Since Christmas is coming up, I have released Dr.Gero.
Also, updated Trunks who now has a big difference in his Brave Sword attack, and Cell's Intro is adjusted to fit Dr.Gero.
Both Goku and Super Goku's Meteor Smash's movetype was horribly messed up which gave the advantage of being able to throw it's opponent 100% after they have blocked the move, which has now been fixed. MrSatan had a mild problem where some of the dust effects would stick to him and not disappear which have also been fixed. The latest Frieza AI by Zagi had Debug error messages which have been fixed now, for those who were bothered by it.


TRUNKS
1 Added wall-bounce and charging ability to the Brave Sword (unblockable when charged to the max).
2 Slightly changed the animation of the HK Burning Slash & also differentiated it's performance from the WK ver
3 Added the supermove effect of the Air-Burning Attack which I simply forgot last time.
4 Fixed the timing of the Burning Attack helper's Destroyself timing.
5 Fixed a pixel in one of the jumping slash sprites.

CELL
1 Arranged the Intro to fit VS Dr. Gero.

SON GOKU
1 Fixed the Meteor Smash's guard hit time. (Can no longer throw the opponent who has blocked the Meteor Smash afterwards)

SUPER GOKU
1 Fixed the Meteor Smash's guard hit time. (Can no longer throw the opponent who has blocked the Meteor Smash afterwards)

Mr.SATAN
1 The Dust effect in Miracle Megaton Punch will now disappear properly when hit during running.

FRIEZA
1 Debug error text deleted.

Agreed, also i wanted to point out that vegeta gets stuck on the ground when he trieds to get up from certain attacks :sugoi:

Out of all the autors in Mugen you are one of my favs of all time Choujin (along with Pots, Warusaki3, GM and Warner  :sugoi:)
You make these DB charaters the way others can't even come close to.
I hope you keep this up if your making more DB charaters in the future cause these are fantastic  ;D.

Sorry for going a bit off-topic but whats the best songs to use for the 5 DBZ stages on your site cause I really would like to use them on my Mugen.

557 already made a Broli,who was hosted not so long ago in Choujin`s site...then 557 decided to open his own site,making the hosting of Choujin something unnecesary :)

Once again a very nice character, with nice moves and all. I really like the fact that qcb+P and qcb+K can be chained into another special.

- Little thing I found is that when you perform Dirty Trap, if the opponent is jumping high enough, you can have the chains floating in the air as you can see there :

It's only a graphical bug, but I wanted to point it out.
- 300 damage is a bit much IMO for a level 1 hyper (Photon Wave).
- During Life drain, I suppose there should be life added to Dr Gero each time you hear the BUIP noise : it's the case at the beginning, but not at the end. Not a big deal, whatever... :P
- Also, all his moves have infinite priority, as your other characters. I'd like to know if you want to change it or let it as it is ?

Always Releasing top Level DBZ characters as always. Gero is really awesome, Im totally Loving him. Also I Love how you update Your characters so frequently, really Nice Job, and Lovely Work Choujin.  ;D

Dr.GERO & TRUNKS have been updated again . . .

Most of them are graphical errors, but would be very nice if you could please re-DL them again :)

TRUNKS
1 The supermove effect for the Burning Attack that was mentioned in the previous update, was still not being displayed correctly due to a pallet bug caused by MCM, which has now been fixed.
2 Also added removeongethit = 1 to some dust effets in Burning Slash.


Dr.GERO
1 Made Dirty Trap's chains twice as long, so they should not disappear when a character is high in the air, in stages with super-jump capability.
2 Also fixed a few explods which were supermove=1 which should have been supermove=0.
3 When using Life Drain against certain large characters such as OX from Fighters History, Android 19 was unable to grab the opponent and would disappear into the ground, which has now been fixed.
4 Adjusted the Jugglepoints in Death Lancer's follow-up move as well.

Could you please explain this in more detail? Another person had mensioned something similar about Vegeta in the previous thread, but later figured out it was due to some patch he had used from somewhere else.

whats the best songs to use for the 5 DBZ stages on your site cause I really would like to use them on my Mugen.
The songs I use for them are;

As mentioned, I have made the chains twice as long, so I believe this has been fixed, but since I don't have many stages with superjump ability, I am not 100% sure. Please inform me if there are still problems.

Most of my character's Lv1 super does somewhere from 280 to 300(at least when close). I decided to give Gero's 300 since his is much easier to avoid than the other character's which are mostly large beams.

I had given this much thought, and the reason I make the red boxes slightly larger are mainly for the combo ability (especially for air combos) . . . and to avoid standing attacks from missing characters that are crouching and/or are just very small to begin with. I did however attempt to make the redbox smaller than I usually do for most of his attacks since brought up, but not sure if it is noticeable. I may slowly shrink them little by little as time goes on in each update, but probably will not be significantly different for the above reasons.
(another reason in mind was so it would be easier to break the stones in Frieza's Phycokinetic Attack with out getting hit back, however I have since shrunk the red boxes in the actual stones, so this could possibly change as well)

In doctor Gero's Dirty Trap, the First ball comes down too slow. He is never able to chain it with his other attacks like punches that have a quick recovery. And he never hits anything with AI( or a human) because its very easy to move out of the way or block

This was intentional, and it is actually chainable after a standing Hard Kick (both far and close) as well as a crouching Hard Kick. Combos such as Jump HK > WP > WK > HP > HK > Dirty Trap should be no problem. However if this is unpoplular, I may adjust it so that it can be connected from a Hard Punch punch as well, but not the weak attacks.

The coding in his backdash should be no different than the others o_O . . . could you explain or show pictures of how he "floats up"? It is possible that something in the common1.cns in your data floder was altered and is causing some problem.

What i meant was that if vegeta get's hit by a special or is thrown sometimes he will not get up from it at all unless i press F4 :)
Are you using the most recently updated version? Does it only happen when he is CPU controled? Because once again, this has never happened to me, nor can I reproduce the problem. If it is Vegeta that throws an opponent, and that opponent is the one who does not get up, then it would be some coding in my throw, and if it only happens when he is CPU controled , then there could be a small chance that it is caused by the AI, but if it is just Vegeta's common movements, then it is quite possible it is something in your common1.cns that is causing the problem.

Alright i will go back and redownload the char again and test him out in watch mode and see if it happens again and if it does i will try to get a pic of it. :)

@Choujin I went to your site again redownloaded vegeta just to make sure it wasn't anything i did that would make him do this. After i downloaded him i went straight to mugen and went to watch mode to see if this would happen again, during the first round ryu did his spinning kick special on vegeta and this is the result of it. I also tried other chars to make sure it wasn't the chars instead of vegeta doing this and each time vegeta was thrown or hit with a special he wouldn't get up from it. (Now if i knew how to record vids i would show you live gameplay so you can see for yourself and also if it is my common1.cns then i wonder why it is only happening to vegeta then hmmm). I hope this would clear up this problem and is clear enough for you to find out what is going on, anyways awesome work on your creations their are the best dbz chars out there so far. :sugoi:

This only happens to Trunks, by the way.

you all should Turn on Debug mode(hold CTRL and press D) when posting these images
It would help him a lot if he was able to see what state vegeta got froze in etc.
So if you can, retake your shots with Debug mode on and edit your posts with Debug images.

In case you didn't know debug mode shows the data for a character like what sprite they are using, what state, which animation etc.

I know you have been working really hard on your characters, but when you have the chance, please make them hi res like the goku made by xande.  It would take your chars to the next level.  You dbz chars type of play are the best.

The sprites uses are low Resolution sprites. The quality can't be increased so easily.
