It's probabbly a corrupt download becasue the server was out of bandwidth, wait for the server to be back and try again. And yes, lzh can be easily decompressed with winrar.

41, you're gonna to regret this.

Finally i have downloaded Shiki Ryougi and i have to say a good Melty Blood char from 41.
However, since i like Melty Blood so much, maybe i'll have to play the PS2 game or from the PC.
But for now... it's a good mugen char.

Well, the people who like Melty Blood told me at the box that she would be best locked in her Crescent MoonStyle for now (so we kinda edited our copies like that atm) the Half Moonstyle has no attacks yet... just gotta wait for some official updates.

And damn, her sprites, design and animations are so awesome...

I agree with you, Ryougi is one of my fav characters. Heck, a cross between Ciel and Ryougi would be awesome! But... is that Reena from Star Ocean on that pic?

Sorry I'm late.
Flare, I had MBAA in front of me to confirm that. The only real problems I've met with this Ryougi were that her charge inputs were too early, so holding the button for about 3-4 frames will make a charge attack when it shouldn't.
That, and I haven't managed to pull off the infinite previously shown.
If anything, updates will fix any surfacing problems if the author is made aware.
So to say that this beta is nowhere near decent leads me to believe you haven't tried worse.
Like Ouchi's Ryougi. :V

Yeah 4shared is fine for me too, only real prob is that the stuff expires after 1 month if the uploader doesn't log in to his account. I don't think that happens to skydrive but I haven't checked when does/if the uploaded stuff expires there...

Well, apparently inside the DEF file there's a line that links to a text file of states only for RC or something, looks for me like this atm:

I haven't fixed my notepad to read Japanese yet, but I think the readmes should state somewhere that one should do this to make her compatible for winmugen.

I wonder why would someone make an AI for her when she doesn't even have all her moves coded yet to use an AI with (worse back then) Oh well, good to know anyway dude.

Well when I tried her still kinda felt her animations stiff, I hope 41 centers in that first than all later....

The AI patch by Zecruss is safe to use even on the updated Ryougi, but it reverts her back to her older version.
The cns file shiki_cmd file size is bigger, the cns files shiki_h and STAND are smaller than the updated Ryougi Shiki's...

No need for that, it's better to bring the old topic so we don't create another one.

So yeah, I just tested the new Shiki, and I can say that few things have changed for the old one.

What I can notice is this:

- Some CLSN have been nerfed, fortunately. Others are worse. Just look at 4+c, the range of the knife (goes behind the character) is insane. In source it wasn't that big.

- Now it's easier not to use the "hold c" normal attack. Before you always ended up using it.

- It needs damage dampner, it does way too much damage.

So for now, this Shiki is probably the second best one you can find. M3 is custom gameplay, but the best IMO. The one from 9's website is really bad, so for now this one is the best with MB gameplay.

Okay, what I can tell is:

- Lacks damage dampner. And she seriously needs it.

- Now it's no longer possible to do "hold c" attack instead of the normal version unless you're aiming for that on purpose.

- Still with the Guard Crush. It drains too fast, and unfortunately, the idea of Guard Crush in MUGEN is not a good idea IMO, since there's a lot of characters that can do a lot of hits of little damage that can make her Guard Crush instantly.

- Her comboability is more strict. In the past, it was really easy to pull out any combo, but now you have to press it early or else you will get an "Invalid". This is a good change IMO.

- Again, her commands are the same as before, a complete mess. "a" is x, "b" is a and "c" is y. You will have to touch the cmd if you want a good setting.

- She does too much damage in some attacks. Her AAD didn't do that much. Also 41, remove the damn 1-Hit KO in the LA. Even if the game had it because of a programming error, that doesn't mean you have to replicate it, for God's sake.

- And unfortunately, he still hasn't renamed some of his files to English. If you don't set your Unicode to Japanese, you won't be able to play with this character, since the name of the files will turn into something unreadable.

Best Shiki Ryougi with MB gameplay out there. Not the best in general though, M3 still surpasses him (though he used a custom gameplay that doesn't focus on long combos).

Nyal was updated too. Now there are two versions of her. One is the normal one and the second uses that JoJo super that makes your partner appear and do attacks depending on the input you added while in the superpause. You have to charge it (there's a special bar that indicates if it' ready or not) before being able to use it. Each attack of the coffin causes debug problems. At least it's better than the other nyal, which has infinite debug problems, and this one even has voice actor. Stick with the second one (the one that has japanese letters next to nyal).

Also, don't grab the voice patch for the first nyal. It's outdated, and it makes some problems appear, like the grab missing completely after grabbing.

He added a damage dampner! Yeah!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the other things I mentioned are still there, but fortunately she now does normal damage with her combos,, which is appreciated. Doing nearly 500 damage with a simple combo was not a good thing.
