SUP.

I just received my pair of brand new "7meilenstiefel" (direct translation seven-league boots). ^_^

If you ever heard of powerskips, powerisers, powerbocks, or jumping stilts, those are basically the same.

In action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1O1YaD-Gpw

Now I probably won't be doing flips like that anytime soon, but I expect this to be a somewhat fun activity.

Gonna check them out now, I'll tell you about my faceplant-per-minute rate later on :grin3:

No store/purchase link? :(

This all reminds me of Moon Shoes, except Moon Shoes are crap outside of the Arthur cartoons.

Haha, I went to a friends' to try them out, that's why I wasn't online earlier.

It took me around 5 minutes to walk by myself, another 15 and I could run some steps. But even walking still looks (and feels) rather insecure, and it is more exhausting than regular walking (duh).

BUT, it's really fun, and everyone stops to look at you at least for some seconds. Pretty great feeling :D

I fell once, but since I was only walking it wasn't very serious. However it is difficult to stand up without support, I couldn't figure out how to sit down to a regular height, and standing still on one spot is not like regular "standing" at all, more like on a bike. Since the surface you stand on is round, you have to compensate continuously which makes you unstable...

Of course. Why buy something to help you flip? You can easily learn how to do it with your own attributes.

Except you can't jump over cars and run twice as fast as normal :P

But it will be some weeks until I can do that :sweatdrop:

there will be media - as soon as those boots, a certain friend of mine, and my humble self are all in one place.

In perspective of my skills, I really am quite humble.

375€, and I still need some protective gear and I gotta do some modifications (click, click) before I can use them without constant fear of wearing them out fast or having little grip :P
