I am aware of the MIRC chat, this is just another alternative that we can try if enough people enjoy this chat. MIRC chat is to Mundane...boring...it has no multimedia capabilities whatsoever.

Well he had to try it out before commenting! I just tried it as well. I don't like

1) It is part of AOL
2) You must be at least 18 years old

(The MIRC chat is not a even MIRC chat. MIRC is just one of many, many IRC applications you can use to access it. I'm using X-Chat 2 myself, for example.)

I just like using 1 click chat rooms that are well, new looking. There is one more chat i want to try out. It has sounds that you can use to attract inactive chat members.

That's commendable. Two things that make it difficult in this case

1) MUGEN chats have long-standing tradition of ca. eight years, using IRC
2) only a small fraction of people are interested in chat rooms

Haven't tested your second recommendation yet, will later. It is possible that more people would try chatting if it were as easy as 1-click, but I think most people who don't like chatting don't like it because it's not as instant as instant messaging---they come to the chat expecting instant replies or constant action, which doesn't always take place.

besides, it's everything but 1-click on the long run. you have to go to that web page everytime you want to chat, instead of just having it running in the backgroud like irc clients do. also, "Sponsor: " made me close the page. Stuff I might have on my screen for longer periods of time must not have ads.

It doesn't requires java, and it's a lot easier to use!

What can it do?
There are there are 4 type of people on chat: Main Owner, Moderator, Member & Guests
Main Owners:
They can bann/unbann, kick & change stats of people on chat, delete messages & modarate with the chat
Moderators:
They can bann/unbann, kick & delete messages
Members:
If you make your chat only members, they can only preview it!
Guest:
not really special, only can ignore other guest's if they getting anoyed.
Well it's up to you if you want to make one ;D

it's a thousand pains in the ass trying to log in irchighway...it disconnects me and tells me users from my isp were fucking spammers, eventhough I check/use that something it tells you
emailed them and they directed me to two threads that are far away from solving it BECAUSE THE HISTORY OF MY ISP IS ALL ABOUT SPAM
