This isnt funny navetsea.
edit: well ok, its funny, just not ah ah funny, more of a "how did they get to this point ffsake" funny.

in relation to this ( but before this formal accusation) vatican had previously stated what amounted to "nowhere said it was illegal to not report child abuse"

The Vatican noted that at the time, in the mid-1990s, there was no law in Ireland requiring professionals to report suspected abuse to police and that the issue was a matter of intense debate politically

and before people start bitching about how they are just hating on them to be cool, this is mandated viewing. if you can go over the intro without feeling disgusted there is something wrong with you.

OK, but this one is no joke,
... truthfully sodomy, bestialty, masturbating are considered sin, but in bible there is no single passage about child sexual abuse.... this kinda puzzled me, maybe then it was or maybe is still a common/normal practice in middle east?

anyway the only solution for you catholics to go forward is to abandon vow of celibacy, and send all the priests and nuns into normal everyday life, earn money, have something for themselves, have people who love them, and then maybe you'll survive.

No shit?

Its something that happens when sick people are given power over others.
Now get a rich organization that claims to be representatives of all the moral good in the world and have them cover up and help child abusers go free in order to keep looking good.  How is that not an issue with more religious people?

So do teachers and scoutmasters, but in none of those cases you have an organization watching your back while you do it.

Imagine you work for a newspaper agency, and you start killing journalists of the competition, it has happened before, now imagine that the newspaper you work for gets to know you did it and decides you are a pretty cool bloke and supplies you with a car so you can get to the killings easier.

"they do it too" its not an excuse.

it was not an excuse, but it is everywhere, and not church problem alone, the higher up do the covering just like in that movie General's daughter.

Go watch the documentary from bbc i linked. and see why its a major church problem, specially if they are being formally accused of crimes against humanity. Those actions cant be excused and waved away like that.

The moral hypocrisy is outrageous in a country where homosexuality is not only strictly forbidden but savagely punished, even between two consenting adults. However, men who sodomise young boys are not considered homosexuals or paedophiles. The love of young boys is not a phenomenon restricted to Afghanistan; homosexual pederasty is common in neighbouring Pakistan, too. In my view, repression of sexuality and extreme gender apartheid is to blame.

And in the Middle East, it's young girls who are considered desirable and men are able to satisfy their lusts legally through child marriages. In Yemen, more than a quarter of girls are married before the age of 15. Cases of girls dying during childbirth are not unusual, and recently, one 12-year-old child bride even died from internal bleeding following sexual intercourse. In another case, a 12-year-old girl was married to an 80-year-old man in Saudi Arabia.

catholic church is european based, if it would be in yerusalem, then the whole world won't give a damn, just like how common child prostitution in more than half of the earth.

I really hope this makes it all the way to the courts.  I've never understood this weird mentality that suggests that these sick fucks have different rules that apply only to them just because they're religious officials.

I just realized something.

When I got confirmed, the priest told me that I would gain the power of the Holy Spirit to allow me to speak on God's behalf.

So if God makes something for MUGEN, does that mean I can be his spokesman?!

If I remember correctly there was a case where a Priest raped a girl and the people who backed up the priest (doesnt know if it includes the Vatican) says it was the girls fault for seducing him. Did he actually get away or what happened? I dont remember..

But its good to see some justice done finally. Would be concerned if the whole trial takes place in the U.S. but dont mind me im just an imbecile.
