Yo yo, the team wants to make a new Vegeta because you can never have too many clones, right?! Thing is, we don't think it's worth taking time away from spriting new characters to give Vegeta an armor. So we thought we'd give a community project a shot.
The goal is to edit all of Vegeta's sprites to have his Cell saga armor. This new look will be given to normal Vegeta and will also be used for a new SSJ Vegeta. Leaving Majin Vegeta with his current look/costume. SSJ Vegeta will play quite a bit differently and will be given new animations from Balthazar.

There are no deadlines but I will ask for progress from time to time. If you take too long to accomplish things I may find you unreliable. In all honesty, I like Vegeta's Cell Saga look better than his Majin look, so I'm really looking forward to this.

Honestly feel like too many clones is a bad thing. Feels cheap in a game with so much integrity. Would be better as just an alternate costume, similar to Gohan's, IMO.
That said, I'll see if I'm not too rusty to contribute.

We feel if the character is unique enough and has high quality it won't be too big of a deal that he will be a clone. The new Vegeta would play much differently from the current two. And as we said, we're not exactly investing a lot of our own work hours to do this.
This is dragon ball. Different variants of the same characters fit more than anywhere else. With this Vegeta in the works that'll also put us at around 9 chars being worked on. Giving a roster of 20 chars if they all pull through. I don't think it'll hurt the integrity of the game. In fact I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the theme we have in store for the package in general!
We're getting some decent progress in discord. When I wake up I'll have to add more assignments!

Here are some poor quickies from me, but uh was it just me or is there a shared colour between the darkest Torso colour and the second darkest tights colour? Can kinda see it in my last two palettes.

My mistake guys. I made the template and accidentally made the last dot on the arm colors use the same as his legs. No need to adjust anything, but here's an adjusted template for if you decide to make any more. :)
There is a pretty big chance that I'll add more color separation when all the sprites are finished, but I'll be happy to convert all of you guys' (and all of tanktop Vegeta's) palettes when I do that.

Oh snap! A legend! It's not on the level you'd like with SF3 style =p But being a simple edit is really bringing in a good deal of people. Many that had never sprited before. Which was something I was really hoping would happen!

Just wanted to say that this is a very nice idea to implicate the community. This simple project will bring people in (i hope) and motivate them (when they will see that their works brings in such nice results) to continue and contribute further in.
I like this idea very much.
I think i'll take learning coding :)))))) since i'm around coders all the time. (i work in a big corporation OPS team)
