I wanted to do a bigger update today but I seem to be having computer issues. I'm debating on whether or not I should give Cap a Roll move (Forward+LP+LK) because he already has the Cartwheel special and I don't want to give him redundant moves. So, as usual, I'm open to suggestions.

I have had every intention of doing this. Most likely in the next update.

I'd only tested him using his default palette, so I had not noticed this. Thank you for pointing it out. Will be fixed in the next update.

I'm not a fan of the MSH hitsparks, either. I'm actually going to change them to the SFA3 sparks with MvC1 sparks used only for Final Justice.

I'll be getting to work on this as well as other stuff later today, expect an update by Friday, if not sooner.

Today's update, as promised. See first post for info. I'm sure I'll catch some crap for this, but I decided not to simplify Cap's CLSN's (at least for now) because the only thing I'm really worried about are invincibility frames and infinite priority, which are not an issue here. Consider him a completed character for now. I may add AI in a future update, but I'm kind of shitty when it comes to coding AI. If anyone would like to create a decent AI patch, I'll gladly add it to the next update and give full credit in the readme. Happy leeching and enjoy!

Nice work on Steve.  Any chance you can do anything about his shield being correctly aligned during special states (throws etc.), or just having it disappear completely?  It's one thing that always irked me about Blaze's Cap, but I know fuck-all about coding to try and fix it.

Who's Iron Man were you planning on editing BTW?

I think you should tweak Cap's attack speed and jump physics to match the style a bit better. Change how some of his normals work so comboing into supers is possible, etc. etc. Overall, pretty good though : )

The aerial rave/super jump actually has the same height as a normal jump. But, I do plan on tweaking and fixing several things. When I release Iron Man, I'll also release an update for Cap.

Iron Man has a truncated integer bug in his jet pack intro that I can't seem to figure out how to fix. He also has no Roll move because I just couldn't figure out a decent way to animate it with the existing sprites.

Just wanted to say, I LOVE what you're doing here.

The tweaks you are making are very conscientious of how MvC characters could be improved, especially in the MUGEN format, and I think they play very well. I think that the whole "magic shield" on Cap could still use work (I don't remember what Acey did with his but I don't recall it having that issue, he must have come up with some sort of way of handling it), but I love the fact that it plays and combos quite well, and the change from super jump to a sort of long/high jump is very effective and I think works quite well indeed, I'm surprised by the combos it opens up.

Overall, I'm very impressed, Iron Man plays quite well too, could use an intro as Tony and maybe some tweaking on the flight state so the AI won't abuse it, but other than that, no complaints. And, no annoying metal clang noises! Bonus! Maybe a new select screen portrait would be cool.

In any case, keep up the good work, I'll be looking out for any future releases and updates. Can't wait to see what's next!

Acey's Cap is forced to drop his shield whenever he goes into a custom state. I'm not going to change it unless I can find a way for Cap to keep his shield. So, again, Cap's "magic shield" is here to stay.

If you're looking for Marvel character suggestions, maybe a Venom or Wolverine (edit) in your style. I think Wolverine needs it more than Venom, but then, that color separation patch is being worked on for Sander's... Maybe it would be better to wait until after that is finished to leverage the full potential. Just a thought. Keep up the good work!

I don't know how confident you are in your coding, but if you did Thanos it would be pretty awesome since Thanos has like no proper representation in Mugen and has some weird hypers that are pretty difficult to code.

Sander's Wolverine isn't a bad suggestion. I already have some ideas stirring. But, yeah, I'll wait for the color separation.
I'll keep Venom in mind, but I don't have any good ideas for him.
Splode's Strider Hiryu would also be a good candidate, but I'm currently enjoying Syn's, so I'll hold off.
Thanos would probably be a fun challenge. Splode's Thanos is coded decent, but the sprites are total shit. So it would actually be more of a sprite swap.

I re-uploaded Iron Man. Deleted one of the lazy ass palettes I made because it made his effects ugly as sin. No changes other than that.

