pretty sure chrome beat xplorer to most popualr several years ago, though I am not sure how they group explorer, as you can easily group all the chrome updates as just chrome because they will work, while explorer updates break enough stuff to be considered different pieces of software.

I'm actually using Maxthon, which demostrate me it's better even than Firefox and Chrome. And there's no mascot/tan/representation of her until now, but I bet she would have a qipao (chinese dress), espcially because Maxthon is from China :P

I have had a better experience with it than I did with google.
Most of the time, the results I get in bing are more relevant to what I was searching than with google.

Do mind that I pretty much only do searches related to technology and programming, though.
