Back in 1998, at a con, a special episode of Dexter was shown. This episode contained uncensored profanity throughout the whole thing and had been made specifically for the con.( technically the idea was to have a censored version for tv but that never happened ) Recently after consecutive pushes from the /co/ community and confirmations from Gendy that he still had the episode on a Reddit thread, Adultswim started airing a bump claiming they had gotten the video and that they will upload it within the week in its uncensored glory.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0g4E3xPtws
That was the same reddit they confirmed the Powerpuff Girls reboot, as well as the eventual Samurai Jack movie, as I recall.I fear for the online response to this, while also I'm curious just what the big deal is about it. It's not like they haven't had Dexter episodes with cursing before. Or am I missing some other important information?
Sorry Cartoon Network, but you missed your opportunity to murder childhoods when you had it, the internet and Deviantart beat you to the punch.
MC2 said, December 03, 2012, 02:15:06 pmSorry Cartoon Network, but you missed your opportunity to murder childhoods when you had it, the internet and Deviantart beat you to the punch.the novelty of it being a legend is still pretty entertaining thoughthis just makes me wish that pissed-off storyboard artist that penned up that rugrats episode (y'know, 'FRED FLINTSTONE'S HOME BITCH'?) followed through with his bizarre idea for the same reason
Mugen Guild: Pessimism, cynicism, and apathy. It's a god damn unseen episode of Dexter's Lab from the good years. If it's real and not a prank, what's to hate?I mean besides the fact that we're all adults now. Still I went back and watched a few episodes a while back and that show was even funnier now than I remembered it being. Iced I'm on your side for once, good post. Good post.
Hey, it's from when the show was good. I'd like to see it.I'll take that any day over post-Gendy Dexter's Lab.

DMK said, December 03, 2012, 02:35:41 pmI want to believe and hey they kept their word about bringing new stuff constantly to Toonami. This is very true. Plus they acquired some semi-decent stuff to put on Toonami to make it atleast worth checking out every now and then.
I'm kind of confused here. Is "Dexter" another TV Show, or when they say that, do they mean Dexter's Laboratory? Because Adult Swim has been known to air movies and TV shows featuring live actors. However, doing google search for Dexter's Rude Removal kind of brings up the Dexters Laboratory scenario. But there is a TV show called just "Dexter" alone, by itself. That's where it got me a little confused there.
Dexter's Rude Removal refers to the show that made Cartoon Network, not the drama about the killer. They've probably already had enough rude things removed in that show's air time, anyways. The recent events with Genndy has me wondering. Airing Sym-Bionic Titan on Adult Swim's revival of Toonami. Trying to keep Samurai Jack alive. This whole deal.Wonder just what they got planned....the fact that he confirmed that PPG reboot, and not Craig, suggests he's going to have a role in it again. If they're planning for this new Toonami, they can even return to its Whoopass Girls roots, do without the needed censors from before...But that's just me guessing at small leads.
God I hope you're right. At the very least Genndy needs to get with Adult Swim for an original show in the same "ode to something Japanese" vein as PPG, Samurai Jack, SB Titan and so on. Not having to worry so much about making it child-consumable would do wonders for all his shows. And while I'm thankful he was made to do so before, so that I could be shown such greatness at such a young age, most of what could be called his fanbase is old enough to move up to something less censored. Maybe a show about kaiju (as opposed to Titan's Super Robo, for those not familiar with Japanese genres of giant things fighting), or a tokusatsu-style superhero? I'd watch a Tartakovsky imaging of Kamen Rider. I'd watch the fuck out of it.
Llong Jjohn Killer said, December 03, 2012, 12:05:26 pmas well as the eventual Samurai Jack movie, as I recall.Too late, Aku is dead.
Didn't seem to stop Avatar when Iroh died. Though we still miss Mako, the show must go on. Just need to find a suitable replacement. As per Genndy making yet another new show, I won't complain, and would happily watch whatever it is, but if it's not too late, what with Disney and all, if maybe he can come in and fix the mess The Clone Wars slowly turned into.
Holy shit.... Dexter's laboratory!? Ah, Cartoon Network and their amazing heyday. Genny Tartavowsky contributed a metric ton of amazing content, like Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Samurai Jack, and the actual GOOD Clone Wars. I watched these show regularly. It's great to see Dexter's Lab getting attention. One of my favorite episodes was when he created that helmet that slowed time down. I'm chuckling as I type this...
Wow! about time the released news on this I thought they were just joking about showing the rude removal episode
Dee Dee flipping off people with only four fingers....and using the index finger? Ok then...Tomorrow afternoon...probably going to miss it. Eh, have no audio, so would be missing most of it anyways.
Wait wait..... Is this being broadcast live on the internet? or are they trying to show it on TV? If its being shown live on webcast, where are they showing it? Have they said when specifically? Like what exact time? Or just afternoon?
The adultswim site there says they'll provide a link tomorrow, so likely broadcast online. (Sure would be fun to have play on regular CN at that time, though. Defiantly shock people not keeping track of this.)
Well, got to see it with sound. Was funny. 6 more seasons, please. Was kinda hoping Mandark would run into the rude Dee Dee.
That reminded me how weird it is that cartoons like that always seem to equate extreme politeness with British accents. That "We're gonna go fuck up your lab" line was golden.
I think this would have been more funny without the censoring. Though if there is no uncensored recording, than I guess I can settle with this. Still pretty funny.
I've been hoping for this ever since I heard of it on wikipedia....It's beautiful....awhh haaaaa haaaaa!!!!! *cries*
That episode made me feel like I was a kid again for a short bit...................yes, that's even with the beeping.
I cant believe they wasted animation on thisseriously why would they think this would be a good idea usually something like this doesnt even get greenlit like the origin of spongebob's voice
Its not like cartoons curse and they bleep it out hasn't been before. It happens on a lot kids cartoons too.

He probably watches Boomerang. What kind of shitty mom would let her kid watch Dexter's Laboratory at the age of 5?Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyThe same kind of shitty mom that would let her offspring F-Bomb on a MUGEN Board at the age of 12.
So I watched it myself recently too."Were gonna go F*** up your lab!" was golden. So are we gonna get an uncensored version any time soon?Glad to see it was real though.
Actually, someone did make an "unofficial" fan made Uncut version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLU4gavXYJE
Not a bad edit at all, but I do hope they at least put up a download on their site eventually for the uncensored one, if there is one.
DMK said, January 25, 2013, 10:45:46 amNot a bad edit at all, but I do hope they at least put up a download on their site eventually for the uncensored one, if there is one.Hearing the fanmade uncensored version was pretty lame, it sounded better with the censorship, it makes the forbidden guilty pleasure much more forbidden and that makes it hilariously watchable. I doubt the orignal uncut version will be much better than the censored version. We saw the best one, just leave it at that. It was epic and tops.
Though it is interesting to note that during his video editing, it was found that the writers of the show actually added the beep in. It was not added in by either CN or Adult Swim. It kind of explains a few things. So I doubt we'll ever get an official uncensored version if that is the case.
Orochi Gill said, January 23, 2013, 06:42:12 amIt wasn't greenlit, it was convention-only until today.By greenlit I mean them actually making animation instead of just leaving it as a storyboard.

Any other forbidden fruit out there in the same vain as Rude Removal the internet can help find now?
The Pokemon episode that gave Japanese kids seizures, although seriously, they could really edit out the strobelights and just draw missles blowing up or something and everyone would be fine. There's also the missing Pokemon episode from 2004 that was supposed to happen but the earthquake in Japan happened, and the episode featured Whiscash using the move Earthquake.