Ever thought about reviving spiral? Yours could be the best version if you decide to do her...

I'll definitely do Wolvie, and probably Spidey, eventually. I already like Kamekaze's Doom, so that's probably out. Magneto is in the same boat as Venom in that I just don't have any good ideas for them.

I didn't say that I wouldn't edit Strider, I just said that I wouldn't do it right away. I even already have some ideas, but Erradicator's Seth Zankuten's Spidey and Sander's Wolverine are next on my list.

1. It makes it easier on me because all the feedback will be in one place.

2. It might remind folks that I'd like to do more than just Marvel characters.

I'm still waiting for the color separation to be completed on Wolverine, so I've started working on Spider-Man.

And keeping the Separation Anxiety Hyper was awesome! Only one real gameplay thing I noticed: His throw is still the strong punch/forward instead of weak+med punch.

I do have a question about the palettes, though: Do palettes for the orignal characters you edited work with your edits? No offense, but some of the palettes aren't quite as awesome as the gameplay. Especially some of the latest ones from Spidey.

Yes, the original palettes will work, but Iron's original palettes are pretty messy. The palettes included with Spidey are the ones included in the original, I didn't do any new ones for him.

My last post only addressed the palette question because I was at work on my phone. I'll address the other stuff, now.

Seth Zankuten's Spidey was already well done, but he had a few new moves that I felt made him kind of cheap. So, most of the credit for Spidey's slick gameplay all goes to him. I really do appreciate all the positive feedback, though.

In MvC, throws are executed by pressing Forward+HP or Forward+HK when close to the opponent. And I personally prefer it that way.

The portraits are done with mugen 1.0's default screen pack in mind (because I use a slightly modified version of it). The versus screen shows the portraits in a "window" in the traditional 120x140 pixel size. I have my win screen portraits set as the same sprite as the main portrait, so the full image is shown on the win screen, like so:

Right, it's just inconsistent compared to your other two Marvel edits which used the two punches/two kicks throw scheme. Only real reason I asked.

I've got a few purely visual nitpicks of Iron Man too, nothing really gameplay based. Take them with a grain of salt, of course, both are rather minor really, and I'm just nitpicking on things that personally bug me a bit.

[rant] The first is personal, please, please, oh my dear got please, if at all possible, if it exists, find a replacement for his high kick launcher. It is one of my least favorite animation frames ever, that stupid looking "foot in the air levitation" looks stupid as all hell, it doesn't ever even remotely look like he is repulser kicking the opponent, it always, always, always looks stupid. God damn it that is an awful launcher, damn you Capcom, shit![/rant]Sorry. I just really, really hate that animation. If you havr some other sprite that could be repurposed as a new launcher that would be really, really cool.

My second thing is pretty minor, I think the explosion fx for things like the missile and the smart bombs could do with being a bit less transparent. The hitsparks look really nice that way I think, but not so much the explosions. They kind of end up looking like out of phase Cheeto puffs or something. Again, sorry to be on your case about something that I'm sure is mainly about your personal preference, but they are so close to really, really slick releases, I just want to provide some feedback.

Spidey is very fun to play as! Gonna russle up a handful of cool palettes and he'll be pretty much perfect!

Unless someone wants to sprite a new kick launcher for Iron Man, it's here to stay, though I agree that it looks weird. And I love phasing cheetos. They're a hell of a lot better than that orange styrofoam that passes for cheetos these days.

Oh, and expect updates for Cap and Iron before I begin working on my next edit.

Can you do Cyclops by Reza (The latest/ up to date version) The character feels right already but there was this awesome custom move he had in BETA 8, its called Exceed Optic Rage. You think you can add that move back in, since he removed it for his final release?

I just think that custom move was very interesting for Cyclops.

