Huh ? Yes you can (even though I have no idea what you want to do ...).

I'm going to make Mortal Kombat vs. BlazBlue. Mortal Kombat vs. BlazBlue anyone? I mean that it will have 36 playable characters. I know that I feel that it would be the same. Imagine the one and only Scorpion vs. Ragna the Bloodedge, Sub Zero vs. Jin Kisaragi, Kitana vs. Litchi Faye-Ling, Jade vs. Platinum, or Quan Chi vs. Hazama. Well there would be 14 stages. But no Babalities, it would be considered fun.

Or do you mean you're going to create all the stuff by yourself ? Good luck with that, as you couldn't even add characters to a roster ...

And seriously, MK VS BB ? Completely different sprite styles and sprite resolution, completely different gameplay (did you at least play one of these games ?). Might as well create Pokemon VS Resident Evil, it would make more sense.

The Mortal Kombat side had Fatalities while the BlazBlue side had Astralities. Yes, I played both Mortal Kombat and BlazBlue. So it will have 3 vs. 3 battles.

To add characters to your roster.

1. Go to your MUGEN folder.
2. Open select.def with Notepad.
3. Go to [Characters], and search for a name that appears, "kfm".
4. Replace it or write below any other name.
5. Save your changes.

That's it. If you don't have any idea how this works, go to this really simple tutorial:

Also, commenting what you said about BB and MK. While MK you will probably find all of them, you won't have that much luck with Blazblue. As for now, this is all the releases I found about BB characters:

- Ares, an edit of Jin Kisaragi that uses Thunder instead of ice. Still incomplete, but it looks good ATM.
- A beta of Hazama, missing the chains and more stuff.
- Two Hakumens that uses the source game sprites, yet they're not accurate to source. One Len edit, Haku=Len, that is really accurate to source.
- One Len edit that imitates Rachel Alucard. Quite accurate to source.
- Two Ragnas that uses the source game sprites, yet they're not accurate to source.
- One Tsubaki that uses the source game sprites, yet it's not accurate to source.

So yeah, don't expect to find all of them. It's impossible right now. Funny thing is, for accurate stuff, you have to download Len edits

Yeah GUILTY GEAR mechanics, small hitboxes and crack speed are EXACTLY what Hakumen had in source.

Furthermore, the only Rachel thing that Len had was an astral.

The Len that imitates Rachel has exactly all the moves she has from BBCS. She also has that Wind drive. And her comboabilty is similar to source game. That doesn't mean she uses the sprites from BBCS. M3 did a really clever job to use everything from MB to create something really similar. He's a fucking hero for achieving such thing.

The same goes for Haku=Len, all the moves from source game, same gameplay and same comboability. At least that's what I feel. I'm a Hakumen player and I'm quite sure about that. Maybe she's a little faster than in source game, but she's really accurate to source.

Is that enough? I know you hate Len edits, but these ones are good. Did you try them before saying that?

But anyway, I don't plan to continue this useless argument with you. It's just derailing this thread for nothing. And perhaps you should consider searching of another way to say things, MC2. If for you someone who has problems using a "DB,F,D,B,DF" in a keyboard is somone who has never played fighting games, I guess it's normal for you to think that someone who considers something is similar to accurate because of gameplay, moves and comboability is someone who has never played that game before.

My Platinum The Trinity
and Zero-Sennin's Makoto Nanaya and Noel Vermillion

Even then they won't be 100% accurate

I will get frametimes by the hidden frame display tool I have been developing behind the scenes; perfect axis rips and a button that codes the character for me if I press it. Nanashi your entire post reeks of hypocrisy. Everything you just accused me of is what you do in ALL of your feedback. You can still play fighting games with a keyboard, it's called an emulator. Furthermore, it was your ignorance to the Blazblue system that lead me to believe you have never played it before. Don't put words in my mouth.

But as you wish, I'll drop the argument. I find myself beligerant lately, and ending up in fights with many of MFG's users. Whether this is my fault or just general ignorance I cannot say, but it reflects very badly on me so I will stop.

I know it's Astral Finish, but in Mortal Kombat vs. BlazBlue, I call them Astralities. It will also be a video game that basically be for the PS3 and Xbox 360. These Astralities only works if Finish Him!/Her! appears.

The thing is that threads like this shouldn't exist because adding characters in the select.def is one of the first things you'll learn mugen-related if you even put the minimum effort to read the damn docs that comes with the engine, or you can just use the unlimited power of the internet and find a guidedangit and check how it works...

there are idiots who even make videos on YT about themselves adding chars to their roster...

I'm thinking some things should be explained

mugen is only for the PC
You can't sell it even if you make stuff for it.
what you are trying to do is make a full game or make a screen pack depending on how costume
your stuff it.

you should have look around on the internet before joining a forum.
It would be way more help for to you to check out youtube.
