Im releasing mine Bejiita. I would want that it was already beta but my hard disk is kind off different opinion. Anyway, some info.
Version: Alpha v0.01 (Why just 0.01? Just basics, no super attacks, no transformations, look inside read me file for non basic moves)
On YT you can see Beta version which is unreleased. Sprites in Beta will be based on MV open source sprites, not on Roken sprites like it is now. I just have some problems with my HD and wanted to release a playable version to let you try my style of gameplay. Im very eager for your comments, write a lot of feedback, bugs (o there's a lot of them like no loose animation) and other shieet.

Bejiita is the original version, in Japan.  --; Im not basing on english or other versions. BTW what the hell of a reply is that? It is no feedback just whining about name. Man... at least you spelled it right, it's rarity.

Yea umm what you want to do is put a screenshot up of your character so that people would know what they are downloading. I've seen that someone embedded a video on this forum but it seems no one know how. So it has now big difference if it will be the main account link or video. Anyway, the videos were also in project topic which you apparently missed. If you need a video that much, I will do new up-to-date. And some... feedback?

the only feedback i can get is whenever he punches and kicks close, it drains the power bar, that's it, in dragon ball z fighting games, the only way to drain the power bar is to use ki blasts and super moves, and when he's at a maximum level, it can still hold for long until it can let go on its own, speaking of which, ki blasts and punches and kicks do little damage

And if in other DBZ games is this kind of gameplay, then in every other must be the same. The power bar functions as well as stamina bar. When you on full, you deliver fast hit, but when it goes down 1000, you deliver slower but stronger hit. This forum has definitely lack of Mod power, most of posts are fucking offtop shit. I knew that posting here is not a good idea, there's not much normal people left here. Ehh...

It has to do with the fact you called him Bejita when his real name is Vegeta, and when you said "but they don't pronounce it like this", one can argue that they pronounce the name of the anime "Doragon Boru Zeto" while the official name is Dragon Ball Z.

Bejiita (or Bejīta) is the same as ベジータ just in romaji not katakana.

And Vegeta is the same as Bejita just in official romanization not romaji.  So by that extension, Vegeta is the same as ベジータ.  Yet you only insist on two out of three even though they're all correct in the end.

Man, all of this has made me hungry for some bejiitables...

Even if the creator ragequit, I feel the need to point out that to PUNCH an enemy takes YOUR meter away. That's just ridiculous. Even if it's been pointed out before, it's much worse than one could put into words. Look at this. Four bars, and I drain it in ten to fifteen punches. I don't get this. This is so ass backwards. In any other character, you attack to GAIN meter, not to lose it. Ye olde "My character is custom, it can do what it wants" is all fine and dandy, but changing something so standard as super meter gain and drain is just... Sacrilegious. Oh, and did I mention he has four bars? I did. Regardless, four bars. Why? Is three too good for the Prince of Arr Saiya-jins? Ugh.

i think i already pointed out that his punches and kicks take little damage, why not increase the attack damage a bit?

Don't get over reacted, man. There are still nice people here, also guys if is to waste time arguing over "Bejiita" or "Vegeta", then do a thread about it. Don't waste time arguing in a release topic just because the author wished a different name. As for the character mechanics, Bejiita may need adjustments in order to be in pair with other characters. Losing power while attacking may be a big de-advantage if you're fighting characters with hard ai and in special if you need to apply a super combo. If you wish your character to be more enjoyable and yet to have that idea, then how about making two cns files? One could be the way which you want, like losing powerbar during attacks and other which allow him gain power while attacking like any other character.

You don't need to be rude, he was not rude to you. NOBODY was rude to you, until you started posting hateful posts. I've been watching this topic since it started and, you're the only one getting so worked up about harmless comments regarding names and such, get over it.

If you really want a moderator to say something, then here's what I have to say: Stop posting like that. Stop telling people to fuck themselves because they pointed out something in your character that might not make sense for a fighting game character. Stop telling people they're whining, nobody is whining here but you.

It's not that people are afraid of originality, it's just that the things you're changing are opposite any other fighting game known to man, but you can still do what you want, but not everyone's going to like that.

