Well, from what I've downloaded from you, you always have good characters, although I don't know who any of them are. Currently currious what's with the schoolboy with the knife that's not even a switchblade, yet he folds it away anyways.....but that's not important. Not until he sits, anyways.I gave a quick Arcade run with him. Admittingly, not knowing how he's supposted to play, I'm just going with if how he plays now is solid or not, so I'm not the best to be giving feedback.....but he seems pretty well made. A boy Chun-Li, of sorts.Surprisingly great A.I.. The rest of your characters, while beatable, put up a good fight. Shiki here keeps killing me.....hell, in Watch mode, he beat BeterHans's Chun-Li, and I've never seen a non-cheap character beat her 1 on 1....So, other than kicking my butt.....or stabbing my face, in his case, I like this character. This is what I hope my characters will turn out like after some practice making them.
Feedback:- Err... what are those hitboxes for the second backdash? The first one makes sense, but the second... I mean, I don't understand why his feet and head are hittable yet the rest aren't.- "z" fully charged does 200 damage. Even if it's a charged attack, that's way too much for a normal attack.- A combo of "F+c,c" does 182 damage. Too much.- Combo of aerial fully charged "c" attack plus ground "c" attack does 201.- 120 for the "D,F,x" special seems too much for me. The "y" version does less damage, though it still does 119. The "z" version does 134. That's more than what you usually do for your specials.- 182 damage with "DPM,k" + follow-up. Too much.- 194 near the corner the "PPP" attack.- Combo of fully charged "QCB+x", then PPP without stop near the corner does like 280 damage.Wow, you made him do a lot of damage with really simple moves. What happened there?

The character feels okay. I saw no problems with it, though I will have to get used to the fact that the backdash now doesn't make me full invincible Anyway, it's just that it's not really that hard to create combos with him (he's easier than Roa, for example), so I found his damage output a little high. He also has an aerial special, a low special, a quick dash special, dragon punch and even one that covers a lot (the "PPP"). In terms of moveset, he's excellent. More damage is not needed IMO.But hey, don't ask me only. Ask other people too. It's better if more people says what they think about the character.

ok now is better with the fix of thousand slash but here comes another question for back fist and it is that i can't link it because he grabs!!! can't you use anathor button as z+c or similar for the grab?? because if you do that you can use this move as launcher as well...

I just wish you did this for the rest of the MB cast.Anyway I have 2 questions:- The recovery time for Mole Sting's launcher seems too long. Was it like that in source? I know he has jump cancelling available for a follow-up, but maybe you could make it a bit faster as to leave another offense option instead of jump cancelling and air juggle. I tested with Stupa's Training KFM to see if you could recover after the launcher but it seems not. I mean sometimes they are quite high in the source game but in Melty Blood the characters also have a fluctuating defense value depending of their life :/ I cant avoid to think that the damage values are designed to deal with the changing defense value system from the game...

I changed the size of those explod using scale and used it universally, but they don't look that big in my mugen 1.0. I updated Shiki. What's been done:- Can now recover after hitting the wall.- Can now recover after b -> charged b follow up and after Mole Sting's extra attack. It's still possible to juggle, one just has to act fast against an opponent who can recover.- Reduced damage significantly overall. Super damage remains the same, but the dampener should kick in appropriately for the different levels of them.- Limited Juggle on Death Perception. Can only hit falling opponent if they haven't been juggle for more than one hit after falling. - Death Perception also has a stricter damage dampener.- Normalized the scale of those slam effects.- Adjusted the Artificial Intelligence to be a little smarter.- Inverse Heel shouldn't miss any hit after the initial hit connects.The next update will be a cool special intro against Kohaku's Shiki Nanaya, something with slow motion and stuff. Unfortunately, since Kohaku is a lazy poop face, I have to code both of the characters (which is how it should be anyway). Thank you all for your feedback and comments.Download

Is he in sff2? Bacause i cannot open the file, it get 0/0 sprites. But if sff2 was the case shouldn't there be png files and some index instead of sff?
It's sffv2. There doesn't need to be any image files, that's only during the process of which one compiles the .sffv2, once it's made, the image files can be deleted, as can the palettes. KFM's files are just for testing. I have FF3, which is why sffv2 is not a huge problem for me. I was going to use it when it first came out, but I find the way Elecbyte provided to be tedious when it comes to wanting to edit the character again.Why do you want to open the .sff file?

