Ok, I've done a LOT of sprite editing with people in the past. Whether its just manipulating sprite movement, creating backgrounds, energy blasts and ripping sprites from almost ANY game. Now I've tried to learn for myself how to program these sprites and whatsuch. So I'm looking to help someone, anyone. If you need sprites, ideas, general help, I'd like to do that. Here's some of my edits from a while back. Granted, I have gotten much better since these were done, but I don't have anything to show for it. lol. Also, as you can see most of these are Mortal Kombat edits because I was working with the MKP Team for a short while.









I've also got some other creations but they are very large so if you like what you see
and would like to see more, I'll post a link to my Photobucket so you can see for yourselves.

hey uhhh actually yes i kind a need your help cuz i am gonna try to make my own mortal kombat mugen and since u said u are good at sprite edits that caught me so uhhh tell me wat u can do

Pretty much any of the above sprites. As well as manipulating sprites. So new poses for Chars, New Moves, all that good stuff. I am currently with a team and their Lead Developer so I might not have much free time. But I'll help with what I can.  :sugoi:

Thanx i know u r currently with a team and u r their Lead Developer and stuff .  i have sent a message to RatonMalo and Interloko which are two dudes who are workin on mortal kombat project but RatonMalo has not replied and Interloko iam still waiting for his reply but wat iam basicly trying to say is can u help me doing the sprite edits? like Uhhhh don't do it 4 me unless i need help big time but tell me what programs i need, how i do it, ect.

Yeah I could possibly do that. Like the way I edit sprites is just rip them from a game and use Photoshop. Its not hard, just time consuming. But, I can help ya with some stuff when I get time.

thanxsss man, ;D SOOOOO UHHHHHHH --; where do i get photo shop and how do i rip sprites? and if i use those programs will the sprite edits it still be compatible with the mortal kombat project?

Well you have to Buy Photoshop. And it usually runs about $50. To Rip sprites I use a Video Game Emulator and a program called Animget. I'm not sure where to get AnimGet but what it does is take a screen shot of every frame while you have the game on. Its kinda hard to describe. lol. But once you do that, you've got to edit out the Background in picture in Photoshop and save the picture as a PCX file. That is as far as I know. I'm sure there are plenty other programs you can use but those are the only two I use. Also, if you are looking for Mortal Kombat sprites you can just go to MortalKombatWarehouse.com. They have a LOT of sprites there.

there are a few posts on both sprite editing programs (gfx arts section) and tips of ripping sprites (tips and tutorials and development help).

thanxss can u tell me where i could find those posts and uhhhhhhhhhh when i edit them can i still use them as sprites 4 my characters and will they be compatible with mortal kombat project 4.1?

i know that website but how can i use thoese sprites? and uh is there any other program that u know i can use to rip sprites and edit them simalar to photo shop?

I honestly don't know the first thing to programming sprites or anything for MUGEN. All I know is how to take sprites and send it to people who then program them. =/

UHHHH iam having a difficult time right now because i can't do anything   
for my mugen project because interloko and the other guy are not responding.  so if they do not answer then my project will have to be cancled :'( but the fact that u are offering has helped me but i was hopin to make it easier on u so u can just tell me wat i need and wat i need to do then i could it myself but that is becoming a real bitch. sooooooo if it is not too much to ask 4 can u rip and edit the characters from mortal kombat trilogy?

yeah iam aware of that.   That is why i asked him if he could just tell me wat i need so i can do it myself but iam having a problem getting that stuff

get the gimp. it is free; though for sprite editing gfx gale + inrfan view should be enough.

I can edit pretty much any type of sprite ya can think of. I've only been asked to work on MK sprites so thats all my work is as of right now. =/

As for ripping from MKT, It'd just be easier to go to Mortalkombatwarehouse.com They have like a full set of sprites for almost everyone.

thanx and u please send me links to the sites where i can download those progras? ohh and the website www.mortalkombatwarehouse.com is cool because they have all those sprites and stuff but it is no new thing 4 me cuz that is where i download fatalitys 4 my music videos on youtube but how do i use the sprites from that site because when i save them to my computer they are saved as picture files which means i can not use them to make my character.

i have not responded here in a while uhhhh can u help me with Mk2 Reptile because all i have is microsoft paint and there is no way microsoft paint  to edit him because it would be hard as hell.  soo can u make mk2 reptile loojk more like from reptile from armageddon?