Maybe replace "Hyper Optic Slam" at 500 life and does to "Exceed Optic Rage" instead or something? (Just throwing out ideas)

Those are f'n sweet. And Spidey actually lacks a hyper port in his current version. Right now, I'm working on other things, but I would definitely use some of that hires awesomeness if you're willing to contribute.

That's an automatic yes on my behalf.

The only issue is that the only source art that I have for the specific characters you have edit/coded will take me longer to tinker with because of their smaller resolutions and crappy jpeg filtering.

How about adding some sounds to dodge, roll and powercharge? If noticed the lack of sounds on these actions on all of your edits. Would be nice to have some...

P.e. the Cyber Akuma win animation with "all of his arms" could use a sound/voice from Akuma...
...what about the first shot of the Zankuu Bolt Hadouken? Why is there no voice too?

The lack of sounds for dodge, roll, and power charge is due to laziness on my part. The lack of sounds on Cyber's other stuff is because it was that way in MystikBlaze's original and I just didn't change it. I might add sounds in a future update, but right now I'm keeping my focus on gameplay.

Damn son.... That totally fucking sucks. I have all of my Mugen workfiles backed up between a 16, 8 and 4GB Flash Drives. Sounds like you might want to disperse your files for safe keeping. Hell, a 32GB drive costs 40.00 at most.

Well, I have a new computer. I back up my mugen stuff about once a week to a 1TB external. But, it decided to crash on a Saturday afternoon, and I back up every Saturday night. lol

Long story short, I didn't lose anything other than the work I had put into Angel. But once I get the new computer in order, I'll start her over.

Iron Man has a truncated integer bug in his jet pack intro that I can't seem to figure out how to fix. He also has no Roll move because I just couldn't figure out a decent way to animate it with the existing sprites.

As you can see, I'm aware.

Quick question: Mediafire is showing an empty folder when I go to the "myfiles" link. But, all the download links seem to be working. Is anyone else having this problem?

I've begun work on my next edit. Jon Talbain by Splode. He'll have the same play style as my previous edits and will use the same type of effects as my Angel (the ones I stole from PotS' Ryu).

Yo Kold, dude see this is exactly what i'm talkin about dude! You really kno your stuff! These edits are so GOOD I could crie! Finally someone else with editing talent besides me and Infinite.

I really like the way you do yours, they feel so dang solid and smooth. Keep it up dude!

My only thing is that I think that if you changed the hit sounds of all your edits to match the same it would really add more than what you already have in them. Since your using cvs hitsparks may I suggest Cvs hit sounds. And also for slash effects use cvs slash sparks. But thats somethin small. Other than that, you are on point!

I like the way you toned down Ironman, cus I feel like if he was in cvs, that is exactly how he would play! Nice, and Jon Talbain is my favorite! Anyway, thanks for the edits man!

I may or may not change the hit sounds in future updates. I mainly didn't change them just because I was lazy. Angel got CvS hit sparks because I felt that the SFA hit sparks I used for my previous edits wouldn't be fitting for her CvS style sprites. Then they got carried over to Talbain because I preferred them over the SFA ones.

B.Jenet is cool. Dampir's sprites are cool and work well.

Some general things about your chars :
- They can crouch while running. Since you're going for a Capcom sort of CVS style, you shouldn't crouch when holding DF when running.
- Please use better effects. B.Jenet uses her KOF effects for example, while I'm sure you could use CVS Joe effects in some places. Little stars could be replaced by POTS Morrigan effects and/or CFJ Igrid effects.
- Not fan of the way you display super portraits. They appear centered, but when they scale, they don't scale centered, but go back/left. You should center the portrait in the SFF if you haven't done it already, to make the scaling stay at the center of screen.

Just fixing things like this will give your char a more finished look that is needed to "step up your game", as you said in the CotM topic. ;)

- Aurora's last hits miss on a cornered opponent.
- Supers definitely need envshake during attacks for a more Capcom feel.

B.Jenet is cool. Dampir's sprites are cool and work well.

