Figured I'd give character making a shot. Want to make her a cover-all-bases style, like P.o.t.S' work.Progress:All basic animations are done. All colors are properly separated, unlike other Ibukis to date.Large/small portraits done and satisfying. Art by elpinoy. All thirteen Third Strike palettes to choose from.Current Work: Standing Attacks and Target Combos.Planned:All specials as close to 3S as possible, except perhaps Kasumi Gake (thinking of a way to make it useful). All 4 Supers (Kasumi Suzaku, Yoroi Doushi, Yami Shigure and Hasshin Shou), more if I want down the line.Parry, Dodge, Taunts (3S Leapfrog and one other), X-ism feature, High Jump, etc.Add her ponytail (looking into using a helper, but this will probably mean any choke move will pick her up by the hair).

iirc, reza made his ibuki open source, some of the stuff is accurately ripped (i think the axes) so you might want to take a look at it.
Yippeee!!!! Best news I've read for the year so far. Ibuki is the rarest Street Fighter character for MUGEN and this is great to hear.About Ibuki's Kasumi Gake, if I had the chance to create her, I would have made the move a teleport. Ibuki's image from her forward dash would have been left behind as the effects from her QCF + K throw would be Ibuki dashing forward. If you want help on the 13 3rd Strike palettes, I would be glad to help. Best of luck with her.
I've been making palettes for P.o.t.S for years, I think I can manage in that department. Thanks for the interest, though.gamespy said, January 02, 2008, 06:42:47 pmAbout Ibuki's Kasumi Gake, if I had the chance to create her, I would have made the move a teleport. Her dash already has decent range and goes through opponents. Maybe something like Violent Ken's forward dash move, which at least beats projectiles.R[E]ika said, January 02, 2008, 06:04:37 pmiirc, reza made his ibuki open source, some of the stuff is accurately ripped (i think the axes) so you might want to take a look at it.I had a look at reza's stuff, but from what I saw he cut a few corners that just nagged me. I'll probably go back to it once I've put a little more work into mine.
Good, Ibuki is always welcome, keep the hard work man, by the way, it wouldn´t be bad if the supers can do just a little more damage than the original version in SFIII 3rd strike
I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw this wasn't Pocket Ibuki or some bizarre edited version. This is great news. It would be great to see a balanced Ibuki at 100%.
Chosis said, January 02, 2008, 11:38:51 amAdd her ponytail (looking into using a helper, but this will probably mean any choke move will pick her up by the hair). Is the ponytail split in every single animation? Anyway, for the required sprites you should include it right on the sprite, so it doesn't disappear during throws.
It's split for everything except super moves. The idea behind making the hair a helper was to keep its natural movement, and allow me to get the important stuff out of the way first. To be honest, my biggest concern is getting the character playing right, so if I need to resprite it to fix the hair I can do that once I'm done with everything else.
the ponytail is still just a cosmetic effect, nothing that would really affect gameplay, so you can even use fixed frames for it.
Good luck with Ibuki, it will be great to see what the final version will look like. The other versions were rushed jobs
cool, an ibuki i considered making her too once and yes in most sprites zweifuss separated the ponitail, no need to helper code rly, just paste the ponytail moving in the same frame thats what i was gonna doneways good luck
Hm.....interesting. Hope that this one turns out well. Do you plan on adding in anything special, like special intros, special states (Burned, Shock, Midnight Bliss, etc), and anything of that nature?

This might be my first character, but you can be sure I'm swinging for the fences with this.Having said that, production has hit a snag, frustration with code, personal issues et al. Might be a while before another update.
i think a kunoichi outfit would be more interesting. if you don't mind innacurate shading more akin to sfzero that sf3, i can take a try at that sprite. burned sprite like the ones in ds can also be tried.

Is this still going on? I hope you haven't abadoned this....twould be a shame, seeing how you have so much done already.
