Why would they cancel something that was finally building up to DC's own Justice League? Hot off the tracks of the Avengers movie too...
because they have another avengers cartoon in the works that focuses more on the movie cast + your token black character (this time its lame ass falcon)

it's for this kind of decisions that we can't get a decent spider-man show. in fact all recent marvel shows only last two seasons at mosti don't think we'll ever have something like the x-men/spider-man series from the 90's
The 90's shows weren't very good.ok I guess Spider-Man and X-Men were decent sometimesbut Iron Man and Fantastic Four were really bad

I tried so very very very hard for so very very very long to enjoy Ultimate Spider-Man and Drake Bell. The show is garbage. Eratic, spastic, scratchy garbage.Wasn't there some rumor that this new Avengers will be part of a shared universe with Ultimate Spider-Man?I was really looking forward to season three. Developers said it'd be the magic focused season. Oh well.
Yup. Rumored to be part of the Ultimate Spider-Man universe along with the upcoming Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. series. It makes me sad.(Although Drake Bell's voice is tolerable in the Spider-Man episode of Avengers: EMH. It makes that one joke where the SHIELD agent questions what's wrong with Spider-Man's voice hilarious... Although Josh Keaton definitely would have fit the show better.)
Seventh said, June 09, 2012, 06:18:29 amAlthough Josh Keaton definitely would have fit the show better. At least he's pretty chill about it.

Iron Man...I don't think I saw ONE good Iron Man episode now that I think of it.
They were certainly the best cartoon adaptations of either up to that point, but it's just that at the same time they were airing Batman: The Animated Series was also airing. And that was almost flawless. As a general rule, DC's animation offerings tend to be better than Marvel's.
True. And every time marvel actually makes a decent to semi-decent toon they cut it prematurely. At least Avengers EMH lasted 52 episodes.Also... why Falcon?

Hot off the tracks of the Avengers movie too...because loeb is a shit head. You didn't even need to say another damn word, that name alone might as well be death incarnate of anything good in comics. Strictly speaking from late 2006 on. I will never admit I hated Hush in any sort of way.Jmorphman said, June 09, 2012, 04:27:02 amThe 90's shows weren't very good.ok I guess Spider-Man and X-Men were decent sometimesbut Iron Man and Fantastic Four were really badHOW ABOUT I FOLLOW YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH FOR THAT COMMENT!?!
I just pray it's not like that abomination of a show...ultimate spiderman. To be fair the animation is good but the forced humor is so bad it makes me want to throw up.
Alhambra said, June 09, 2012, 10:45:46 amAlso... why Falcon? It's probably because he's rumored to appear in Captain America 2. Also, the producers probably wanted to add some color to the roster.
DMK said, June 09, 2012, 12:21:17 pmI will never admit I hated Hush in any sort of way.Hush was a terrible shitty comic.Plus all the "cool" stuff had already happened in other comics. It just reads like a greatest hits collection of Batman except the hits themselves were recorded by a bunch of tone deaf, limbless children.Hey! Remember that time Batman fought Superman? Well here's a terrible rendition of a fight between them!Hey! Remember that time when the Joker killed someone close to Batman and he struggled with whether to kill the Joker? Well have we got a version of that!Hey! Remember that time all of Batman's villains were brought together by a mysterious new bad guy whose identity is concealed throughout the whole story until the last issue? JUST LIKE THE FIRST TWO COMICS LOEB WROTE OF BATMAN!?!?!?!
No Neocide, I like Ultimate Spider-man too. If I'm going to say I don't like something (from this tiny category) I'd say I don't like Avengers:EMH and then Spider-man. Why? Because they're geared for children. They even completely block out any possible mature story chances to be for children. Same for Spider-man, but Spider-man's suppose to be a funny guy, so it makes more sense for when he's doing whatever, he's doing it with humorous intent, plus the animation/art is great.Avengers style is too edgy/blocky for me to actually like their designs.Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Young Justice's targeted audience is kids-teens? And they do it successfully without making the stories look like they were magically turned out good in the end simply because the good guys are suppose to win. Their detailed designs also look like they were made for animation from the people responsible for Batman: Arkham City = win.I think what I'm talking about on Avengers is mainly because Hulk is never actually being violent (and talks too much) and all of the villains spend a lot of time doing evil smiles and/or talking about their feelings and how they will have their revenge, etc.I mean, they have some moments where the action isn't watered down for kids enough to where I don't like them Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty(like Hulk vs Red Hulk, Captain America Breakout Skrull Prison, Hulk vs Absorbing man) but those moments only take up a percentage of the show.Note: I like the Avengers EMH, but it is the least of the 3. (YJ #1) If this one is/gets cancelled and there IS a new Avengers coming, I'd like it if it were more serious with better graphics.:O like if they made a series similar to ultimate avengers/planet hulk/hulk vs movies; like dc made Young Justice similar to the Direct-to-Video DC Animated Movies released since Superman: Doomsday. And I say "similar" as in whenever there's a bunch of bystanders around during a fight in the movies, at least 25% of them are going to shed a lot of blood or killed, whereas I don't really recall anyone/many graphically getting hurt in Young Justice. Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyThe aliens were just inside an exploding base (so you don't see them die), and I can't visually recall many others getting too hurt from things.

