No, I'm not wrong with the section... and I'm not joking, either :(

(feel free to translate it)

A rough translation of this is the forum and website haven't enough visits, also the real life of team members absorved them and Misamu himself (who made the text) hasn't enough time and energy to continue. So he'll close MC in january 20 and he thanks to all for the support. Also, KOFZ will be released almost complete and will be open-source so anyone can continue or use their stuff from there.

A sad news, another big MUGEN community will end soon... RIP MugenChina :'(

it's sad  that mugenchina close , I lost my coins forum XD , thanks, to misamu and the kofzteam for the support and the contribution for the community  with a lot of snk sprites rips and other games , I miss mugenchina  it was my first mugen forum -_-

I see that mugenguild will survive the end of the world , it's anti-mayas prophecy XD

I feel very bad about this in many aspects:
-My first chars and stages became from MugenChina, especifically from their old website and most of them made by Misamu
-Various Mugen Hispania fellows (like Tuzaboy, MadKat and KeiDash) posted often in their forum, even some of them became mods (like Tuzaboy)
-Apart of MI, one of my first MUGEN hostings comes from MC thanks to Misamu and Tuzaboy (see above)
-Wuwo and Misamu ripped a lot of characters from many games, various of them I used for various of my characters
-I always admired Misamu and his work, I would like to meet him
-And I Posted some time in MC forum, posting my creations in their news subforum and even in the spanish section (made by Tuzaboy)

So yeah, I feel very bad about this, seriously. And this reminds me the end of Mugen Hispania recently happened. I hope their creators (like Misamu) come back soon or even come here to this forum u_u

This is a sad day for mugen.
I'm wondering now if anyone can archive their stuff in honor for them for future generations.

What Basara said for the rough translation is mostly what it DOES say( for the characters I can read) but there are a few other things more to this paragraph.... Hold on while I look up the simplfied characters.

Little known FACT: If you use the equation, (z)velocity = (((x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2)^.5) / time and z = a small decimal number in mugen you can get something that follows something else. Useful for heat seeking missiles, black holes, magnet effects, a projectile aimed for an enemy's head... Seriously, try it! It's awesome!

Well this sucks. I remember visiting MC a bunch of times for their KoF content. Looking forward, I sincerely hope Guild remains as strong as it has been lately for plenty of time to come. I understand things come and go for a multitude of reasons, but it would be a damned shame to see this place fade into obscurity. Mugen is just too damned fun and there are a lot of great people here. To play it safe, I'm gonna start collecting E-Mails!!

And this is pretty much the only site I visit outside of a handful of others. I'd say Guild takes up 90% of my net time!!

To translate Chinese to English it is best to summarize long paragraphs like this one instead of translating word from every word exactly. Chinese has hardly any sentence structure, if I were to do a very raw translation of this to english, all you would see are "random" words grouped together. Adding sentence structure to it changes things so I have to be careful with my translation. I recognize some of the simplified Chinese characters a little more now after looking some up, just wait a bit longer.

From what I know, China's language is ridiculously hard. The tone of your voice can completely change the meaning of a word and I'm pretty sure there's like 3-4 different tones. I can only imagine what their writing is like.

mandarin (official langage) has 4 tones and it's not that hard to learn in the end because there is no conjugation and simple grammar...(cantonese is one hell of a tough langage)...the reading/writing on the other hand is a bitch though because learning enough characters to be able to write/read is strictly memorial.
when i was learning it, we were told that we would potentially be able to talk/read/write properly after 2-3 months (which was true)...of course, living in China sure helped a lot for practicing purposes

sad news for mugen indeed regarding mugen china: always seemed to be that huge creatively active forum to me, never thought it would close

The Chinese writing is not as scary as people say it is. There is hardly any sentence structure or grammar, meaning what you write all together can be understood more easily, MUCH more easily. Hand writing the characters are not too bad either. First you learn "base" or easy to write characters and then you combine easy characters together to form one new character. This makes remembering them and writing them a hell of a lot easier. When you can do that you will be able to remember and write characters like this:

If you look more into the character, the character is actually made up of smaller easy to write characters. Also for anyone learning chinese, no other chinese character is like this to this extreme, don't worry. :P

The only thing bad about Chinese is that you have to memorize around 3000-4000 characters AND character combinations. There is actually a grand total of around 40,000 chinese characters used in history but you don't need to know all of them and NO ONE does. Knowing all of them would be like knowing EVERY word in the english dictionary, which no one could ever do.

I'm specifically Chinese, and the Chinese Language revolve the same structure as English. SOV Style (Subject-Object-Verb). It also depends on which dialect you're talking about, but since it's just simplified Chinese then you don't really need to know the major differences of Dialect. Memorization is key for Chinese characters/words. They usually are formed through combination of symbols that represent a character. However, that topic is supposedly not about MugenChina.

MugenChina was one of the forums that I liked visiting. The visual style of the forums was nice and one of the best creators that I liked was there (BoomerHere who made the Ougon Musou Kyoku characters). I still ponder on what he is actually doing now... I really want to collaborate with him on such a project =l

Wow... this is really sad, fortunately I got all MvC2 system rips by Wuwo, and KOFZ was the best masterpieace I ever saw on mugen... but that hardly makes for a relief ;(

Maybe they will return... someday :(

that's not saying much

as true as that is people always talked about infantry as a "major" mugen site. When mffa was still going when infantry basically died before it actually closed. I realize my point was kind of bad but I feel we might be up there with some of the most active uh non foreign mugen sites around. Not as much as guild by any means but still up there.

Ok guys good news here's the translation.

He first mentions that MugenChina started in 2005 and went on for 7 years.

He thanks everyone that supported him.

He is closing the site because mugen is not popular any more and he and his team has some real life work problems to deal with.

The King of Fighter project is being made VERY slowly.

He and his team does not have enough power, energy, and time to continue.

He plans to close the site on January 20th 2013

He will leave the site up for visitors for a bit longer.

His King of Fighter project is around 50% done but he does not want to quit just yet.

He and his team plans to redo/remake the site (or get a new website) and will keep the current site online until the change. He and his team likes the changes anyway.

He thanks every one who supported him for all these years again and says they will see each other soon.

IIRC he could get sprites that were harder to get. IE actually having to rip them instead of being able to frame advance with artmoney. Like some fireballs and other special effects not attached to the character. Still a good resource even without axis just so you don't have to hunt them all down and manually rip them.

Okay, seeing how this is already gone and was probably the site with the most SNK resources, I think we should somehow compile a list of everything that was saved and reupload them on mediafire or whatever.

I had some MFFA members getting some of the sprites. I was going to start getting them after I got back from my xmas vacation because I thought the site was going to last till January -_-

I'm already in the process of trying to make an archive for rips that go down. Not on my forum, I'll be deleting that soon. So anything that people upload here I'll add to the archive I'm making.

I'd say that we should try to recover anything that was open source.

In the event that we can't gather all the sounds they had, I can also rip the remaining voice files from PS2 games.

What about rips from games like HnK? Is there an alternative out there already?

Also, if I recall correctly there were also some special NGBC rips that were partially aligned.

Im Mc forum  fido,thanks those friends help to upload characters on mediafire. Last year I visit the web and closed I also   dont know  why, maybe the host feel busy ,have family and look after his son, no time for forum and close it.
