Where other places have ads, we have youtube. And the occasional confusion over whether or not it's a hacked rom.

I found mugen like a month ago?? Funny huh? I was googling Fighter Maker you know the old one that was delayed on release into us because the delvopers thought it wouldn't make much money..... I was looking for the old playstation disc set and stumbled apon this weird program named the same as a character off one of my favorite animes Samurai Camploo, and thought "what's this?" so I did a little reading and when it said it was a free engine I could not help it, I drove home got my mp3 player and downloaded it to my mp3 player then after work I started playing around on it. Basicly if I never have googled fighter maker for ps I wouldn't of ever found this wonderful little program

Dan (Hibiki) by R when I had SFA3 on PlayStation and was browsing the day's (much more interesting) Web about it.

EDIT: Oh, and it was because of SFA3's World Tour mode that I was already interested in fighting game customization. If there was no World Tour mode, I wouldn't be here.

The funny thing is at the time I thought I was downloading some 2D fighters on PC since there was a term PC on it and I never bother to ask why the word Mugen was there. Anyway, one thing lead to another and now I'm a Mugen fan.

i found it by accidentally searching for the wrong thing on google. and i stumbled upon street mugen from there. and i like the idea of customization so here i am

Was looking for Oswald combos when I got home from playing Kof XI in chinatown summer of 06 and I stumbled on the release thread for Ahuron's here. Been a member ever since.

Unfortunately that place doesn't have Kof XI anymore and Ahuron's sadly does not hold a candle to it. First thing I am doing when I learn more about coding is patching that Oswald up as much as possible.

Latest Yoshi alpha ready for feedback Aug 15th check here for details...

was just on youtube looking at street fighter crap, when i saw a vid of evil ryu that looked completely different.

i looked at it, and some other related vids and found out it was an engine called mugen that they were playing in the videos. and so i got it .

i was really bored one day, so i searched on youtube "mario vs" just to see what the hell i would get out of that, then i stumbled upon M.U.G.E.N Mario vs Wario, and i thought it was pretty cool, but i didnt think it was real until i saw more related videos

Found out from a Bleach forum. (GO FIGURE)

Guy had a bunch of JSS-like custom sprites that he was making into a full game and he posted a Youtube link. Searched the same forum, happened to have a MUGEN thread, lots of info in the thread, first character I think was Super Zero by GEM. Did some more searching on Google, and *bam* here I be.

last year, my friend told me about a game where you can be anything. he called it "Everyone vs. Everyone". While looking through google about "Everyone vs. Everyone," I saw a link about mugen. Aparantly, my friend wasn't talking about mugen. XP

typed "Primal Rage" on youtube, looking for stuff related to that, and stumbled upon a Talon/Vertigo vs Subzero/Scorpion mugen battle. did a wikipedia search, and read about it. i misinterpeted things, and thought all characters had to be made yourself. at the time, i thought. "too much work" this was about a year ago. recently, i remembered it, and gave it a try, and realized that you could download characters...been a fan since, and even got my own in the works. thanks, Primal Rage fanboyism

I found mugen via Emulatronia.com; they said: "Even if this stuff is not an emulator is very related to the scene because a lot of people uses emulators to rip from games. You should check it out"

Back in year 2001, I bought it in a pirated PC game shop. At first I thought it was a new game released by either Capcom or SNK

later in end of year 2002, I check in the website and found out that it is customized fighting engine where we can put any fighters from Capcom, SNK, Marvel, Guilty Gear etc in

more than 4 years ago IIRC, while looking for combo videos (in yahoo which was giving videos from youtube without my conscent

), then I started using youtube directly, and BAM ! MUGEN. PERIOD. MUGEN. PERIOD. MUGEN. PERIOD. MUGEN. PERIOD. MUGEN. PERIOD

while I was searching for MVC combos to see how far the juggles can go and stuff...and the first 2 vids I remember were one featuring big Onslaught & G.Akiha VS Apocalypse and it lasted 10 min (good memory

), and in the other video was Hyen vs Sonic Machine and the time in the lifebars was 3 numbers/digits (just wow at that time, with all those edits...I thought it was some official game...), then I googled sonic machine and I found NMario's site which I had no Idea what it was at that time, and unfortunately google directed me to the page of the sprite edits (without the website frames=>no links for the famous what is mugen ?... which certainely was one of the reasons that decreased the chances between my meeting with mugen).
and a long time passed after I beginned to remember those fights

the rest on how I finally found mugen was...let's just say I can't tell for some reason that one can't imagine no matter what (though I clearly knew what mugen was at some time, I was such a lazy ass that thought being addicted to adding/getting chars and stuff would be a pain in the ass, and I was somewhat discouraged...)

Someone put me on to Peroxide's SF vs. MK vid and I was like, "if he put so much time into that flash video why not make a complete game?" then just happened to stumble upon Mugen. Since I am a huge fan of 2d fights and games, been with it ever since.

I read about some sort of customizable engine/game with characters such as Evil Ken in a serious magazine about fighting games. Forgot about it for 1 year, and then remembred and asked a friend if he knew about it. He told me : "yes, it's called Mugen, I used to play it, it's fun, do you want to check it out ?"
Since then, I'm a fan.
