Hello everyone. I Have the Pleasure of Bringing To You something My Friend Riklaionel and I have working for a while. Chris Redfield from the resident evil Series. Most of sprites are done. execept for the Trow anf some sprites for some hypers. eveything else. like punches,Kicks,Special moves are done.
Here a few pictures some animations and a video. We are also working on stage for him but its on really early stage.   ;P

  :sugoi: Most of the Pictures are a little Outdated Sorry For That. we have changed lost of atacks since then that we did not Like to Much. and i want to hear what the people over here at the guild has to say  :sugoi:

Wow, it's great to see a well made Chris Redfield! :D

As for Claire, hmm, I'm a bit split, she looks really cool but I wonder if she would'nt fit more as a striker for Chris or something, not sure.

If she would have moves, I can imagine a Hyper Combo being the unlockable Minigun and/or the Linear Launcher, Maiby a Level3 Hyper where a mutated Steve helps her (crazy, I know) her basic moves are tricky to come up with, buuuut, I think she is one of very few Res' characters to use a Crossbow weapon, so it should be on of the special moves.

An intro or winpose should feature her and Sherry Birkin. Otherwise, no bloody ideas for the rest of her moves. :S

Thanks for your Comments Yes The Crossbow idea is on the To Do List For Claire Moves i dont know about the sherry birking idea for now. Chris is Going to Have his MVC3 Hypers or atleast that is the Plan So Far. we already did most of his Special atacks from MVC3 But we cant Code so he dosent have them on the videos but we have sprited already all of them execept for the magnum Standing Shot. i belive but the FlameTrowher, Mine Set Up,Shotgun,Machine Gun are Done,We still need a few thing to do to get the Full Spritesheet for Him. But he has all of his Basics i belive the only basic move his missing is his Grab.  :sugoi:

I noticed Claire's walk forward sprite kind of looks like her head is bobbing left and right.

Anyways, it's nice to see someone working on a character with custom-decent looking sprites! I wish you luck on this one.

Come to think of it, since Chris only has 1 intro in MVC3 (apart from some different quotes) why not give him a new intro based on the... well... rather bad Chris Redfield from the Resident Evil Mugen version.

The one where he shrugs back saying "WHOA, What is it?!" it would be a pretty fun cameo thing. :P

Speaking of Chris and Claire, is a Nemesis planned in the future? :)

Yeah we are planning several Intros for him. that sounds like a good idea maybe well do that  :sugoi:
And about Nemesis he is a wip as well. or atleast we have him planned in the future here is a Sprite.

Chris is Like 88% Sprite wise Claire is Like 8% we are still looking for a Coder Thought For Booth of Them i can relese Chris as he is Right now He needs lots of things to be fixed/Added ;P

P.D.: Me and Riklaionel have other 4 Wips besides Nemesis None of them are from resident evil Thought  :ninja: 2 Marvel Chars 1  Capcom Char (Phoenix Wright Which Has Good Progess but we are revamping him a lot and add him stuff from MVC3 since i started working on him on january) and a nintendo Char but Nemesis will be done before him  :sugoi:

I already said this on the claire video, but I'll say it here to:

- you can use re2, code veronica, darkside chronicles, and degeneration for examples of moves for her
- v-t infected steve burnside should be one of her supers ( he comes out screaming which makes claire duck and he runs past her chopping you down with an axe).
-you could have her do assist like jill does but adapt it to code veronica's infected ( reapers, giant moths that plant egg bombs on enemy, etc.)
have a technique where she throws out a gas container and if she shoots it it blows up (based mostly off of code veronica's chemical containter, but also happens in re2 with the sewer croc.)

as for intros/endings
when the round starts you could have her come in on a motorcycle
when she wins a round have sherry run by and claire chases after her (like the leon edit, where ashley runs by)

taunts
she pulls out an ink cartridge for the type writer and throws it in the air a few times


oh and I made this portrait for the upcoming release of your character:

I'm not sure if Mai is the best base for Claire, but that's just my opinion.