I'm sorry, there's absolutely nothing I can do about that now. Even if I saved it as sffv1, the older version of FF would still be unable to open the .sff file. You could wait for FF3 to come out, or learn how to do the Elecbyte way using the provided tools. It's not really hard, do a search at the Elecbyte website. I remember it being explained by various people, including myself. You'll learn something new, so why not?
Found a weird glitch when the AI ws fighting with PoTS Shin Gouki, though it's probably Shin Goukis problem. Shin Gouki made a infinite Light Kick, Forwarf+Med Kick combo on Shiki and Shiki was blocking it until the time ran out.

I finally decided to code the special intro. Here is the patch for Kohaku's Nanaya. Nanaya's patch is for the 1.0 version, of course. There's no patch for Tohno because I updated other stuff, so you need to download the full version one more time. She burns things while not really burning things, and the grab super is medium pimping. And big-ass yakuza kick.
so she doesn't burn things. I knew she sucked I knew it. Also need I bring up Nanaya walking over her in Tsukihime without trying lol.
She can sap life force by touch, and the transfer process generates enough heat to spontaneously combust. Whether you call that burning things or not is up to you.And that's Nanaya, dude, he walks over everyone.

On a more serious note, his supers aren't merely just powered up specials. They have different properties, more advantages hitboxes, start up time, invincibility. A super isn't just how cool the move looks, silly Kohaku. And I added two essentially custom supers. Finish V Akiha, you lazy poop face!

Hey nice work as always I also totally didn't saw this coming.I just wanted to know if you'll update some of your other characters that have some special actions with Tohno in Melty Blood, for example:- Arcurid's Last Arc (True Ancestor's Power) does 18 hits when used against either Tohno or Nanaya.- Satsuki's Arc Drive (Lvl. 3 version of EX bite) does much more hits on Tohno and in the end she screams "Liar!" instead of "Idiot!" (the way she cries is also different)- When Mech-HISUI loses to Tohno she goes: "Shiki-sama... Shiki-sama...".Just a couple of things, don't know if you'll implement them but it would be nice. Difference is that he knows Kohaku, that he can discuss with him, and that it makes sense to have compatibility between both characters since they share similar gameplay and all.When Jmorphman released Ken, I'm sure you noticed he released a patch for POTS' Ryu, not Warusaki3's, Chotto-Komaru's, Roken's, Rikard's and Sumi's Ryus.

That's how I feel when I go into Nero's sprites set, as well as Ryougi. Let's not forget my laziness. Nero's stuff will require the Pythagorean Theorem and possibly other forms of trigonometry, which is the fun part, but his sprite set is just... I'm lazy.

All I know is of updates to current code, in of which Powered Ciel and Arche-Type Earth are fully playable characters with unique sprite sets. That's for the arcades, though. No ports yet.
Link for Kohaku latest 1.0 character and please explain how to install the patch. Reason every time I install the patch to Nanaya for 1.0 by kohaku. It tells me character is to old for this version of mugen. maybe I over looked something, oh well.

It's called a patch. You place if over the existing files, doesn't need a description. If it's not working when you replace Nanaya's files, then you don't have the version of Shiki that has the intro. It's not rocket science.
Finally was able to get it working and wow! this is a epic intro. Looking forward to your rogue and many other great creations.
This is great, but there's something you should know about fall recovery times. They count down during hitpauses, so if an attack has a hitpause of 12 and a fall.recovertime value of 30, it's only untechable for 18 frames of actual moving gameplay. Sound familiar? It should, because you gave those two properties to your fwd+HP move, yet the move takes 24 frames to recover, and it's not cancelable OR jump-cancelable, so it technically has frame disadvantage on hit. Why isn't it jump-cancelable anyway? It really looks like it should be, if you're going to give your character other jump cancels. You said yourself (so I assume you would know) that it's jump cancelable in source, and from the looks of it, it's probably even high jump-cancelable. If you really don't want the move to be jump-cancelable, then fix the recovery time.Other than that, pretty nice.
I'd love to use this char but I cant seem to see any sprites when i open the sff so i cant adjust the portrait to my screen pack

Well I tried it with both old and new versions with the same timing and it just doesn't cancel the same way anymore.

This just seems shoed in to make the move harder to block than it should be.Well, actually, in Melty Blood, overheads aren't just moves that come from above the head and all jumping attacks aren't overheads (not even all the airborne basics), so you don't really have a point there. Using power or charging moves in Melty Blood can be the difference between an overhead move and a non-overhead move, even for simple basics. Here, Roa's spending power; he hits high, he hits low. Alternate your guard and don't sit there like a rock and you'll be able to block the move. It IS like that to make the move harder to block. I want it to be like that.
