Random Frankensprite edit inspired by Kulo

Yeah, after seeing the sprite, dubbed 'Kulo', I randomly decided to edit said sprite.

After goofing around for a couple of hours, and going through several stages I arrived with this:



After looking at the hand position, I couldn't help myself:

I've decided to move the character in an odd direction.

To try something out of the ordinary, I was making frames for a move in which his sleeve would dissolve before he delivers a punch.
Then my mind began to wander, and I wondered about something powerful enough to not only dissolve his clothes, but his very body.
So that only his bones are visible.

I've been working with the idea, and have come up with and I'm currently spriting several ideas involving his body melting away and reforming.

I've been studying and editing a lot of shock sprites.  ;P

Currently working on an intro where he begins as a skeleton, muscles begin to form, followed by skin, and then his clothes appear.
The character then stretches and cracks his knuckles as the round begins.


Working on it in steps, and then moving on to transition frames.


The skeleton is an edited shock sprite.
The muscle frame is scratch.


Still needs some cleaning up, the right glove needs some work.



Perhaps moving in this direction might also make for a more interesting back story.

Well! That's very surprisingly good! That's gotta be the most detailed thing I've seen so far, both from the skeleton to the muscles. o_o


Though I'm guessing the muscles are going to take quite a bit more work to do compared to the rest. The skeleton bit shouldn't be any problem if you're able to edit shock sprites as it is methinks. But that's my two cents ^^;;

I've continued spriting assorted animations of the past couple weeks.

I'll probably make a WIP thread when I finish up the rest of the basics, which should be soon.

I just made that Kyo stance as a joke.

While this one started off as a joke, it sort of evolved into a viable WIP.
