Actually, it didn't occur that it looked evil to me until now.  A cat mirror to Houndoom would be awesome if it ended up Dark.

Oh god, please let this game not have Mega Evolutions.

Please, pretty please, with cherry on top.

It's unlikely they'll dump something as major as Mega Evolutions.

I mean yeah, I'd like that too, but it's not happening.

  • For honor!
Only a few of the Mega Evolutions were about as problematic as

Weather
Dragon types
Salamence
Stall
Psychic types and the amazingly poor design of gen1

They'll get fixes to keep them in line to make room for Gen 7's metagame breaking thing.

To be honest, i don't want them to remove Mega Evolution. It's a good way of making certain Pokemon viable again.
But some of them do need a nerf tbh. Mega Kangaskhan is ridiculous and the less said about Mega Rayquaza the better.

Remove them?  I was hoping at least doubling them.  Having them significantly alter the approach the previous Pokémon took makes it an interesting guessing game what the opponent is going to do.  A mythic probably isn't the most fair example, but Diancie jumping from full defense to offense, losing that defense along the way, that's what I want more of.  Also just nice to see older Pokémon get some needed love.  They tried with the likes of Rhyperior, but I prefer them keeping nearer to their initial design.

...Making Mega Salamance look less stupid would be nice as well though.  I got a green and orange kite out of mine.

Surprisingly, I actually like all of those 5 points you brought up, yet I hate Mega Evolutions. Not due to balance (or lack thereof), but because of how not-POKéMON it is.

Regular evolutions are fine. Elemental stone evolutions are fine. Friendship evolutions are fine. Daytime evolutions are fine. Location-based evolutions are fine. Egg hatching is fine. Fossils are fine. Alternate forms are...well, I guess those are fine as well as long as they are limited to legendaries.

But not Mega Evolutions. Those turn the game too much into Digimon, and I hate that.

So CoroCoro leaked and basically it was the same information we got in the trailer.

However,
Serebii.net said:
While not providing any more new news about Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon, it confirmed that next month's issue will have an exclusive scoop on Pokémon Sun & Moon and claims itself to be the Pokémon Main Source for the news.

So we are getting more news next month.
(Also isn't E3 next month as well?)

By now, I've got to admit the starters look kinda cool, but I think I'll have to wait for their final evos to be revealed, 'cause that's mainly what makes me choose my teams. Although I can't say that I like the cover mascots much (Why the lion's face looks "digital"? And what is Moon's legendary supposed to be anyways?), but who knows, maybe they might be good despite the looks.
I'll probably have a hard time choosing a version and getting it, because there's some PS4 games I'm probably going to buy.

I expect the Moon Legendary to weird something equivalent to Soul Edge while having a broken version of Counter/Mirror Coat.  And a helmet.

Lotta hate for that poor little thing.

So yeah, according to a poll on the official Pokémon Twitter account, Rowlet is the favourite starter while poor little Popplio is the least by a sizeable margin; Litten trails slightly behind Rowlet.

But hey, we have memes:

Is it just me, or does the overworld/map look quite small compared to the previous ones?
