What do you think the most exciting MUGEN creation procedure?

For myself, CNS - coding A.I. is the most exciting part!  I feel high when doing A.I. yo!   :afro: :drummer: :kungfugoi:

It's supper time!

what a pity that this pool will be accessed by people who have never created or attempted to create something.

I like to make palettes for characters, even when I didn't start them :P

I'll be honest, I love creating the readmes. Giving details about the character, what version, changes, listing people who helped...  :S

Anything involving helpers and effects pretty much. If it involves tricky math, I always get aroused when I finish the code.

This. Another reason I'm glad to be in Calculus.

I also like simply thinking of ideas for what I want to do with the characters I make.

I'm mainly a stage maker, so I like sprite ripping the best, although coding is a second (coding stages, that is.  The few attempts I've started at characters remain, at best, KFM spriteswaps.).

The releasing of said creations.

At that point control is no longer in your hands and you cannot predict what will happen next.
The double-curse of Blue Beard Baboon lies in these words you see. Read them once, then read them twice and your island is history.

  • Meh, maybe not.
Sprite editing and animation is what I like cause I'm a visual type of human being, though I do like reading others coding (particular styles that is) and can appreciate the hard work people put in to mugen.

Making FX for my characters. It can be tedious at times, but it feels good to make pretty hi-res effects out of low-res ones  ;P

Voted "coding super moves".
But really, it's more of "coding a full new move" that gets me hype and all. I'm like "Okay, now I'll code this". I grab the sprites, put them in the SFF, align them, define the animation in the AIR file, CLSNs in Fighter factory, define the command and state-1 triggers, and then go on to code the move. And when I launch Mugen, it's always just great to see something new in the character and say "Yeah, the character is now more complete, I can do this combo now, hella fun !!!"

Coding an AI. though I like making graphics I hate making hit-sparks. And dear god making sprites( I love to hate it).

I voted "None of the above". I like to adjust hittimes, pauses and velocities, search for broken tactics and fix them. In other words, to balance the char.

I personally like to mess around with command options to make character control as fluid as possible, and overriding pre-defined states to my liking. I guess that would be a vote in the CMD category.

Too bad that option in the poll got bundled together with AI coding, which I haven't got round to trying yet.

It would have been nice to allow votes in more than one category, bot in this and other other poll - the results might have been more eloquent in the long run.

None of the above really.  To me, the best part about coding is when you see your work come to life in the engine.  There's just this really magical feeling when you see the results of your code on screen.