And you keep asking for feedback, how the heck is anyone going to give you feedback when you have removed the download link? The only thing that people can comment on now IS the name and the sprites. So if you don't want people to just comment on the name you've chosen, then post the download link so people can give feedback. Stop being so uptight.



For everyone else. If you've made your point about something on the character, then there's no need to continue arguing with someone who isn't going to change their mind about something they've decided. Move on. There's no need to mock the name of the character anymore.

If I come back to this thread and it's shittier than it is right now, then somebody is getting banned.

I would not mind using a custom system but I have tried him out and I will say this. This system is bad for a good reason. This character starts off with zero stamina at the start, making yourself a vulnerable target being slow. Now, I tried waiting over time for his stamina to gain, but it only goes to 1 full bar in a normal fight, giving you very limited options. And to make it worse, he loses stamina very fast. His basics do piss weak damage and even his strengthened damage still is piss weak compared to other characters'. Even in combos it hardly does any damage.

In other words, your system practically makes it impossible to win with him. There is no good reason why this system is a good idea in the first place. It needs a total overhaul.

Granted that I used the alpha version, but overall, the system in itself is pretty bad until you can prove to me and the rest of the community otherwise.

Though most of his attacks and everything are still pretty weak in comparison to most others. Plus, unlike the other DBZ chars I've tried and seen, this one isn't really capable of doing explosive combos like them. The stamina system can work as a pseudo damage dampener, only giving you one bar for a full combo and letting the opponent go after one chain so that it doesn't become abusable.

Also on the system itself, I find myself charging very often with the simplest of combos, which makes gameplay flow breaking.

Also I have to say this:

Why does he have priorities on all his basics except one of his crouching kicks?

it'd be better if he just made a custom stamina bar, but it might be beyond his coding skills,that's  not taking a shot at him.

Not taking into account the pages of debates :

- Big portrait is wrong size and misaligned. Should be 140*120 pixels.
- No comment about the text file to rant on Ristar, etc...
- Missing system sounds such as jump up and land.
- Same goes for FX : some smoke when he jumps (like POTS or Rajaa) as well as when he lands would be welcome (especially when seeing the FX when he dashes).
- Ctrl+D is your friend : missing required sprites.
- Debug flood: in state 50: set sysvar out of range (7).
- CLSNs shouldn't really move during stance, and why can't I hit him on the head, he's already small enough.
- Overall, CLSNs are kinda clumsy: crouching has head CLSN misaligned, end of jump back CLSN are really odd.
- Crouching Z : Huh what !?
- Power Charge could get some envshake.
- Doing F,F+y/b (dash kick/elbow) quickly gives a cancel that doesn't produce any woosh sound nor voice.
- Why can I cancel back dash by pressing any button during startup ?
- This also shows that the startup time for backdash as well as forward dash is really slow.
- Also, if you press F,F or B,B without holding the button at the end, Vegeta just produces an animation but doesn't move at all.
- He has double jump, but he kinda misses some mobility in the air, such as air dash or something.
- Double jump doesn't have any sounds.
- The way aerial Z disappears when hitting the ground is not natural. It's missing an explosion, a spark or something. And why does it deal 5 hits ?
- Ki Punch is hard to perform on the ground because you used a statetype!=C trigger. No need for that, as you'll probably be in crouching state when doing the command, since you press Down at the beginning.
- Teleport is so slow it's just useless.
- Teleport attacks are all hard to perform because of the same reasons. You need to use statetype!=A in this case.
- Having the teleport attacks as standalone moves is fine, but you should do something so they can be chained easily. For example, I can't chain Teleport Attack 1 > Teleport Attack 2 properly, but I can do Teleport Attack 2 > Teleport Attack 3 fine since it sends the opponent in the air for follow up. Having the possibility to do follow-ups easily would be really nice and more natural too.
- The power system doesn't make any sense to me: basics sometimes give power and sometimes remove some, while I'm hitting exactly the same button in the same manner and dealing the same damage. If you want to put this system, do it for Ki attacks and specials. Doing that for basics and command moves... doesn't make any sense at all to me. A character doesn't lose stamina from the beginning of the fight from dealing a few hits with his punches.
