and I got a Sega Saturn, with a nasty bug that does not allow you to save games on the internal memory.

I used to have a original Game boy (only 2 cartridges: Operation C and a 43 games-in-1).

yep. i was the SEGA fan back in the day (even tough i consider the Xboxes (specially the 360) SEGA's consolse spiritual successors, so you might say i'm back to my roots).

have you tried switching out the battery?  (I know, stupid question, but hey, you never know)  Either way, consider getting an action replay for the saturn, you can play imports, save data and its also a 4mb ram cart.  No hassle what so ever.  But whatever you do, DO NOT TRY TO USE CHEATS.  I did that and it fucked my action replay up.

They were not shitty they where fucking awesome.

First was me kicking donkey Kongs ass on the Atari. Do you have any Idea how cool this was when it came out.

Then it was pitfall on the 2600. Not much better but the graphic at the time were like nothing anyone had seen.

Then on coleco is was the first arcade games like centipede. Think about that the first arcade games being played in your home. This was big.

Then Mario bros on the NES. This is when kids stop playing outside.

Then Street fighter on The SNES. I literally got my first boner to chun-li.

Sonic on the Genesis. Fun and better graphics.

I remember having a Genesis when I was little, but found out it was my older sister's. No idea what happened to that. Used to have a Playstation and an N64. Donated the 64 to charity and I'm pretty sure my Playstation is in storage or with my mom in Georgia. Had a GBC for a good amount of time, and then a GBA for a few years, no idea what happened to those.

Other than that, now I only have:

Gamecube (left it in New York/gave to my 4 year old nephew, but it's technically still mine)
Wii
DS (I CAN'T FIND THE DAMN THING ... maybe it's at my aunt's house)

Not true, I am quite social.  I've been in many bands and I am well known in my area.  I can talk up a storm if you ever met me in person.  I just happen to be a collector (more classic than anything) and I love what I do.

some ps3 games require some installation of the games content onto the HDD for quicker load times and for a much better online experience.

example: GTA IV

and more and more PS3 games are gonna get like that in the future, so if you're a PS3 owner...best upgrade that HDD NAO!

I'm planning to upgrade my HDD too because with time more and more games will be released vía digital distribution. Since you have a limited number of downloads per game, and since they take a ot of time to download, I prefer to have them installed on the hard drive regardless of if Im playing them or not.

The way it sticked out and had that + sign shape (no diagonals) made it great for special motions IMO.  PS d-pad is so uncomfortable (for fighting games) exactly for lacking that first part, it's almost as if it goes inside the controller when you press it.

Honestly, I prefer the Dualshock for fighters, but then again I've been using a Dualshock since I got my PS1.  My main gripe with the DC controller is the lack of a sixth button on the right; having to pull HP with my left trigger really screws with my target combos in Third Strike.  I don't have any issues pulling specials with the Dualshock D-pad, and I have all six attacks off my right hand.

I use the same configuration (Capcom's default for their lastest games, since PSX era ones were like Snes config).

I hate playing Capcom Fighters on PSP because of the missing second shoulder button.

I don't own an HDTV, but I don't mind. I use my PS2 continuously and there are no cables in the world that can fix how horribly hideous a PS2 looks on an HDTV. I'm using gold plated RGB Cables, so there's barely any noticeable image quality loss... the RCA extensions were for my 5.1 Speakers

Besides what's with the whole IT MUST BE FULL 1080 bullshit? what really matters is polygon count and textures, no slowdowns and other features like fully operational online gameplay. I'd rather have an antialiased image in my TV than watch the horrible sight of the color loss and pixels SFIII in full HD.

My old Tantus CRT TV had great image quality when playing with component video cables; remember the first time I played Hokuto No Ken using those cables; It was like all this time the image was foggy.

LOL I'm fine with 720p and use 1080p sometimes.
Not using 1080i saves your equipment from using up its resources.

Agreed.  I've noticed that for some reason, certain screens on some PS2 games look HD themselves; like some menus and versus screens in Soul Calibur 3.

I've also noticed that the Wii often looks like absolute shit on HD screens in my experience.

Xbox - Still play it, Because all of the games i like don't work on a Xbox 360.

Xbox 360 - Play it reguraly but, im disappointed with some of the latest games.

N64 (Broken) - Believe it or not but this is my all time favourite console  :sugoi:

PSONE (Broken) - Im not a big fan of PSONE, but they had some awesome games like Tekken 3.

PSP (Broken) - It was great until i broke the screen  :'(

HDMI to VGA?...YUCK!

HDMI to DVI-D is the way to go. Those cables range from $8 to $50...(Price solely depended by the length of the cable)

then get you a 2 piece PC speaker system ($20)

then get a RCA to male 3.5mm adapter ($1 to $10)

then get a 3.5mm female to female adapter (.50 to $5)

and of course an HDCP compatible 22 inch (or whatever size you prefer) PC monitor with a DVI connection. ($150 to $300 + warranty if your smart)


Put it all together then BAM! you got the same HD quality as if you were to play on a HDTV the cheap way on the PS3 in no time. A Helluva lot cheaper than spending $2,000+ on an HDTV thats for damn sure...i don't even wanna know how much the warranty is for those things.

I have this monitor. It's really great, and has a DVI input, so no need for all those cables, but the weak part is the sound... really bad if you ask me.

Warranty on $1600 TV was 10% for four years (mfg warranty was 1 year).  Depends on where you buy it.