Because they're geared for children. They even completely block out any possible mature story chances to be for children. Things that are made for children can be enjoyed by adults too, as long as they're made well. And those well-made ones don't talk down to their audience nor do they avoid telling complicated stories because their audience hasn't hit puberty yet. Which is why this news is such a shame. I haven't seen the show but I've heard it does treat the people who watch it as idiots. But thanks to Loeb, now it'll be replaced with something that will!!!Edtion said, June 09, 2012, 08:03:26 pmSame for Spider-man, but Spider-man's suppose to be a funny guy, so it makes more sense for when he's doing whatever, he's doing it with humorous intent, plus the animation/art is great. You can make Spider-Man funny without resorting to cutaways that are worse than late peroid Family Guy ones.

Riccochet said, June 11, 2012, 09:30:30 amthats a joke right?coz like you know keaton was tons better.Drewski has weird irrational hatred for voice actors.
It's not Drake Bell's fault. His voice is pretty good for Peter Parker, it's just that the show (Ultimate Spiderman) has awful writing. But yeah, Josh Keaton did a far better job.
Neocide said, June 09, 2012, 02:51:44 pmam I the only one who doesn't hate Ult Spider-man? ???I don't hate it, but I do wish the producers would take a different direction with the show.
Riccochet said, June 11, 2012, 09:30:30 amEdtion said, June 09, 2012, 08:03:26 pmTheir detailed designs also look like they were made for animation from the people responsible for Batman: Arkham City = win. What? they arent that detailed. Its practically the same style for the previous JLA toonIt's called "Justice League" and "Justice League Unlimited", not "Justice League of America" or "Justice League Animated", get it right .Secondly, (and far more important really <_<) there's a difference between this and this or this and that/that, or even this against this or that.Sure, characters with simpler designs would tend to look similar between shows, such as the flash or superman, and only look different due to the styles, but Justice League/DCAU would have much less movement and "anatomy" shown in their characters simply because they were designed to have a more simplistic/minimalist look to them, while Young Justice, according to Phil Bourassa, was designed to have a detailed look but minimized for animation purposes. No, I'm not saying that Young Justice went in their designs or pictures and added a bunch of micro pixels that we never even notice in the show, but I am saying that the shapes and animation (fluidity) of Young Justice would look far more realistic in comparison to Justice League+DCAU and a lot of other....let's say "older" cartoon shows.Sure, in comparison to shows like Avatar/Ben 10/(maybe Ult. Spider-man), the detail comparison wouldn't hold up so much, but I never compared it to any other shows or styles, except the canceled Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyNote: Though it may be unfair that the animation was handled in Asia, by Koreans (unless Justice League and/or Avengers were handled by them too <_<)
Edtion said, June 12, 2012, 03:11:18 am...the animation [of Young Justice] was handled in Asia, by Koreans...Well, I guess that explains why Young Justice always goes on a four-month hiatus every ten episodes. D: It's one of the reasons why I'm holding off on watching the show. Mid-season hiatuses are disappointing; can't they at least come close to finishing a whole season before they start airing it?
Yeah, that actually has nothing to do with that. A hiatus during a season is almost always a network decision.
