Stupid questions I know I will get asked:

1. Are you going to do a japanese soundpack?/PLEASE DO A JAPANESE VERSION!!!!!!111!111!!
Like Hong and Kanako, the answer remains no.

2. Why didn't you make one for Ryu by *Insert author here that isn't PotS*
Because I didn't feel like it. Feel free to use the sounds from the soundpack itself.

3. OMG! YOU LIAR! YOU DIDN'T CHANGE THE SOUNDPACK AT ALL!
Stop using Evil Ryu mode. I left those sounds untouched.
Now has English Evil Ryu included.

4. Are you going to do another SF4 English soundpack for another character?
I don't know. Probably not, unless I get really bored.

That's really good. I posted an english SND for kibanaruto22's edited Ryu by DG in his topic a few days back and I see you and I both chose a lot of the same sounds for moves and taunts.

It's cool to see that we both had some of the same ideas there.

I don't know why I never tried P.O.T.S's Normal Ryu before. I use one of the many edited versions of his Evil Ryu, but never really tried that normal one. Pretty cool.

To be honest, I think any person making that kind of soundpack would have used the same sounds for the same moves.

They're the....correct ones.

You know for Evil Ryu you COULD use Richter Abend from TOS2 since he's still voiced by Kyle Hebert and everything. I'm saying you COULD as I don't know how it would work.

I felt his Intro phrase didn't fit well with the intros. Like when he takes off his bag or putting on his headband.

Instead, I use the phrases "Give me a reason to fight", "Alright", Come on", and "Get serious" for the intros.

When I saw Ryu folding his arms. I thought his intro phrase was suitable for that.

Intros are fine, except "All right". I used "Let's get going" for that. The intro phrase for that just seems wrong, why I went for "This time, victory is mine" which fits much better.

I've seen the video showing some of your other work and honestly some of the sounds seem incorrect in the area in which they are used.

In my opinion, and it is just my opinion, but really I'd appreciate any attempts on English speaking voice packs for Street fighter characters.

Sure, some may be a bit off, but that can be fixed by those that download and use them as SF4 voice rips are available on this forum and sounds not liked can be swapped out.

I'm currently working on a voice pack for evil ryu and I'm actually using Siegfried's voice from Soul Calibur 3. It sounds similar enough to the person who voiced Ryu on SF4, well for me it does anyway, and there are quite a few demented phrases to use.

I have all the taunts/intro/win sounds done, just working on the moves/grunts now.

I will probably not post it, as I doubt anyone would really want it, and as I have read on a lot of stuff around here, people like to tear folks a new ass for really no reason.

Sure some post some really crappy stuff, and they use other people's creations without permission. In that, i can understand the negative comments.

Some however really try and are just looking for help/constructive criticism and they get verbally reamed. I don't get why that's done or even allowed.

If that's not the case, then you get no comments/responses whatsoever. The topic gets tons of views, and the stuff gets downloaded, but no one takes the time to even say rather they think it's good/shit etc.

Like I was saying before i went off topic there, I appreciate any English sound packs for Streetfighter or any character really.

I hope you do post your versions D20Watt. I'm curious to see what you've done with them.

As for Darkflare, I think your sound pack rocks and I'm using it and P.O.T.S's Ryu on my roster now.

I don't know. Sieg's too good goody to fit with Evil Ryu, but if you can make it work, more power to ya.

Oh yeah. "This time, victory is mine." I used that one for Evil Ryu's intro.

Thinking about it, Akuma says Tenma and several other things in MvC3 if I can get the clips cleanly ripped I could send them to ya if your interested Dark-flare?

Updated this particular soundpack to include the SSF4AE English Evil Ryu voices for...well....Evil Ryu mode.

So no more Richter-as-Evil-mode.

Also I figured that his one Japanese quote left could be well replaced by the english "this'll be an enjoyable bout" since it still fits with his intro against Ken, I felt. That and I replaced the "SHORYUKEN!" in Shin Shoryuken with the more dramatic one heard in Metsu Shoryuken when it connects.
