hmm, not to be to open-ended, but I'd like to have the MK1/MK2 endings (as many as you feel like making)

no particular order, it would just be nice to have them in Mugen.

and mayby some SF2 intros, although I know there are some already well made ones.

Some posted, more on the way.  I'll be doing 1280x720 and 640x480.  Hoping to have all of the MK1 finished by the end of the week.  MK2 following!   ;D

Hmmm, I just downloaded the Scorpion Low-res ending, and it's in fact, 640x480.  Sub-Zero intro fixed, and new link posted.  Thanks for the feedback.

Edit:  Actually, is 640x480 hi-res?  Hmmm, it's been a very long while since I used the old Mugen. What are the low res sizes?  I'll be sure to do those.

Hey, thanks!  I'm a huge retro fan.  I can't get enough of old SF2, MK, or Fatal Fury.  I'm most likely going to be working on more SF2 items here soon.  Also, I'll make a WinMugen version of the SF2 storyboard.  I like the idea of the ranking screen too, so I may throw that in.  Look for it in the next few days.   :sugoi:

Cool! I can't wait to see winmugen version too.

And if you use an SF2 ranking type screen, I suggest to display only a background (Ryu BG?) and not with a particular character since it cannot be customisable.
Only BG + ranking texts is OK :)

That's a pretty good idea.  Either that, or have the stages alternate along with the character, and just do them all that way.  That would be fun. 

ALSO!!!  Update!!!!

Mugen fans, RETRO FANS!!!  Have I got a surprise for YOU!  Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Children of ALL ages, I proudly present to you, ETERNAL CHAMPIONS BIOS and ENDINGS!!!!  One finished so far, but I plan to continue updating at the speed of about 2 each day.  Looking to finish the MK1 stuff soon, and of course, doing some sweet SFII stuff.  Check back daily.

I'm very happy to see the Win mugen version of the SF2 Continue addon. ;D
But, there is a very important point you have to fix (if you want your work to be more professionnal).
It's about graphics... I don't know if you use a filter or something but it's really really compressed with color loss etc... o_O

I suggest you to rip directly your sprites in size X1 (real size) without any filter.
And add it in your SFF without compressing your pictures. Can you try to update your graphics?

It's too bad because your concept is very GOOD! ;)

Though with different links, Sub Zero Intro MK1 1280x720 is the same file as Sub Zero Intro MK1 640x480.

The same way you edit WinMugen SP's, well kinda?  You have to deal with the sizing and localcoords and stuff, but it's relatively painless.  In fact, if you can edit WinMugen SPs, you should have no problem editing a 1.0 SP. Does that answer your question?

Hi!  Yeah, I actually had it above the border at one time.  It looked at bit cramped so I moved it down into the border.  I'll put it back and post a screen shot, but I really like the character name going through the border, but some people may not.  I'll probably just release 2 versions with a few differences here and there.  Thanks for the feedback!   :sugoi:

Another SOR2 Stage!   :sugoi:

On all of the Streets of Rage Stages. You need to cover up the exposed black areas with an actual horizontally & vertically tiled black .pcx so that you prevent MUGEN from drawing every frame of animation that overlaps into these areas. I've found it happening on each of the Streets of Rage stages you've released where there are black areas. This is an easy fix but a pretty big oversight that cuts down on the enjoyment of the levels otherwise.
I haven't gone through and tested the actual .DEF files, this is just a preliminary visual observatios of how it functions in-game

How do I insert your custom Game Over screen?
Go into your data folder, then open up the system.def file.  Scroll down to: Game ending screen definition, and next to storybord=    , type in the name of the storyboard file.  If you need any further assistance, let me know.

I'd like to thank DCAT for his feedback, and apologize for that slight oversight on my part.  I have repaired the stages so that they can be used in both 1280x720 and 640x480.  Feedback is appreciated, great things cannot be made greater without it.  Enjoy, everyone!

Thanks man!  I actually did quit for a while, but I guess I can't.  It's been like that for the last 8 years, I suppose I'll never grow up.  Speaking of never giving up, I figured out that Rugal problem (after months later...sorry) so, I'll search for it on my external hardrive and post it up for you.     :sugoi:

Check the first post for a special surprise!  A reworking of one of my previous stages that includes 1280x720 and 640x480 resolution support.  NOT ONLY THAT, but I've extended the stage to include the entire area! 

