Going to be switching back and fourth between coding cell, and spriting $%^$# I don't want to reveal who it is now, until I get further, but it's someone who I thought of doing but held off at first, but since have had a change of heart. if all goes well, I'll show progress of them soon.

fuck that, I don't have time like I thought to work that much on one person. working on cell now.

Started coding cell today, he's going to be more combo heavy in the air then vegeta was. he was half done already since I did his specials already.

2-9-13

Finished just about all of Cell's specials, he has 3 counters (one for crouching, one for standing and one for air attacks) 3 versions of geese's jai' ken (short,mid long range) dictator's head stomp and psycho crusher. and 3 versions of a sort of split form attack, one attacks Mid,one low and one for anti air (Which I'll code tomorrow) you can actually chain the low into mid atm.

hopefully I can finish off most of his supers tomorrow. Khh, a split form super combo, big bang attack or something. and His level 3 super which I will be cell jrs. I haven't decided exactly how I'm going to use them. and I still have to sprite them. which isn't a problem. I might just have the opponent fight them entirely. possibly fight about 3 or 4 depending on what I wanna do.

Or just have them all do different attacks. I'm up to suggestions.

If you can make really make 3 or 2 Celljr fights you by its own.
That would make him more entertaining/challenging to face him.

I would suggest:
- Cell fights (normally)
- Cell summons his "sons"
- If they die, you win the round; and you pass to the second round.
On the second round:
- Cell fights
- Cell summons Cell Jrs
- If they die, Cell returns and fights you.

A bit like a boss battle (second round).

That sounds a little too complicated and not very interesting, unless Neocide really wants to go the fullgame route for a single character.

- Anyway, fighting 2/3 Cell Jrs seems interesting. you'll have to code a small AI for them though, otherwise that's a useless Lv3. :P
- Will he get a Makankosapo ?
- Will he get his Psycho/Energy barrier move he used to defend himself against Goku's Ki Barrage (looks like it, the screenshots you posted have the perfect sprite for that ;P).
- Intro vs Satan where he kicks his ass ?

How does that split form attack work exactly ? I don't recall him doing this move.

-he has the ki shield move. (it's in his counters)
-I havent thought of intros yet but sure

the split form he actually did in the anime when fighting goku, but he did four forms and split himself. this one works where he just does a pose and a version of cell comes out of him from either his chest, (dashing punch) his lower body (sliding kick) or more of his upper body (anti air)

Yea I'm def not making cell jr's dictate the outcome  if you win the round. it would be kinda stupid to do that since cell isn't the final boss and that's not even something I wanted to do at all with the move.
not to mention the complication of it.

After talking about it and figuring it out for the most part, I'm going to go a different route with the cell jr's (I basically have to do him as a character himself) it's not beyond me, but its a lot of work for one super. So I'm going to do something else, but should be fun as well.

Check back in a few days to see videos of what I have in store :D

Well I started on the first version.



this is his mid version. gotta add some sound tweaks and him exploding on impact along with body parts flying. same will happen if the cell jr is hit by a move that out prioritizes him. there will be about 6 different versions. the normal RDP commands will have a mid low anti air. and there will be harder commands for double team cell jr's something along the lines of F,HCF.

with some good timing and juggling you should be able to juggle some of the cell jr's

He'll also have a level 3 super version where all 7 come and basically juggle the opponent around for a big combo. ending with 4 of them doing signature moves (Khh,kienzan,makankasappowhatever,finger beam or something)

this will put cell's movelist up to about 10 specials? seems a lot but heh three of them are counters. and he'll have less supers than vegeta.

shit no 11 specials. oh well

I don't understand what is happening in the two screenshots you posted before though. Is it like some kind of aura attack (like Gogeta by DGZ)?

I kinda guessed you were going this route for Cell Jrs (didn't think you'd make them specials too though).
Easier to code and probably more useful in the end. :)
