Need help making big portraits for mugen battle climax

this screenpack has been around for a while now and i have just now downloaded it. as you can see i made custom select portraits for my characters but not the big portraits since their really complicated for me. I was wondering if anyone can link me a tutorial on how to make portraits for this screenpack.

ps: i dont have photoshop. so if theirs a way to do it in microsoft paint, that would help.

TBH, you REALLY need to have photoshop if you want to get into doing this sort of stuff.
You can do it with other programs but it will be a bit cumbersome and I doubt you will find many tutorials - so yeah, get a photoshop first if you can. ...
