I'm curious what SSB4 is going to do with the Events mode.
IMO, Brawl's Events mode was lacking.  Most of the events weren't memorable, creative or difficult even on the hardest difficulties.  Most of Melee's events were substantially more difficult with cooler themes and had loads of originality.

I hope they implement more creativity and ideas with this Events mode.

A neat thing they had was even the air dodges are selectable to be more like melee or more like brawl. I don't know if this has come up yet, but what controller do you usually use to play Smash Bros? Personally for me, I've always been best with a gamecube controller, I don't know how well this new Wii U controller would feel with smash bros, so I'm probably just going to end up buying one of those Wii remote adapters for gamecube controllers.

I use the Wii+chuck combo the most, but I've dabbled in playing with a PS2 controller.

I haven't read through the whole thread, but if Ness isn't going to be in...

Then Sakurai doesn't really care about keeping the "Original 12" together. It's been like that since SSB64.
Also, the lack of GameCube controller compatibility with the Wii U makes this a problem. But the Wii U's regular controller shouldn't be too hard to adjust to. If I ever get a Wii U, that is.

But I doubt that SSBWiiU would be compatible with a GameCube controller. Unless it's a hidden surprise, just like custom music in the PS3 version of Batman:Arkham City.

Anyways, in terms of character speculation choices...

I would say someone from killer7, but I don't think that would work out. killer7 needs more love, though. I think Suda51 said he would like for Travis Touchdown to be in Super Smash Bros.

Shinji Ikari: Highly unlikely, but it's just for fun and laughs. His movelist would probably consist of angsting and whining. Final Smash is EVA 01 in Berserk mode.

Anyone from Tales of Graces or the Tales of series: It's Namco Bandai, so it's a given.

Anyone from the Soul seriesAgain, Namco.

Sakurai said not to expect many or possibly any third-party characters aside from Mega Man. I think Snake and Sonic have a decent shot of returning, Sonic moreso, but anyone beyond that seems pretty unlikely at this time. But who knows what the future might bring.

Or the sick stuff anamochi made for his Mugen conversion like having a minigun, eyelasers and poorly done effects on his knife attack while screaming as if he were dying.