Nameless:  Haha, it is totally addicting.  I'd find myself at the computer thinking, man...I wonder what's going on with MUGEN?  Then it turned into...let's log in to MFG..then it became, Let's read the posts, then, What the heck, I should have never left!  Anyway, give me a few minutes to finish searching my mess and I'll post that up for you!  :sugoi:

you shouldn't extend music! You should loop it and avoid the trouble of doubling the file size of what you upload. it might be a pain to find a good loop point but its gonna save you half the file size you have to upload. :)

Thanks for the info, but I didn't extend it.  It's just  mp3s I found for the stages online.  I'll remember that next time, though.  I forget, it's not a big deal for me to upload or download 4mb, but it is for some people.  I remember about 8 years ago trying to download a 4mb character on a dial up Internet line, it took like 10 minutes!  Woo, now that sucked.  From here on out, my friend, I'll think of you as I'm frantically searching for loop points.  I don't mean that in a bad way :)    :sugoi:

Hey, thanks a lot, I'm very glad that you enjoy them.  SOR2 is probably my all time favorite video game.  I'm going to get around to doing all of the stages (and areas).   :sugoi:

Also, I downloaded (and installed) the new Broken Mugen 1.0, and I gotta say, I'm a HUGE fan.  I had the one released way back when for the longest time, but ended up making my own.  I must say, though, Broken Mugen 1.0 is the only screenpack that I use now.  It's fantastic.  I didn't realize that you had a hand in that until I read your signature.

Hello Zinjonovic. You should consider making a new thread with the repaired links, since you are adding new stuff it would make for a clean thread where you can post everything you have online at the moment instead of fixing older posts.

Man, I freaking love NES!  With all the flashy stuff that can be done with MUGEN now, I hope that it doesn't become forgotten.  Someone released a stage a good while back, a haunted house stage that really looked like it was from the NES era.  I loved it, but can't remember where to find it or who posted it. 

I've got a nice back order of stages I'm working on from one of the greatest gaming periods known to man;The NES Days.  Athena, Castlevania, Trojan, etc.  I'm also planning on finishing up Streets of Rage 2, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, and Double Dragon III in the near future.  I see someone recently released a batch of Super Mario stuff, so I'll let that be.

Just for the record, I'm actually taking retro stage requests, but please, PM me your requests, we don't want to the post the get flooded with off topic stuff.

I'm happy to finally get the ball rolling again, and hopefully I'll have that old stuff back up soon.  I've got to search through (literally, a basket) of old hard drives to find some of that stuff. 

And, as always, I'm looking forward to feedback!   :sugoi:

The highlight, however, is the reworking of the Batman Returns SNES stage one.  I've finally made a floor that is consistant with the source (and not so cut and paste), and fixed some of the code.  If you've ever downloaded it, download it again and delete the old one.

DCat:  It's my favorite from that game, also!  I love the colors and feel of the stage.  For some reason, when I was younger, that game seemed so awesome to me, and looking back on it, it's probably my favorite Power Ranger game.  I loved getting to the point where I was able to play as Tommy.  I'm glad that you enjoy the stage.   :sugoi:

I am releasing a special treat to you all before I go on vacation.  I have converted all stages from Batman Returns (SNES) for MUGEN.  Just check out the first post, then click Batman Returns.

It took a bit of time to upload, and it was a bit messy, so please report any problems you may have downloading these stages so that I can get everything fixed.

I didn't add the duck part, because the stage is too similar to the part right before (but I could add the duck into Stage 7, if you would like), and the very last part where you fight the penguin, I'm working on extending it so that it's not so small.


A little proof just for the moment.  I wanted to get out everything before I went on vacation, unfortunately, this one had to wait for a week.  You will remember the stage being very short in the source.

2-2.2 Isn't very wide for a reason.  It's hard as crap to line up that much craziness, plus, I wanted to add a bit of urgency to the stage.

Stage 7 does unfortunately have a black border.  All of the stages I've extended towards the top had to be done by hand, not stretched.  Unfortunately, it proved to be too difficult of a task for me at the moment, so I decided to leave it as it is.  I think 1280x720 res would fix that until I get back to it.

Updated Batman Returns 4-2.

Fixed the Penguins movement so that he isn't just going back and forth forever in his glitchy pattern.  He now moves more like the source, on and off screen, through the air, etc.

Hey, thanks a lot, I'm very glad that you enjoy them.  SOR2 is probably my all time favorite video game.  I'm going to get around to doing all of the stages (and areas).   :sugoi:

Also, I downloaded (and installed) the new Broken Mugen 1.0, and I gotta say, I'm a HUGE fan.  I had the one released way back when for the longest time, but ended up making my own.  I must say, though, Broken Mugen 1.0 is the only screenpack that I use now.  It's fantastic.  I didn't realize that you had a hand in that until I read your signature.
