They did said that Amiibo data from Smash 4 can be transferred to Ultimate so whatever level your Amiibo's AI is at, it'll carry over. And of course it'll function like in Smash 4.
Amiibos can be used to unlock characters, eh?That's neat, but I think I'll probably just play through that green mode (AKA "Spirits") to unlock them... assuming, of course, that characters can be unlocked in that mode in the first place.
I imagine that (semi-)clones/Echoes would also be unlocked in the traditional fashion of beating Classic Mode with the original character, so beating it with Pikachu would net you Pichu.I mean, I hope that's the case.
Man, I remember the days where I had to unlock Ganondorf by playing Classic as Captain Falcon.I wonder if we'll get any echos/clones where the original character is from a different series again.

Kyo would be a perfect fit, in my opinion. I mean, his rekka could work much like Marth's side B, from the way I see it.Plus, Kyo has yet to make a guest appearance into another game. Even Iori got to do it before he did lol

Smash 4 pretty much defeated the purpose of having secret characters, the criteria were so easy to meet.I could go for some off-the-wall Melee style requirements.
Sorry, but if an SNK character is going to be in Smash, it’s gotta be Terry. There is no question. Terry is the most iconic SNK has to offer. Even if Nakoruru has rivaled or even surpassed him in popularity, there’s still no way Terry wouldn’t make it in. That being said, a SNK character in Smash Bros is very unlikely. I’d say Shantae has a better chance.
Hopefully they'll give us the 2 unlock methods with one obvious method being playing enough Smash Battles while the other being clearing Classic Mode or whatnot. I hope they don't make certain fighters difficult to unlock because not everyone who plays Smash plays it professionally.

returning from super smash bros brawl it's wolf from star fox 64QuoteToday's Fighter#44: WolfThe leader of the Star Wolf mercenary team makes his grand return after 10 years! He puts his sharp claws to good use in wild attacks, and his Final Smash is an all-out attack by Team Star Wolf! If Fox or Falco is in the battle, you may hear a unique line of dialog.also like fox and falco, i'm very glad they change wolf's final smash the entire star wolf is here as a cameo appearancerip landmaster
Now my question is... how angled is the launch from the attack? I noticed Fox and Falco's Final Smash launch angles are different from each other with Falco's being more up-angled than Fox's.

Tomorrow, there will be a new Nintendo Direct! While it's not a Smash one, I think it's safe to assume there'll be some kind of Smash news here.https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/1037339567630639109My short predictions:1 new fighter tacked on at the end.1 or 2 new echo fighters announced alongside the new character. Maybe they'll even take a different route and announce echoes throughout the whole direct?A teaser of what that green mode is?
I... kind of doubt this direct will focus on Smash at all. The only thing I would hope to see is if they announce an actual full-on Smash direct date.
my prediction for tomorrow's direct:some smash bros ultimate newsnewcomer during that sort of newssome echo fighters to be added moremore stages from previous games to be addedthat's it
