There is a little update of the char, i didnt have much free time, then there is just a few changes  :(

June 4.2010
  • Fixed Deep freeze fatality bug
  • Added ingame movelist
  • Changed pallete system to have 2 colors by char
  • Other little issues fixed

Here is a char in which I work without calling, it is Soul Ninja UMK3, he have all the UMK3 and MKT Ninjas

Scorpion
Human Smoke
Classic Subzero
Ermac
Reptile
Noob Saibot
Rain


i also updated my other chars to mugen 1.0, also adding some new stuffs like fixes for the pit 2 fatalitys of compatibilities for shang tsung

I have one question though...what scale values do you recommend we apply to the cns so that they can appear in compatible size with the rest of the mugen character universe?

No...He just released Soul Ninja UMK3 as a NEW character compatible with Mugen 1.0. --;

i usually use the scale 0.87 in x and y

Can you update the version of the stages on your site? In 1.0 mugen, when I do a stage fatality, it only shows spikes like kombat tomb.
Can you fix the issue?

i already uploaded the stages to mugen 1.0 too
check in my page, the stage section, there is mugen 1.0 versions of the stages

now i moved to mugen 1.0, then i not expect to launch more updates of my chars to winmugen

hmm might be time for me to go to 1.0 Mugen although I hope it will be easy to convert the rest of my mugen roster to 1.0

you not need to convert  :S you can use all your old stuffs
try download the mugen 1.0 RC6, and do a backup of the new mugen.cfg, then erase the folders data, chars and stages, the take yours (that folders in your winmugen) and move, then overwrite the mugen.cfg from the RC6 that you copied, then your data folder will chagne just in the mugen.cfg file

there is a bug. when i use subzero's deep freeze on the non fatality compatibility char, it went invisible!

EDIT: i found the error, sorry, you can wait to the update (not soon) or change by yourself, to do it you need to:

  • Open the shaddap.cns
  • Go to the state 60731

    then find this state controller (is easy because is a short state)

    [mcode][State ]
    type = Helper
    triggerall = !numhelper(60733)
    trigger1 = animelemtime(4) = 10
    helpertype = Normal
    ID = 60733
    name = "eternal ice"
    postype = p2
    stateno = 60733
    ownpal = 1[/mcode]

    then just change the 4 in the trigger1 to a 3, then it must be like this

    [mcode]trigger1 = animelemtime(3) = 10 [/mcode]

thats because i commit a error in the DEF, i forgot to change the mugenversion = 1.0 in all the DEf files oops again

you can fix it opening the DEF files and changing that line, all must be mugenversion = 1.0
, i think actually say 2002, blablalbalb, change to 1.0  :)

a bit of a glitch with soul ninja umk3 (unless its the stage itself) when I did the stage fatality for the pit 1 the stage doesn't scroll down all the way

Edit: I think it might have to do with my Mugen scrolling since I got the same glitch with female ninja and with some other stage fatalities. I did get the 1.0 versions of your stages

Edit: I found a good resolution but ran into another bug, most of the stage fatalities are either ignored or they do the spike fatality (which is the kombat tomb style fatality for most other mugen stages) Also I noticed the finish him music for each of your stages doesn't play with any of the chars (all ninjas and shang tsung)

use the res 640x480, because if you use other then the game localcord change and the stageID system no longer works (it returns wrong values)

mmmm try to use your old winmugen screenpack too, but check in the mugen.cfg, the line

motif = data/mugen1/system.def

erase the mugen1 and leave the system.def, then

motif = data/system.def

EDIT: yes i found the error, the mugen 1.0 default screenpack uses localcoord = 1280,720, then that affect the camera move in the stage fatality, you need to use a localcord = 320,240 but if yu do that in the mugen 1.0 default screenpack, that will affect the whole screenpack

then you should use a low res screenpack, i think with the change of the line that i say before (motif) if should be solved, try and tell me what happen



EDIT2: no wait thats not the problem, the problem is in the stages themselves, im fixing, im gonna reupload the stages when i finisg, sorry


EDIT3: i fixed, im uploading in this moment, it will finish in some minutes

sorry for the double post but I just caught this



seems we got a size glitch with Shang Tsung, most notibly with the other MK2 chars other than Shang himself

Can you add a gauge charge for shang tsung and soul ninja umk3? and also some basic hypers for cyborg and female ninja?