Some general things about your chars :
- They can crouch while running. Since you're going for a Capcom sort of CVS style, you shouldn't crouch when holding DF when running.
- Please use better effects. B.Jenet uses her KOF effects for example, while I'm sure you could use CVS Joe effects in some places. Little stars could be replaced by POTS Morrigan effects and/or CFJ Igrid effects.
- Not fan of the way you display super portraits. They appear centered, but when they scale, they don't scale centered, but go back/left. You should center the portrait in the SFF if you haven't done it already, to make the scaling stay at the center of screen.

Just fixing things like this will give your char a more finished look that is needed to "step up your game", as you said in the CotM topic. ;)

- Aurora's last hits miss on a cornered opponent.
- Supers definitely need envshake during attacks for a more Capcom feel.

- I'll address this ASAP.
- I'm currently looking for better wind/tornado effects for her. Joe's wouldn't really work. I'm already in the process of adding Ingrid's sparklies.
- Jenet's current super portrait is a placeholder. So, really, realigning it would be kind of pointless.
I can't realign the one NoZ did for Talbain because the edge of the image appears when I realign it.

Angel updated. Get her in the first post. Some bugs fixed and envshake added to all supers.
Talbain also updated. First post. Added envshake to Dragon Cannon and Moment Slice and added CvS2 slash sparks.

I noticed Bufferass FX gets pushed back when hitting a cornered opponent.

I'm still tweaking the wind effects, higher contrast and less brightness should get them looking nice.

It's probably a cornerpush I left in the helper's hitdef. Should be easy to fix.

I really appreciate the feedback, it's been very helpful.

NoZ is working on portraits for Jenet and I'll release her (hopefully) final update after I get them. Until then, I'm taking a little break from mugen.

JMorphman's Kyo is already awesome, so I don't see any point in doing my own Kyo.

I'm not a fan of K9999 and I've never played Blazblue, so I doubt I'll be doing either of them. I also have no interest in high-res/HD characters.

I would if I knew how...other than changing the attack amount in the .cns, I'm not familiar with the proper method of reducing attack damage...but the MvC thing is just a preference for the full game that I'm making for myself and a few friends not familiar with Mugen...

Yes, .act files made for Luchini's Spiral will work for mine. Same goes for Vanity13's Demitri. And I've had Luchini's Spiral sitting on my external drive for several years.

I just want to say this is really amazing what your doing here these are turning out to be some of the best mugen characters!

While I appreciate the compliment, I know I have a long way to go before my stuff can even be considered among "the best"

Please, for the love of God, use the first set of hitsparks  from your early edits (or Darkstalkers sparks) instead of those ugly CVS sparks. I know, I know, POTS characters use them, CVS uses them, you're aiming for a more CVS style.. But I think the old hit sparks and low res fx look vastly better, especially when they are mixed with more low-res stuff like on Jon or some of your others. Now, of course, make the edits the way you want them to look, play, and feel, but.. Those CVS purple sparks are not the answer if you ask me. And I think your original sparks resulted in much more "complete" and cohesive character edits. Just my two cents.

NoZ did the small portrait, all props for it go to him.
- Demonic Flare is indeed supposed to make the opponent "float" for a moment. Primarily for comic effect. It's also not possible to juggle after it connects in order to keep it from being cheap.
- In DS, Demitri can only cancel his dash with a special move. Making it like a normal dash or run without being able to cancel into normals would make it feel incomplete IMO.
- That's soooooo not going to happen. But, I am considering hi-res'ing his other effects. And if JMorphman does his own Demitri, I'll happily abandon mine. ;P

Nice edit. Although, I think you should redo the scale in the cns. He looks too small. I'd use:

xscale = 1.12
yscale = 1.16

According to profiles and SvC, Demitri should be taller and bulkier than Ryu/Ken by a bit. With 1.0, the scaling doesn't affect the sprites that much, and still don't look terrible in winmugen. You'd have to ceil the helpers/spark pos, but that shouldn't be hard. Good job so far.

