You got me all excited by saying there's BGCtrls in here, when in fact there isn't. 

Also.  This is 1.1.  Why didn't you use Interpolate Blend for stuff like this?

There's a difference between great and non-existent. 
Just like there's a difference between an actual BGCtrl and sin.x.

Scroll down to Interpolation. 

Interpolation gives animations two NEW functions and makes two OLD functions easier. 
New is Scale and Angle.  These let you change the size of something over time and spin the object over time. 
Old is Offset and Blend.  These let you change the position of the object over time and alter the transparency over time

Heck 1.1 even lets you use all of these at once if you need to.   :woeh:
Take control of the powah of 1.1!   :ssj:

Using Interpolate Blend means less lines of code for you AND it'll be smoother since mugen is filling in the blanks for you.

Ah man... I guess my Dell XPS M1530 doesn't support OpenGL rendering :(

I actually remember reading that in the docs, but i've probably skimmed over it.
Wait, I can scale stage sprites using Mugen coding now? That on the other hand, I did not know.

P.S. this might be a bit off topic, but where is everyone getting their mugen 1.1 characters from? I only have the handful that have been officially released on these boards...
I'm not really sure. I've been using Win/1.0 characters in 1.1 and most of them don't have any problems. (One character that will have problems is DivineWolf's Jill. When she uses her rocket super, the rockets vanish when they reach a certain distance.)

It's called BGCtrl's magik  :llama:

1.0 characters almost always work in 1.1 now but they usually don't work properly on zooming stages. As long as you don't use zooming stages, everything is compatible. On zooming stages, you might experience issues like fullscreen effects not filling the screen or beams ending early due to the larger visible screen area.

Amazing looking stage! But when I load it the background is pretty much black. When characters move some yellow starts to pop up. Hard to describe. Is this an OpenGL issue. Thanks.

Could you show me a screenshot? Are you sure you're using Mugen 1.1? Make sure it is because it doesn't work with the other versions of Mugen.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am somewhat new to this. Though I understand how to load stages and characters. My video card is a Geforce GTX 580 which can handle openGL. Yours is not the only stage I am having problems with. Will send you a screenshot once I figure that out. Thanks.

Yeah, most probably OpenGL problems, or maybe you just don't have enough RAM.

Trying some other stages out to see what happens. I have a pretty good video card plus 8 gigs of ram besides video memory. I really want to try this stage out. I do have the latest version of 1.1.

Thanks for your help. Mugen 1.1 works great for me except for any 1.1 stages. I did have to turn down my resolution to play make a 1.0 mugen stage playable to 1280 by 720 instead of the higher resolution. Sorry I didn't mean to take over your thread. Will definitely ask this on the 1.1 question thread.

I figured it out. Well thanks to the internet. I didn't set the rendering to OpenGL in the config file. You would think that would be the default setting. So now it works. The stage looks great!
