axel stone for our new versus project some of you may know about this from mugenguild.

Clinch system
axel is able to grab hold of the opponents for 30 ticks and perform grab combos/throws like streets of rage

signature moves.
Grand upper

dragon smash short flurry.
dragon smash short flurry to uppercut
dragon smash flurry special
dragon wing.
grand hook normal

grand hook special

Hi Da Maverik, Have you guys considered other 3d fighting game characters, namely virtua fighter, Soul Calibur or DoA for this project?

GRAND UPPA. Possibly my favorite character from the project.

Why did you change the fire on his attacks like they were in the game to lightning? Also, his pants were never that baggy.

i'm not a fan of george michael style/gary glitter tight pants. lol

his attack FX looked boring and bland in the original, I kept the concept the same by keeping the flaming dragon design. But instead the dragon wraps around his body in my design

I remember you saying you had enough ninjas on it already so i take Kasumi, Ayane and Ryo Hayabusa (sniff) from DoA) and Taki from SC are out of the question, which are your preferred options?

Keeping my 20 fingers crossed (somehow) for seeing Voldo or Christie (DoA) on this!

the salmon asparagus omelette sandwich of destiny.

the cast of characters is looking good. the only characters from doa that look crazy enough to fit into this game,excluding the ninjas, is zack,bass and tengu. maybe genra and omega as well.

I was planning on doing hwang and soul edge from soul blade and If i had to select from those ninja's I'd choose, ayane just because I like her design.

Wow, Axel Stone?!

I actually like his baggy pants more than the ones in the original. Perhaps he could have colour versions of his other team members?

BTW, I have done two designs:

I know I brought in Sesko again, I thought about how you thought Aresa was to Anime like in her design, so I reused Sesko's appearence design as a base for the agent character, I actually think she works much better as a secret agent. But the KLOBBs stay. XD

As for ViVi, she is a member of TAROT, the same guys that created Shishiko. Unlike Shishiko, she is human, altough she has had her genes spliced to allow her to control a special weapon. She likes the Goth Lollita clothing style, but is not allowed to wear it at work, so she wears it under her Military Jacket, claiming that all is okey as long as you wear what is okey aswell... that is, she USED to say that. A former superior of her was so irritated by her bitchy (in the lack of a better word) attitude that he cut her tongue off as punishment... he was never heard from again...

She is mute now, but that does'nt stop her from being a smug scheming bitchy bastard.

Her weapon is actually the bow on her costume, she can pull it out and form it after her will, practically turning it into anything.

Sorta like Shishiko's weird Left Arm, but as a weapon...

Probably not, She was too generic as a female character. I have quite a lot of females in this project.

Hmmm...

if you turn the picture vertically you'll see it's raijin dropping his drums from out of the sky and down to earth. It tells the s2g story subliminally and it's also an idea for a stage I'm creating similar to u_dera's ukiyo-e theatre

Pretty cool there.

Just a small noticable detail....

Your model of Axel is a little too buffed out, and with the way you posed him for your frames, makes him look a little too.... down syndrome-ish. Compared to his actual artwork counterpart, you can see he's just a little too thick.

Besides that, this is pretty damned sweet. Another excellent creation judging by your preliminary videos.

axel never looks the same in any two artworks, everything official that I have seen shows his face and build looking different I have even seen him look like a van damme clone.

you'll find that alot of people playing SOR2 on ps3 do not know how to play the game . I was playing it for about 2 hours when it was first released and none of my online partners knew how to play the game. so i ended up kicking the shit out of them and just killing them for fun.

I thought Dr. Zen (I think that was his name) was pretty cool, but SoR3 was so damn hard.

Too bad there is too many androids in this game. XD

Bryan would probably eat axel for breakfast.

He is strong enough to toss tanks and helicopters like boomerangs lol. Bryan is actually ridiculously powerful. it would take a badass like yoshimitsu to cut him down, or grey fox.

some of the endings in tekken are what if scenarios, bryan has never actually been caught by yoshimitsu, since he keeps running away after losing and avoiding him. and tekken 6 seems to have thrown away the bryan vs yoshimitsu beef since yoshimitsu is now turning insane because of his sword that keeps craving for blood.
