How do you call someone originating from the USA anyway ? AFAIK there's no specific word other than just "American" as opposted to Brazilian or Mexican.

Literal meaning is pretty retarded...it's actually just something you wipe your ass with after taking a dump (WAY back in the day I suppose). In the way that it's usually used though, it's a not-so polite way of putting emphasis on something. Like if I were to call someone a fuckin' idiot, for example. Bumboclaat would pretty much take "fuckin"'s place (though we'd say it more like: "you's a bumboclaa eediat enu"). Either way, it's a rather rude word, and is generally considered as cursing.  

BTW, a pretty easy way to know if someone is faking the accent is if they actually pronounce the t 'cause most of us don't do that.

Most countries refuse to use the therm "american" actually, as you saw in the XG quote, so i don't know why they (yanquis) still push it. They have a ton of names to choose.

It's like me insisting that you should call me "your majesty", and of course you don't.

just like how they enforce soccer over the term football and countless of other shit, yeah.

Well, you can't always call americans by their states. It works for a few, like Texan. But what the fuck do you call someone from Illinois or whatever. American just suits more. If they wanted to be named after thier state they should have named their state something you could stick "AN" after. Ish would also be acceptable.

I am from New Zealand. As far as i can tell from my time in GGPO i am the only person in this country who know's what an emulator or a fighting game is. I do not believe there is any other person from NZ who is involved in mugen either.

And it's either New Zealander (which sounds wanky) or Kiwi, which is our national bird, and much shorter and easier to say than New Zealander.

But anyway, Byakko and Anjel and whatever other person from another continent that's not America . . . that still doesn't make it right.
And probably the reasons why you use it are:
-You are living in another continent and it doesn't bother you.

to show you how it feels is is, saying, Germany likes to be referred as "Europe".

You don't have to use the statename persay, just know the state's own lingo. I'm from Indiana, people of Indiana are called 'hoosiers'. It's specifically for those of the state capitol but it's become accepted universally throughout the state. Hoosiers is a shit movie BTW, don't use it for reference.
