Well some people around here know me for the yu yu hakusho project...Well i got a lot of other projects that were half way done and then i lost interest and moved on to a new one...thats a really really bad habbit of mine and i need to just finish what i started...So Here is all of the chars that i plan on finishing this year.

The gohan sprite is a remake of my old gohan which i have half way done.. My plan is to update the sprites that i currently have and finish the sheet to with customs and really cool moves!

The Hiei sprite is from the  yu yu  hakusho neo project which i am gonna update and basically do the same thing i plan on doing with gohan..

Yusuke is Mostly done everybody has been sending Pm's about him  and here is my answer...Yes i plan on finish him and releasing a great yu yu hakusho char.. i still have somethings i wanna update on and add some more required moves..Me and my brother Darksayjin plan on finish him as well...i dont know when i will get to back him but it might be soon...I have been watching yu yu hakusho again and i am really wanting to finish up everything from the project...but first I HAVE TO FINISH ALL OF MY ALL WAY DONE STUFF!!

Kurrin, Kirillan or how ever you say it is a join spriteing project between me, Darksajyin and Neocide..Neo is going to program him and We are spriteing him...He is almost half way done as well...We got some pretty cool ideas i can't say too much yet but he will most definately be completed..

Why did i post this?? I just thought people should know and i thought it can be a good way to keep my focus as well....I still havent decided on who i am gonna work on first...But i plan to finish all this year in the next 6 months hopefully... So thoughts ideas and everything else are welcome... ;P

Very nice, I cant wait till these characters hit the mugen scene, especially Hiei, that sprite style for him looks fuckin awesome and I've always wanted a badass Hiei for mugen.

Well i picked back up on yusuke I am currently working on his rei ko dan sprites i will start posting up the updates on this thread...I am gonna try my best to finish up everybody in here :sugoi:

Of he will have that it wouldnt be yusuke with out his signature moves!

Here is the rei ko dan i been working on and here his shotgun for anybody who hasnt seen yusuke... i guess i am picking up where i left off..



This will also be use for the weak shotgun attack..(This sprite anyways)

This is what i last posted up here some months ago i am not sure if everybody has seen the stuff so i am reposting it..





i am gonna be using both of those one is for the strong and and is for the weak version.

Update here is yusuke's air Rei gun!



I want to finish all of the bases for his special moves so i can just go through and make the animateions....any ideas for some moves besides the ones i got? :P

so are you releasing all your work here? just so i know to come to this thread every once in awhile. and are you going to completely finish him before releasing? like the stage so far, pretty big like it should be(which i assuming might be the first arena). probably is good that youre using the yusuke from the Jump game to help you with correct poses and stuff cause he really acts and moves like yusuke(duh).  cant wait for more ;D

Yes i plan to post updates up here and get people thoughts about everything...Thanks man...I am thinking about giving him his Rapid punch attack as well i am not sure yet --;

Looking great so far! I really hope this turns out well. And if you did the english voice pack then I will praise you till no end.

But for the supers idea, I say make it a string of combos like Ryo where in the end he stomps him in the ground. And maybe you could make the Demon version of him as well when he was fighting Sensui?

Well i got most of his supers already planed out...This yusuke is basesd off the Dark tournament saga so i wanna keep his moves to the dark tourmament...

Just got another idea, this time it's for his Level 3 super.

Yusuke delivers a barrage of punches to his opponent and gives him an uppercut. Opponent flys above him then Yusuke delivers a Shotgun. Kind of like Rugal's God End. I can't wait to see the finished result!

This is Krizalid's sprite style for his rapid punch super


I cant remember how Kuando's style looks and I doubt I'll be able to find a gif of it but you can just download a mugen character of Kuando if you wanna see what his rapid punches look like.

no offense but that really doesnt look like yusuke's style cause he leans in more when he does punches. and if you think about it, would it really look right if yusuke was punching like that? but its just my opinion. never hurt to give an idea to what we want.

how weird i was actually thinking of that when i posted that message since i know he does it alot.

you know kenshiro(think thats his name)(from JS) has sorta the same effect on how he punches just dont have it spread out as much and not as many

Well obviously he's not gonna be leaning in that position, we're only referring to the arm motions. It's easy to make the punches look like that and make the body itself in any position you want. Plus that animation is really slowed down, it's way faster during gameplay.

pretty sure I know what animation you're talking about and it'd look pretty lame for Yusuke if you ask me cuz the way they sprited it is very dull and not very cool.
Nevermind, I thought you were referring to jo jo's bizarre adventures Jotaro not Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken. I still think it doesnt look quite right though.

