Title speaks for itself.Ten minutes ago I knew that the Spaniard creator JC(Juan Carlos) has gone.He made a lot of chars, tutorials, and ho to rip sprites, aswell othr things related to MUGEN. All in Spanish. So, Rest in Peace.Descansa en Paz.
It was because of the tumor he had?just read it was cancer.http://eternal.mgbr.net/I know he had been gone for a while (4 years ago) but I do recall his stuff was top notch back in the day when we actually still cared about processor issues. I really liked his stages, and he always striked me as a rather kind guy. May his soul rest in peace.
damn I remeber this site and the tutorials sorry to here this. Descansa en paz Juan Carlos y gracias por brindarnos de tu tiempo.
Nrvnq[S]r said, May 22, 2008, 09:03:11 pmWhere did you get the information? I'd like further information.SPEKSNK. It seems someone 'round there knows him closely and thn Bloodykfka told it to me.
I didn't get to know him, but hearing such news about a peer is always terribly depressing. May he rest in peace.
Although I haven't gotten to know him as well as Reu, I hope that he rests in peace. He deserves the respects for his contributions to the community.
Really sad news. I remember downloading some of his characters. My thoughts go to his family. How long had he been sick?
sad, I met him and talk with him sometimes in Msn....I know about his cancer problem...He did good things and was good person too....we will never forget him...about his sick, I remember since 2004 I knew about his sickness..
He was sick from before, some argument happened back there (2000-2001) and people though he used/lied about his sickness as a defense. Sad to see he was really sick.
My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.Juan Carlos (also known as eternalmugen, antidark, JC, Syous or nightwing) faced a cancer several years ago and he overcame it. Sad to see the disease got back to him after some time and eventually killing him. Despite him leaving the mugen scene 4 years ago, he was rather active in the emulation and the GP2X communities. Last time I saw him active was by October 2007. Then I thought he was busy with real life or lost interest, but would never imagined he was ill again. Poor guy, he didn't deserve such tragic end.And just as an informative snap for those unaware of mugen history. JC made lots of creations, but they were far from being top notch. He never accepted criticism very well, and basically told anyone to just shut up because he had had a cancer and had overcome the disease, therefore the rest of us had no right to criticize his works. That behavior made him the target of mockeries from other people because having a cancer has no relation to coding skills, yet he used that as a defense. In any case, he set a milestone on the scene and we must remember and appreciate him for that. He certainly tried to help a lot of people with either his tutorials or by offering help, despite his lack of skills and paranoid behavior on "everyone's against me"
Remember how he lived and not how he died. And I hope that mgbr will still keep his site up in his stead.
I just noticed this now, I was unaware of his passing until I came across this thread... I'd like to put in some words, which would be that I remember when I first started playing Mugen in around 2002 I believe, I came across Juan's Mugen site and was amazed. Hehe...his Eternal Champions screenpack was probably the first that I ever used. Personally, I never spoke to Juan or even knew him that well, but if it wasn't for him and his creations, I might not have loved this engine known as Mugen as much as I do today.Rest in Peace Juan Carlos, we'll remember you!
