New Trailer

Season II starts on Thursday, 26th September, the trailler has some very promising looking scenes. Quite cool that Mark Dacascos is playing Kung Lao

In the debut episode, elements from Tanchaeron's 2010 Mortal Kombat: Rebirth project were revisted. Sonya Blade (Jeri Ryan) has infiltrated the Black Dragon's headquarters where criminal mastermind Kano (Darren Shahlavi) is overseeing production of illegal arms. After she is captured, Jackson "Jax" Briggs (Michael Jai White) and Kurtis Stryker (Tahmoh Penikett) of the Deacon City Police Department raid the warehouse in an attempt to rescue her. An ensuing gunfight takes place followed by hand to hand combat between Jax and Kano. The episode ends in a cliffhanger with a "To be continued..." promise.


The MK Legacy web-series tells the backstories of the MK1-2 characters and how it came they participated in the first 2 MK tournaments we know from the games.

Let me rephrase, what I meant was that that character doesn't remind me of a warrior or a killer like what he was in the game, he reminds me of some sort of troll, or gremlin or something, I know it's a reboot, and things are going to be changed around, I just wasn't expecting him to look so different to the point where I couldn't see any resemblance at all.

Also I'm quite disappointed in first episode. It doesn't have that dark atmosphere of trailer.

The episodes are pretty amazing. Everyone at my college were watching it on the big screen in the break room.

is that Liu Kang?

I remember reading about MKRebirth actors, most of them are/were expert martial artists, like JC, Reptile, Scorpion etc etc
and can't remember where, but I read about Tony Jaa as Liu Kang... that would kick ass if true, if not, well let's see what we can get instead!

I think it's Shang Tshung.

Yeah, better chapter than previous ones, more fightning. Though I liked the way Jax pummeled Kano's face in ep 2.

IMO, kinda boring in the beginning, but the fighting sequence is badass, also you can see Hydro...

kinda... but in the end of the episode it pop up a text about voting for a second season...

also, maybe it's just my imagination, but the old man there seems like Shant Tsung (yeah, I know he already appeared as a young one)

one of the best...

but this one (Cyrax-Sektor) has an epic fight in it

yeah the fight was epic, but the cgi was a bit crappy at some parts.

the only old guys I know about in the show was the Lin Kuei grand master and the Japanese Shogun that Quan Chi killed.

I'll have to rewatch it.