at first i thought it was jotaro but got the guys kinda mixed up they almost look the same to me:)

Thats really good right there i will see if i can apply that to yusuke's rapid punch! I try to make it less "whip like" and make them straight quick jabs....I also i will post up what got for his Air rei gun so far a bit later on today...Kentaro's punches are ok but the effect am going for his on Krialid more so... thanks guys will get started on that right away! ( After i finish yusuke's Air rei gun animation)

i suppose ill just wait to see what the punches will look like. even though i dont like krizalid's punches im sure you will make it better than what i see.  i suppose to me its what i see is what ill get, but i know youre a good enough spriter to fix and make it look really good. cant wait to see the air spirit gun animation :sugoi:

Sorry it took a bit longer then expected  i am still trying to get my time management down since i got other things i need to to do :sugoi:



But Here is what i got for the animation i am half way done...I dont exactly use the sprites down below i just have them up there for reference thats all...All of those sprites i did are customs thats why took so long --;...I plan on adding the last two sprites (from the bottom row) and making him do a backfilp a roll out of the kick....I am pumped to finish it and get started on the rapid punches really looks like fun ;P

i knew you were using him for reference :) hes looking good so far in my opinion. are you going to make him mouth moves and such? it just seemed to me that he looks like hes mouthing the move(from sprites given)

Wow Thanks Everybody sorry it took me so long to reply.. I am currently working on finish this animateion...Its taking a bit longer then usual due to my girlfriend(She needs some Qt  :sugoi:)

I will be sure to finish everything up with this animateion some time this week so keep the good spirits up and the support as well...Thanks everybody and i hope to make this the best yusuke to date  ;D

Finding good spriters is hard but finding good coders is not as hard so I'm sure you'll end up finding someone who'll be willing to code it for you. Best of luck.

well damnit son get going already lol ;D jk dont worry at least ill still keep track(as well as many others im sure) as long as you dont say "well thats it im done, im sick of screwing with this project and the people that dont support this, make your own shit if you want it done" even though that is pretty specific i would hope that stuff gets done before you decide to quit or get more stuff done.

Yea i been watching the anime(Ep 1-89)....So I will be adding a lot of little things (like that punch your talking about) and when he uses his fully power against Torgoro  and the Energy bird files around him pretty cool stuff...also dont worry in the silm chance that i do that that i will release everything i did on yusuke so hopefully somebody can finish him...But thats wont happend --;...Anyways i will try to post something cool sometime this week...Stick with me people :sugoi:

Well Right now ..I haven't been spriteing yusuke manly because i don't have a programmer yet and I"m not feeling motivated...But When i get a programmer i will most def finish him up...Also i plan on updated yusuke to the new style i going on. but thats in the future until then  --;

Yea man i agree.. I am talking with two different programmers now both very experienced...No offence ARcoolguy I just put a lot of time and effort into him and i want him to get done some justice..thats all

its been hella along time and now i know why, hope you get a good coder soon:). i did notice the new style of which you speak of and i say comparing to your gohan and hiei, they are much better than what you got for yusuke, but im also happy with the yusuke you got now until you decide to change him to the better style.

joe's punching style will fit yusuke's delinquent style of fighting.

If you post up which animation your talking about...It would help me decide if i would like to use it..

 Krizalid's effect is pretty cool so i thinking about using that effect on yusuke..But if you can show me something better then that then i would use that.

Thanks i believe this is prefect for yusuke i will most definately use this one! thanks! i got a programmer for yusuke so i have to go back in finish up his  hit/ fall sprites and then i will get back on his attacks :sugoi:

I just saw this post and iv been looking for yu yu hakusho chars, but i thought instead of looking for one i can make one, my point is i wana help you guys finish up but i have no idea how to make mugen chars, what do you think i should do? i always wanted to make mugen chars is it possible to learn and help you guys at the same time?

I'd say you practice first by editing your own characters and reading spriting tutorials for a while before you offer any type of graphical help. He's pretty good and you're basically asking an NBA player to play on his team when you've never dribbled a ball  :-\

Still here just had to deal with my best friend getting married and my Gf moving so yeah real life is awesome you should try it sometimes it taste great when your having fun...

But yeah sorry about the wait so far we have Yusuke in mugen i hope to surprise everybody with some screenshots and a video so yeah its happening....Also im working on another project as well so im trying find out how to balance everything...So yeah I'm still alive ::)

Well done so far, but I couldn't help noticing that his Air Ray Gun animation looks off. The way his shirt extends into spikes...that should be when he's just firing off the blast, but it looks like you're intending for it to look that why while he's charging up. Am I wrong?
