The Last Remnant, a great and unique 2008 JRPG game, is being taken off stores in early september
This is one of the rare cases where the PC port was immensely upgraded , not only with better framerate and quality of life improvements, but also with more companions and spells and just general content
If you are able or interested in the game I highly suggest grabbing it on steam before it gets taken down.

I like that approach with some comedy narration for the trailers.
This seems basically identical to Origins (which I finally had enough time off to play this week, many months after buying it) with a few extras here and there, which is good on some points and bad in others. They're remembering to give us more about the background mythology of the series (Medusa as a defense mechanism of the First Civilization, okay, not bad), after they handled it very weirdly in Origins (forgetting it was even a thing for like 9/10th of the game only to bring it back for the final segment out of nowhere, and super detective Bayek never even asking why the guys even came to Siwa in the first place)
Watching this trailer show everyone at level 50 is also making me worried, with how Origins has some annoying powercreep in the story. I just followed the story without doing too many sidequests, and after a while, I always found myself three levels behind in the story sections which apparently was enough to allow every single enemy to one-shot me all the time at the slightest mistake, it's a huge pain. But speaking of combat mechanics, that new Spartan kick, I love it, it's amazing if I can finally make some space by force against a dangerous and super annoying enemy. that'll clear at least a bit of the frustration. Other than that, I'm only noticing the return of the "secondary action" wheels accessed with the trigger buttons that Origins dropped, that's nice too. (and why the hell did Origins drop the various assassination tactics like pulling someone by the ankle while hanging from a ledge to drop them off their wall, this needs to return if you want me to do stealth in any efficient capacity)
The lack of a mini-map in the corner is annoying in Origins (it's a pain to regularly open and close the world map over and again when checking something specific), but the eagle view is nice. So again, both some good and some bad returning for Odyssey.

If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

Oh look, I changed this thing.

So apparently at some point, Blue Mammoth (the team that makes Brawlhalla) got bought out by Ubisoft, they now announced that Rayman will be a new legend in the game.

this makes me happy. it looks well made. it's very rare to see a good 2d metroidvania/side scroller shantae and iconoclast were ok but they lack the difficulty to be replayable like metroid , castlevania and metal slug series.
