Well, I think their news network is kinda overrated, MI and AM's is way faster at least most of the time. (--;  Yeah I know, that only applies when the forums are online) Though in Mugenchina they post more stage news, their forum releases and the 2diyer ones too, which makes a mess when people can't get the files due to the chinese language registrations, point systems, etc.

Not to mention that their registered user only downloads (specially from the opensource area) and encrypted files are not exactly a way to let mugen advance.

However among all the mugen community Mugenchina should have the friendliest forum around, though you could only notice if you manage to pass that chinese wall registration system that is.

I know I'm quoting something above my own post, but this is for emphasis.

They honestly make you have to post to use the higher quality rips of sprites rather then just plainly putting them in a regular hosting site? At the least they aren't cropped sprites, right? I understand wanting credit and to post quality rips for use so people can make quality characters/stages out of them, but making them post a lot just to get them? It sounds awfully counterproductive.

Mugenchina rips usually ARE cropped. The rare exception is CFJ.

well it's where i got my start that for sure other then the Chinese limits and a few thing here and there it's a bit easy to talk to people less drama then other forums but not as much LOLz as other forums  ;D

MugenChina was the first mugen forum i ever became a part of.  There are many things I don't like about the forum, the points system being 1 of them.  As said before too much "Nice char", "good", "great char".  On the other side though they have a great sprite database, good reports of new releases, KOFZ, mugen plug-ins, and ect.  I don't go over there as much ever since they changed around there format but i really like how they tend to create more things from the SNK camp.

Nearly 100% of my site hits from MugenChina come from Japanese IP addresses.

Then again, they might be using proxies.  (Knowing China, that's very probable.)
