Can you tell us a bit about how it plays, does it have supers? Or all the required sprites? Because your brother did a good job if he actually sat down and drew all the animations.

yes he has 2 supers and required sprites he is a 4 button chracter with combos and uppecuts. he also has air supers (but they are the same as the normal ones)

Criticisms on the art are totally valid. The only reason they'd be a "useless reply" is when they're more insulting than helpful.

I'm in agreement that the graphics don't look close enough to Elmo. Just understand that it's something you can improve upon in your character -- we're not saying "omg it sukz"... well most of us :P

An anime elmo? why exactly? anyways the character doesnt look bad, but id rather him look like the icon, i think its mostly his eyes that are too big, maybe make them a little smaller, he might look more like elmo then. Also is that his tongue sticking out or is his mouth open? because his icons mouth is black when its open.

Feedback:

-You have a super attached to a button that does nothing pushed only.
-Alot of the basic attack anim. move too fast.
-Alot of your anim. have too many Clsns. 2-3 would due.
-Basics' Clsn1's are not covered properly.
-State 220 does nothing at all. AT ALL.
-All the hitpauses are the same for most of your moves, it might not be a problem.
-Turning anim and anim 650 has no Clsns, making Elmo unhittable.
-State 650 Does NOTHING.
-There are .bak files in the folder get rid of them.
-There are two palettes yet the blue.act isn't in the .def you'll need to amend that.

My characters use only 4 buttons too, but I don't make useless states just to fill in the other 2 buttons.

Its not that, why does state 220 and 650 have coding at all, not to mention why is there a command to let you use state 220 and 650?
Just delete them.

Elmo has a lot of variances on his look but there's a couple of laws of Elmo that you cannot violate.

One is that his hair never goes higher than his eyes and his mouth is wide and black. Another is that his nose should always be oval-like shaped.
Behold


You can maintain his anime eyes and have it still work.
If you can get your bro to make the rest of the sprites look like that....you'll have a more solid Elmo on your hands.

Aesthetics-wise...Sprites need improvement. He looks like elmo, but hardly feels like him.

His crouch hardly looks like he's not going low enough. He looks like he's just bending his knees. (Which makes him open to attacks anyway)
I can pretty much spam F+insert attack button for XTRA LONG COMBO. But its not an infinite though...and it can be stopped.
Also, he looks stiff and is too quiet.
Why does he say Oh boy! When he gets KO'ed? That doesn't make sense. Its like he's asking to get killed.
His projectiles come out too fast.
Also, walking while pressing Y does nothing while doing that with X and all other buttons he can do some nut kick or pimp slap.

I know sprites may not be everything, but the sprites are just plain bad. The animations are stiff, the sounds are badly ripped. Overall. I feel its sloppy, not jsut from the look but also the gameplay.

Who cares how it looks, it plays like shit!! I don't need to download and play to see that, I just read all the feedback users did about clns and general gameplay enough to think it's a waste of time download it...

Sprites can be improved, but gameplay not. At least fix that!!
