Finally finished with Donatello.

-4 Specials
-2 Ground Supers, 1 Air Super
-3 Super cancels should be possible
-the Body Slam throw now has a small mash feature, press punch buttons rapidly and he'll deliver the 2 successive blows more quickly and they'll deal more damage than not mashing. (I'm just testing this out in Donatello, if you guys prefer it I'll add it in the other turtles as well)

Whenever I try to download Donatello I get message saying "HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found", is anyone else getting this message or is Sendspace just being Nazi on me?

I was able to download Raph and Mike without problems.

yay!  it seems like ive been waiting forever. if i may ask what took you so long to complete don? but nonetheless hes done with so....on to the final turtle! leonardo. cant imagine the fighting style youll produce for him. keep up the awesome work!!

I got stuck with developing his supers and was at a loss as to how to complete him. Around the same time I was focusing on painting and some art shows as well as school so MUGEN was pushed to the backburner while I took care of the really important stuff. I've found moments of down-time to finally finish him though and thought I'd release what I had as soon as possible.


I'm glad you guys like the character and hope you also enjoy Raphael and Michelangelo. Any feedback or concerns with the characters is always welcome

I too am a fan of your works, Dcat...though after you finish Leo, do you think you could do some more Rangers? I really really like your Black Ranger you made awhile back, and I would love to see what you could do with the original Green Ranger and maybe Red or even Pink (I'm a fan of bows and I feel there just aren't enough characters in the gaming world that use them...especially in fighting games  >:() Also, I would like to make a small request if I may; I have a sprite sheet for a game that came out in Japan years ago but never came out in the US for the SNES (SuperFamicon)...I forget the name of game but it was essentially a Turbo Ranger game. Think if I gave you the sprite sheet you could do something with it and make a character or 2? Sorry if I'm not supposed to request like this, but I just thought it would be a good suggestion since he did such an awesome job on the Black Ranger.

Yeah, he should make the bad guys! No one has made Shredder, Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady. Dcat'd make them great.

Very, very good character. I always get excited when you release or update your TMNT characters. They are just so well made and fun to use. Donatello is my favorite of the four, so this makes me especially happy. However, I have two suggestions:

1. I think he really needs a standing special that hits standing opponents. I understand you're working with a limited sprite set, but of his 3 specials, one is a standing move that will only connect on aerial opponents, and the other 2 are mid-air moves that have practically the same trajectory and speed. I think this leaves his ground game a bit weak.

2. I would also suggest that his EX Alley Oop connect on standing opponents if close enough. Alex's EX Knee Smash in SF3:TS had this mechanic, and gave a little bit of extra functionality to the EX version other than it just being a faster, more powerful version of the move.

These are of course just suggestions and are in no way character breaking. Keep up the good work. I can't wait for Leo just so I can have some fun 4 vs. 4 team battles playing as all four turtles.
Son, the last thing you'll realize you need is what you've already got.

Very good point SeanAltly. Just noticed that trying to connect a super following alley oop is impossible due to the nature of the move. I'm thinking of making the QCF+Punch super behave different depending on distance the player is from the opponent. The longer your range from a target, you'll instantly go into the current knockout roll super. Closer opponents will be hit by another super combo (maybe a standing flurry that ends with staff spin or some kind of launcher that puts Donny in the air for a super cancel).

Your second point makes perfect sense as well, there's no incentive to use fierce Alley Oop when it's guaranteed to whiff on standing opponents, fixing now. Thanks for the feedback SeanAltly!


And for those other users who replied, there's no need to request for Leonardo. Its pretty clear he'll be the next release.

I found a bug in Don
If you're moving away from the opponent and use any of the punch buttons nothing happens
Also if your crouching and pressing back you can't attack with punches
But that's all I found
All-in-all he's a pretty fun character

If you're moving away from the opponent and use any of the punch buttons nothing happens
Also if your crouching and pressing back you can't attack with punches
But that's all I found
All-in-all he's a pretty fun character

Okay, thanks for the extensive testing Roks. It seems i was a little too restrictive with the conditions for standing attacks in the command file. All fixed in the next update of Donatello.

Thanks but the sprites don't fit with the Konami Arcade style I'm going for with these Ninja Turtle characters. I'm also not going to touch something with has a past tarnished with stolen/uncredited content from another creator. Thanks but no thanks, I'll do fine crafting Shredder from scratch .

hey dcat, if you want to add more attacks to donny, maybe you should get some ideas from looking at other bo-weilding chars like Mortal Kombat's Jade, MVC's Gambit and (especially) KOF's Billy Kane
