When I hit the bottom center button when putting in sprites, does it automatically put the sprite in the right place? Like if it wrer standing on a stage?

And how are you going to go about making an "accurate character" if you're just learning how to code ?
Not saying it's impossible, but it's easier to start with the basics of Mugen coding before starting to use Artmoney and such to get accurate vels, hitpauses, etc.
And accuracy can't be achieved unless you have avery good knowledge of the character, and to an extent the whole game, from which you want to make said character. Are you a SFZ3, SF3, SF4, CVS2, MVC2, KOF, MotW, or MB fan ?

I am more of a Marvel vs Capcom 2 person. I say this because I have the game for Ps3.

And as for the accuracy statement, I have all the time in the world for this so if you suggest to start with basics then I will. I was planning and learning the basics then applying the advanced stuff to the basics while I was creating the character you guys suggests. Only to move on piece by piece incase I messed up anything and with the help of this fabulous Forum I think I can accomplish that.

I like to observe several character's files when making stuff, so you can do that. For example, if you need to see how Character A can link into his LK/Short 3 times, then you can look at KFM's triggers, as he can chain into his jab (methinks)

I Think I'll download the old FF because there are many video tutorials for it. I noticed that when I searched for video's to create chars, they had many people saying that the new FFU is confusing. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try that!

Can you stop changing the title of the thread? I hate when people do that.

Anyway, I keep both the Old FF and the Ultimate one. The Old one is good for pallettes and editing the animations while I use the Ultimate for making the CNS.

You know when the sprites are right when the feet of the sprite (Let's use KFM for an example.) are touching the bottom of the background (In Ultimate). It's hard to explain in words, but I'll use this pic; (Sorry for JPEG, trying to make this quick)

Thanks man! I'll fix right my sprites fight now. Sorry....didn't want to spam threads. I've seen those 5 locked thread by that guy and how the moderator said to make one topic. I kinda use the title to describe the problem without people having to come and read..

I don't have a problem with updating the thread title, please don't edit the first post though, it's hard to know where we're up to and who has answered what. No, Center bottom will NOT align things properly. It'll just put the lowest point of the whole sprite on the axis, you need the soles of the feet there.

Also, he made 6 threads asking almost the same thing. That's just silly.

Do I save Sff file as individual palette or shared palette? I only did the standing animation so far...

Yeah, He has moves with different colors and intro's with different colors than the palette I have right now..

Oh Kayy. On the life of me, I cannot figure out what spr-lib.c line 560 error is. All I did was set up the collision box and the standing animation and save the sff file.

Yes it is, but I wouldn't necessarily start over, try a few workarounds first, you could possibly discover something and broadcast the information based on that discovery here [ Quite frankly this particular error needs to die, completely, it's an annoying piece of shit that frankly leaves no detail on how it can be fixed or what went wrong ]

I already gave up on the old fighter factory for that error and just used what I learned on FFU. I can actually see the standing animation now.

[ Yeah, I understand that completely. Nothing in life is perfect because people have their own perspectives. I would'nt disrespect anyone else work either, no matter how much it sucks. There is only room for improvement in their cases. ]

Please tell me you're not using the elecbyte template? I have never EVER had that error on FFC. Not once.

If you are using it. Find it, delete it. Use KFM. Never use the template again.

Actually, I'm using your blank files from your Narutorial. I never opened a Elecbyte template or a Kfm file. I found the Elecbyte template somewhat corrupted when I saw to blakc pictures when I didn't enter any black pics.  I got confused when someone had a tutorial on using kfm file.

[ Your tutorial is the best tutorial I have seen so far. Quick question though, are the sprite groups based off of their animations starting action? ]

Aside from the required sprites, you can actually use whatever the hell you like. It's just a good idea to match up from an organisational sense.

? Group 20 for what? Also, I noticed you had your basic movements for walking, crouch, etc. I find the whole group thing confusing but that is a great idea. Really easy stuff to remember and go back to.

So... I need to find a tutorial that can help me change the selection screen and vs screen portraits for PotS ryu. The ones I saw were confusing.

I'm likely to use FFU because the old FF is throwing all types of errors even with that blank file from cyanide.
Maybe the old FF has some issues with a particular operating system.

As those files were made for the old FF the only problems you should be having are ones you have made for yourself due to not knowing how to configure palettes properly. Blank.zip is in tutorial 2. I hope you've actually done tutorial ONE first.
