Well, crazy idea. After thinking a bit, I couldn't decide. I like both SF and Tekken sagas, so, after Viper(and 2 collabs I have) I don't know which way I will be following.

So, after seeing how capcom performed SFxT I thought: why not a crossover like that?

It would be cool and all, but I still need something: A team.
I have a possible coder interested in this(his works are good as Hell, if you want to know), but still, I would be the onl spriter involved in this, so I'd be needing to count with some people...is someone interested in joining the team? Please, don't enter just to post: "woah!+1" because that's useless and doesn't helps a lot. Also, it's annoying. Not trying to be harsh or etc, just realistic.

Graphic Style: Here comes the biggest "problem". And I mean, problem? we could be using SFZ sprites and then convert some tekken into it...yes. But not at the same time. That's lazy as fuck and using 15 years old sprites would put us in the same place as Capcom using Vampire Hunter's Morrigan in CvS1/2. Ewwww...

Recently, I was making some experiments with a style that doesn't takes too long to sprite. Ryu's, for example, spent 20 minutes to do the whole sprite. Also, it looks as a 2D version of the 3D models(more or less):

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

Sprites are a bit bigger(not too much) than SF3, but the difference comes in...they use 3 THREE colours per zone, 4 if it requires something extra(skin shine and such). Also, colour separation is a must, just for making things more interesting.

So, your thoughts. Are you interested in joining the team? Which side, spriters or coders?

Guess it's all, have a nice day!

If I wasn't overplanned already I would certainly be interested in joining, but damn FeLo this graphic style you've developed is really top notch and has a unique feel,
and you say it's a fast method as well so that's even better!
You're using SFxT screenshots to trace, correct? Have an idea of how many frames per animation: something like CvS or more SF3?
I want to see where this is going. Come on people, FeLo is finally getting on a nice big project, help him out!

You would be keeping more or less the same gameplay right? From SFxTekken? If I didnt have so much to do, I might be able to help(Im not that great of a coder though imo)

If you guys can get a ways in and I get some free time. I might be able to help(Im kinda helping a few people lol). Good luck

I would be using SFxT movies/screenshots, yep. Recently DLed some videos (Thanks to CraigNB!!) and made some test(these sprite bases).  It would be more as CvS in terms of frames :) .

Thanks, Avenger. About the gameplay is something out of my "area". It's something still to discuss, so I guess we're open to ideas. SFxT received some critiques because of it, so yeah :)

I wouldn't mind helping a bit... I'm just worried I wouldn't be able to emulate the style very well...

I gotta say... these look absolutely awesome. Love the shading, everything...

Keep it up!

Yes yes a million times yes! As far as gameplay goes it probably should play similarly to SFxT, but I do have ideas (as usual.) that would balance it so that it doesn't play as broken as SFxT does in actuality.

If anybody wants to play a game similar to SFXT they should just go play that game instead of this. I hope you can find a system interesting enough for this game, even if it's nothing revolutionary (Doesn't need to bring anything really new to the genre, it's all about how you combine stuff).
pls

Well that's a good way to go about it too, I'm not big a fan of SFxT's gameplay system myself.

that sprite style is awesome. i hope you manage to make some characters at least, or teach others how the sprite style works and what the process is like

My PC is "broken"(gonna kill you, sis'!), so I can't accede to my account at mediafire(I had the password somewhere at there...and I can't remember which was >_<!!!). That's the reason why I'm using a BIG link for the download. Sorry, people :/

Have a nice day!!

I also gave it a try for the heck of it, not too proud of it though.
I also didn't rescale him: I had those outlines lying around and didn't want to do clean-up :P

Wow, that's not nearly as complicated as I thought it'd be (it's still plenty of work, though, of course).

I'll give it a shot.

It looks like his left (your right) boot could use a few retouching, take a few pixels off his boot (up to 3-5 pixels of width).

You should also take a few black outlines of his hair (not all of it) and use darker colors for it.

With all do respects, i'm not a fan of that face, his nose is missing, he has a lot of contrast on his grin and his hair could use a few more details, you should look at Felo's Blanka/Sagat/Ogre to get adon's skin(Feet,Knee, etc) down. It looks really good.

Okay so I scrolled through the options menu of the 360 version of SFxT. Good news. You can disable the music and sound effects leaving only voices. More good news. There are both japanese and english voices for every character. Bad news.My microphone which I use for my voice acting, as well as what i was going to use to rip the voices, the cord to its amp has a short in it..More good news...I have the money to replace the cord..its only like$30-$50..not too bad..But I spent $500 on my mic..so the voices  will be of good quality once all is in order..IE: My Galen Marek/Starkiller stuff I ripped from The Force Unleashed 2 recently. Even more good news. I am willing to code any and all of the characters. Asuka and Lili in particular. And even more good news. I know how to make it possible to be able to alternate between Japanese and English voices through coding...giggety.

Sorry for the late ask, but I can't post that often untill my PC is back :/. So, quick asks:

- Duo Solo: I'll see it this week :/ I know i sucked, but it was the best I found  in 10 minutes :S
- Titiln: Thanks for the new link. Feel free to change whatever you think, no problem :)
- Matatat: It's somehow a good start, since you're using most of the basic points :9. But there are things that could be changed for improving, if you don't mind:
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
- Balthazar: MAN!! I liked Guile, but maybe using harder lines in the lower arm/elbow and the zone where it merges with the torso, would be good. Hair could use a darker tone(look at Nina's or Ken's). Aside that, it's a pretty good one, proud of you, dude!
- Graphicus: Feel free to make a try, I'm sure you can do a good job :)
- Edward Elric: Awesome news :O!!!Sorry to hear about your microphone :/ And making possible the change jap/english is even better :O!!!! I'll send you a PM when I have my PC back, since now I'm a bit short of time.

Thanks for your time, have a nice day!

I'm Fully interested in Coding the characters, if an extra hand is needed. :)

Spriting I'm like a 4/10 so I wouldn't be a great deal of help in the department. As far as making effects, I'm pretty skilled at that.

I'd definitely be willing to code. But I'm sure there's plenty of veteran coders out there that'd want to code these.