cool, although I haven't figured out how to use Khameleon mode yet ( I know how to do it with Soul ninja though for Chameleon mode)

in female ninja and cyborg ninja is the same,


for soul ninja umk3 is the same method from MKT but only with B and block because i cant use all the buttons from the original code (i think it was 5 buttons) because my keyboard makes Beep!   :P

in the 1.0 version of soul ninja umk3 he change palletes just like in MKT, but the gameplay is different
in my other chars the chameleon mode you can use all the attacks everytime, but in soul ninja umk3 you can use only the attacks from the actual pallete


pd: shang tsung havent a special mode like them

ahhh no, i didnt say that is the same code as soul ninja, cyborg ninja and female ninja use the same code, but they use one different from soul ninja

ah okay, I'll try as many combinations as possible. I did think about the codes to play as Shao Kahn and Motaro from the n64 version of MK Trilogy but niether worked

here's an idea for a Jade super, she can throw several razor-rangs at the opponent low medium and high ranges

trying to gather ideas for some supers for the cybers, one comes to mind for Sektor would be a flurry of homing missiles fired at the enemy

I found that the fatality inputs...well, as much as I try doing them, don't work. :/

The friendships of scorpion and Sub-Zero still need the jack in the box pop ups.

Also...define punch distance and past sweep as they don't seem to work that well either.

ahh tahts because in the other DEF files i forgot to change the mugenversion to 1.0, then it must say

mugenversion = 1.0

1) shang and all his morphs are al the same, liu kang, kung lao, etc... are all the same char, then the Separate DEFs are only permanent morphs

but, when shang enter into a custom state (states from other chars) then i cant control the anims that he uses, then i made him unmorph in that moments
i only adapted my own chars to that changes, i cant control the effect with other authors chars, because he still use the same SFF

2) mm... strange... thats not supposed to happen

Check the seperate DEF files. It has the localcoord. It's 395, 254. Delete it from the DEF file and it will turn the portraits normal.

1) not only in fatalities, is in every custom state (sp attack or trows), then to fix it i need to copy all the SFF, one for each morph, and swap all the basic get hit sprites for every morph, and i dont have the time and patience to do that

Your soulninjaUMK3.def does not have a palette system for example, holding start and press B changes the human smoke UMK3 palette.

Animus has a sprite missing and Bender doesn't have a suicide booth.

thats caused for the zoffset change that i use for the StageID system, the chars need bindtime in his explods for the first 4 ticks, im not sure yet about how to solve it

What I mean is, I can't control the characters myself because the computer automaticly takes control.

Soul Ninja UMK3 and Shang Tsung work fine though.

You mean you can't control them in watch mode? Like pressing Ctrl+3? I found a way to fix it.
Toggle the AI by pressing Ctrl+3 then reset during the match.

Why is Shao Kahn sitting on the waterfront? ??? This only occurs when playing the intros of Kohaku's, Tenshi and Utsuho and only occurs on Shang Tsung and seperate DEFS.

Can you fix them?

well using Shang against Warner's Vampire Mr.Burns I don't get a Finish Him message at all, the match ends without a chance to do a Fatality

Same with Big Chicken as well, I'll try out some of Warner's other chars I got and see if they work with Shang or not

Edit: I tested out Warner's Characters so far of them the glitch only happens with Vampire Mr.Burns

they dont have ingame movelist, i havent created for shang, i created one for soul ninja umk3 but i havent updated the char with it yet, i havent fixed much stuffs in soul ninja because i dont have time, some minor fixes and the new movelist, i will update it soon, but remember that there is a little bit changes  :'(

-First corner the opponent to the wall, then do this close to the opponent for a dial-up: HK, Down HP, HK, and back HK, then do a spear: repeat this process five times and that is almost an infinite Classic Smoke UMK3 to perform this and also why does Classic Smoke UMK3 doesn't do an uppercut combo like HK, Down+HP, and Up-LP?

-The command for ground slide for Reptile and Sub-Zero in the readme is all wrong. It's Back+LK+HK.
It's not a problem for the command. It's good.

EDIT: Soul Ninja UMK3 wasn't updated. It didn't have an ingame movelist. And also soulninjaUMK3 should have a palette system like I chosed
Scorpion with a different palette by holding start and press A.

EDIT: I was trying to do a dial-up combo on the captured opponent. The opponent was perfectly on the ground,
and when I captured him with a cybernetic net, I can't do a dial-up because the opponent is in air.

There's a glitch I found in UMK3 Scorpion's lair. It happened to 1.0 and I use your 1.0 stages.

The projectile stops because your stage does not have enough left scrolling.
It happened in 1.0 RC8.

EDIT: More feedback! For Soul Ninja MK2 Noob Saibot:
-The Nube (D, F+LK) is unblockable and disappears when performing a dial-up

But I gotta say, it's quite a good MK2 character you made!  :sugoi:

Also Soul Ninja MK2 super D, F, D, F+HK doesn't seem to connect a combo.
