ALRIGHT, LET'S DO THIS.

As MFG palette champion, I of course have SUPERIOR palette creating intellect.  As such, I have created palettes with significant meaning and creative concepts.


In this exhibit, Vice and Mature represent the two polar ideals of the archetypical female.  Vice is the temptress, a risque-dressed woman in seductive clothing.  Meanwhile, Mature is the mother, a modestly-dressed woman in a bridal gown.  Together they make 2/3 of the three faces of Eve, but alas I have no third character to palette, so the symbolism is unfortunately lost.


In this one, the two are clad in exact opposites, the Yin to the other's Yang and vice versa.  This represents the duality they possess, being polar extremities from each other.


This piece expresses the fragility of both womens' minds.  If they were to swap places, would anyone know the difference until it was too late?  Would anyone recognize Mature with her long hair despite being clad in Vice's garments?  Would anyone know Vice to be her true self despite wearing Mature's clothing?


This one just looks cool I'm sorry

Alright everyone, from now on you have to write a two line description of your palettes like MC2 just did.  :twisted:

Together they make 2/3 of the three faces of Eve, but alas I have no third character to palette, so the symbolism is unfortunately lost.
The third face is Rugal, obviously.

also MC2 you forgot to change the boots for a couple of those :P

Ah shit I also made Vice's boots black on the domino one when I shouldnt have.   ...Can you make it white for me?  PLEAAAAAAAAAASE?

The peculiar variation between the skin tones of the featured women not only accentuates the contrast in personality between them, but also highlights the artist's use of King of Fighters XIII as a guide, and the artist's subconscious desire to see Awakening Blood and other XIII features implemented in the gameplay element of this piece.  Extra effort has gone into not only matching the effects colours to the source material (KOF XIII), but to also properly mirror the colors as required by the subtractive transparency to be used as the skull.  This artist has not only used the entire palette template, but has also paid extraordinary attention to the brief and made adjustments accordingly, creating a strong, aesthetically pleasing palette while remaining as stringently authentic to KOF XIII as possible.
It isn't just the palettes; I can out-caption you as well, MC2.

I fixed a small error on the darkest dress colors for the template.



I swear to God if MalaDingDong freaks out over this purely visual fix I will beat the truth into him with a chair leg.

And just to clarify, since I played a little CvS and saw Vice's effects, if the pillar and the skull use the same color (like cvs), the skulls colors need to be inverted?

Pretenders, all of you.


This palette represents a theoretical situation in which a woman of the same Orochi heritage as Vice, instead of repressing it into an uncontrollable alter ego, embraces her gifts and follows after her "older sister".  Instead of representing two individuals, this palette depicts two halves of the same person: Vice represents the new self, reveling in her newfound power, extroversion and sadistic nature, while Mature represents the former self, her serious, military tone and the abandonment thereof.  Again, extra effort has gone into not only matching the effects colours to the source material, but to also properly mirror the colors as required by the subtractive transparency to be used as the skull.  The artist has created a bold, exciting palette while remaining as authentic to this new vision of an original character as possible.
