I think it would be easier to upload pictures here at the Guild instead of having to go to ImageShack/Photobucket to upload them. Just an idea I had.

It was just a suggestion. 4chan does, why not us? Then again, 4chan is in debt too.

4chan also is a fast moving imageboard, and the pictures get deleted over time.

Is it so hard to type imageshack.us and upload your picture? It only takes a couple of seconds.

And imageshack is fucking sluggish at least for me, 2kb/s is just so yesteryear --;

it's not about where I upload stuff (I have my own server, mind you :P), but where other people do which I can then see.

I must have misunderstood you. But I don't think downloading images from Imageshack is that slow either.

My point was to try downloading from imagehost and see how well it rates for you =p

Well, pics are mostly needed for the news and uploading them to photobucket and imageshack seems fine enough.

Even if they would expire for some reason, most of the pics end up at the MI database anyway...

Until that database gets wiped every 2 months.

Well, the bloggerized one doesn't need to go down even if the forum does, or so it seems...

And the pics end up in other databases too anyway. Point is it's ok this way...

I don't see why people don't register at reputable image hosting sites - it's not THAT inconvenient, is it?

*Vegeta 20XX uses PicturePush, for example.
