I'm working on my first mugen character ever....Since I'm not very adept on sprite art...I'm using Binho's Sub-Zero as a template....yes I did get permission from him...I wouldn't have started the character otherwise...I have a few of his anims done.....here's a few sprites

you've made a mistake on the url.

try using imageshack, or photobucket instead.

I'm guessing those aren't when ur trying to show. Imageshack gives u a direct link, copy that and paste it inside [img] tags.

His name is Malchor...he was created originally in MK:Armageddon via kreate a fighter....I have obtained Binho's permission to use his sprites as templates,I'm also looking up all the tutorials for coding as I can to learn it....he has 4 normal attacks so far and one is already shown above...I did the sword myself....could be better I think....

looks good so far
I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.

I did the sword but pretty much drew over Sub Zero...cuz I'm not adept at sprite art...Binho is going to be credited in the .def file too because he's letting me use his sprites...the quality is mostly his doing....I am editing the moves so he isn't exactly like any of the MK chars...I'm open to suggestions regarding the art though...I want him to play good first and look just as good too

my concern though was...was he going to look too much like Kabal or Reptile?I was inspired by the Predator mask and decided to go with a metallic mask instead of a standard ninja mask....

I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.

I'll try that but at the same time I like how the green seems to stand out against the black....I did a blurry afterimage in statedef -2 as normal and it seemed to make him look like he was melting with the afterimage....looked awesome...if I can figure it out I'll post a screenshot soon...I will shade him a little though...thanks for the feedback...here's a screenshot...

F12 to make a screenshot in Mugen, then convert the PCX in PNG (not jpeg) using irfanview or photoshop, and host it on imageshack.
Sprites look cool for now, good job on that. :)

maybe throw his sword, or manipulate its length so it can serve as long range attack,
other idea since he has mechanical face, maybe then he can blow gas, that will stunt/ make opponent dizzy, or a laser sight too perhaps.
even like use his head as projectile, and grows another new head everytime

I couldn't figure any other sprites for the stance....I was thinking of using Saizo Hattori since that's where Binho made his sprites from....he will play well though..

Hi, I've played mugen a long time, although I've never posted here.

Your character seems very cool thus far. Since he has a mortal kombat vibe, will you give him fatalities?

Give him a backflip similar to Yun from SF3. I like ninjas with acrobatics and the like. (Can you imagine a rigid, senile ninja?)

Move suggestion:

In a special move, he throws his sword like a boomerang, but if he gets hit before it comes back to him, the sword falls down and stays there (waiting to be picked up).

In a hyper move, if the sword is on the ground (either by it 'falling' or by it being thrown, as another poster suggested) he summons it back to him and the sword transforms into a flame sword as it returns to him-damaging any opponent between him and the sword.

I hope that I have been able to adequately explain these ideas. They are probably difficult to code, though. Good luck!

hmmm.....reminds me of Kratos from God of War....very cool sounding though...thanks fer the input, yes he will have fatalities....although no animalities due to the fact I have no idea what his animal would be...babalities were ok but not for him, he will have supers and I might even try to combine elements from both Street Fighter 3 and UMK3....friendships are iffy at this point....ps...he will have a flipping attack....think of this...he grabs the enemy, teleports with him into the air, throws him at the ground, teleports again, then finally connects with a lethal backflip kick....also...Since I'm a fan of Gouki/Akuma he will have a tribute move similar to the Shun Goku Satsu, though he will not turn his back to the camera