Like Ferretsshadow said its a diference of opinion  :P and dont worry about us using mai as a base if we need to do sprites from Scratch we will do them. Most of Chris Sprites are Done From Scratch anyway so You Dont have to Worry Thanks all for the comments.  :sugoi:

Got nothing againts 1.0 but it def dont have as much goin on as the older version.
Both of them look very awesome though.

i Think its not Dont Worry. i belive we are adding are stilll adding a  frame or Two to it  :sugoi:

even when i said he was like a 87% im Still pretty sure we are going to add more frames to some moves or replace old ones. so its maybe some thing are going to change.

I think the best for that animation would be if the blue trail is a seperate animation so that when he hits someone, you don't see a huge blue trail stuck in time when he flinshes from the hit.

Uh... get what I mean? I'm not very good a explaining. :S

Woah, this looks really great. I can't think of any issue other than he looks a little smaller than I would have expected, but that's just massive nit picking on my part. Glad to hear that you're so far a long with him. I eagerly await his release. :)

its on very early progress so i dont think any time soon.
Good News Everyone Nestor is Helping us with  Chris Redfield Coding So he is being taken care off i thinks go as expected the sprites will be finished by Early 2012 i dont know how much time coding takes but as for spriting goes we are almost set.  :sugoi:

hes not ready yet hes being recoded. plus he still needs More Sprites. he has two hypers missing, hes also missing His Grab, and air grab as well. He Doesnt have his boulder punch combo yet some animation need more frames. there is still some stuff missing. maybe early next year.  :-\

Boulder Punch combo? Is that a new move, or are you talking about his Combination Punch special?

Boulder Punch combo? Is that a new move, or are you talking about his Combination Punch special?

I was thinking it would be interesting if you gave claire a crossbow like in re2 with limited ammo that you can pick up after you shoot it and if the opponent blocks it.  then for another winning pose Idea you can have steve burnside jump out with the gold luggars trying to be cool and  clair gives one of these looks  --;

Why the hell I haven't seen this topic before when I clicked on 'Show unread posts since last visit'? ¬¬

Well.. I arrived a little late -_-
When I read 'Chris Redfield' I wanted to know immediately what it was... I like it. It's good see that people makes original chars, especially Resident Evil chars. I also wanted to make to snk Chris long ago..., based on MvC3 Chris too, but I've only done one sprite  :S

I think there's not much difference that with you did, that's very good to your style, maybe you could improve it in his face and arms, it's nice btw. Good luck with that, I hope you make a nice char. Claire is great too.

Chris's Sprites seams to be (for me) more CvSish than MarvelvsSeriesish, but whatever: good char is good char.

Chris looks really good! if i may suggest a new grapple for him incase your short on idea's Chris grabs his opponent and forces them into a laydown sprite where he fires a pistol twice directly on them and finishes up with a low kick causing a little knock back? got the idea from DnF Ranger by Q2Key, where she grabs you and fires 4 shots on you then you just get back up. Then a nice grapple strike chain Hyper, where he swings his knife at you 3 times, does a powerful high kick with a good knockback and finishes up with a Rocket Launcher as your falling backwards in the air. im not sure if it's a good idea but it came to mind under the thought of *what would Chris Redfield do in Mugen?*

progress its a little slow now since my friend rikaionel seems to be very busy, but nestor is still working on him so he is still getting coded. i just did some sprites for him this week. i hope we can post a video before this year ends or in the beginning of  2012, about the grab we havent decided which ones are going to use yet but i think we are going to use his MVC3 grabs. thanks everyone fro your comments and interest  :sugoi:

I Cant Thank enough zero de armentis for editing Chris and give him this awesome look after he sended that sprite to me i decided i had to reedo all other sprites because i like it so much. i just have the stance so far. but tell me what you guys think about this new look.

Claire's sprites look good to me, but the shading could be improved a bit. Some touch ups on the edges would make it look better.
