the rest of the day, so I am back to exercising after work. The only thing I kept doing is some flexibility exercises in the morning.

I've been busy with martial arts for about 13-14 years now. Alas, I've pretty much learned all a local class can offer in the initial stretch of 12 years, so my interest is diminishing. I do still try to keep fit, however.

I workout whenever I play video games. Lots of pull ups, push ups, and sit ups during loading screens will make you toned.
Working out during Mortal Kombat's lag will make you ripped!

It might sound odd, but I really enjoyed reading this thread.

I really thought that we'd have more soccer/Euro football players, but I'm just as satisfied with the variety. It's really refreshing. Archery, Gynastics, and working out during MK were responses that I simply didn't expect at all. And OMG, freaking love dodgeball!

For everyone that "stopped" playing sports, get on it. Nothing is more rewarding than fitness... it's the best.
