Kinda was expecting Mewtwo because his movie is out later this month and would've been a good promotion, but I'm okay with this. Olimar was going to return anyways.

Ness actually gets a good chance of reappearing, not only because he appeared in every Smash Bros so far. I also heard that Earthbound will appear in the eShop as well, so adding Ness to Smash Bros 4 would be a good way to advertise this.

Pic of the day. Pikmin & Captain Olimar have landed! Congrats on the launch of Pikmin 3 in Japan!
it's nice to see an update that shows a returning character. you can also notice a new pikmin stage in the background of several shots, which is hopefully less gimmicky than brawl's. there's a plug for pikmin 3 in the character's page making the timing for this all the more obvious.

What's so special about Infernape to get him into a game like this?
IIRC, He was only cared for that the fact he was Fire/Fighting.

Forgive me if this topic was brought up already, but since Sakurai said there would be exclusive stages for the Wii U and 3DS, would the same apply to a few characters?

Because Olimar (or the Wii Fit Trainer, for that matter) haven't appeared on any handhelds, so it'd make sense if they were Wii U exclusives...Which is fine-o me if I can't play Olimar on-the-go. Was never found of him in Brawl...

it's already been said several times in this thread (a couple posts ago in fact) that the rosters in both versions will be the same