And I second that...though I would like to see a MvC-ish styles Demitri that DOESN'T do ridiculous damage -.-' like the one I am currently using. A question would be whose of the chars in the poll will you be editing? Not sure which Spiral, should she win, would be best to edit...same goes for Victor and a few of the others...

You DO realize that not even my Marvel characters play MvC-style, right?

Just letting everyone know that I'm aware of the bugs with Demitri's projectiles. I plan on fixing them ASAP. But, I'm returning to work in about 30 minutes, so I won't have time tonight.

First off, some stuff still needs done. But, I wanted to get her released before I left for work tonight.
Jump speed is intentional. Speed Dance doesn't effect jump (yet).
This Spiral is based more on X-men COTA than MvC2. So, no Stampede Swords.
Quick Drop not yet implemented.
Sounds for various things WILL be added.

Updating my older chars with the new sparks and sounds actually wouldn't be a bad idea. It would be far less time consuming, improve the quality of my older works, and shut you up (I kid, of course).

I choose the characters I want to do according to what I want in my roster. Gal129 did a CvS Blanka that has a customize-able EX-Groove. I'm pretty happy with it, so I likely won't do Blanka.

Oops. I'll have to fix that. It was a mistake caused by fixing the "crouch while running" issue.
As I have said before, I have every intention of doing Wolverine, but I am waiting until the color separated sprites are released.

Hmm... will look into this.

This is a side effect of not being able to grab during a combo, and I intentionally left it this way.

Well, I originally decided to disable the move altogether while Dancing Swords was active because the combination of the two seemed kind of cheap and spam-ish, and her bio says that maintaining the swords takes great concentration.
How about if instead of the move being disabled, the Dancing Swords fall to the ground when she uses Stampede Swords?

Fixed a mistake that prevented her from jumping while running.
Stampede Swords can now be used while Dancing Swords are active, but you will lose all Dancing Swords upon activation of Stampede Swords.

WOW, your edits are great and really makes the characters feel fresh and new.  Marrow is one character that could use your special touch especially for bug fixes.  I really enjoy and appreciate your efforts to make these character become more complete and fun to play with.

I am not taking requests. I only edit characters that I want to play as. If I did a request for you, it would be unfair not to take a request from everyone else that has asked. That would be way too much work and wouldn't be any fun for me.

If you're truly hard-up for an edited version of a specific character, you need to do what I did and learn about mugen coding yourself.

She's meant to have a Capcom feel, and Cody's Final Destruction doesn't fully connect on airborne opponents either. Though I may change it so that the level 2 version will work.

Fair enough point on the Ranbu. I think her portrait is scary because her eye is black and grey, only one eye is visible, and her smile is just plain creepy.

I guess it was sized up a but too much. It was mostly the pixels that made me think it was scary (it still is). Also, you might want to use that one as well. It fits her flirtatious personality quite well.

I fixed some small bugs and gave him a new super portrait. The other one is still in the .sff if you want to change it back to the MvC1 art.

The only other Marvel character I plan to do is Wolverine. I'm waiting for the color separated sprites to be finished. I have other WIPs in the meantime. I'm not saying that I'll never do another Marvel character, but I'm not promising anything.

It's Normal? Or we can up the rapidity of attacks?

Iron Man's attacks come out a bit slower than my other works, and it's intentional. The best strategy (for me) when using Iron Man is to use a mix of his Smart Bomb, Repulsor Shot, and crouching HP to keep enemies at a distance. And use a simple combo ending with Repulsor Burst to push them away when they get close.

Can´t wait for the updates.

Demitri's Bat Spin on block needs to act the same way as it does if it connects.  Because of how it's set up when blocked, it's safe, does noticeable chip damage, and you can connect right into 'Midnight Pleasure' upon landing. (It's the properties of the EX version which uses meter in darkstalkers).

Also, it may be my screenpack, but the large portrait's too big

i think in ironmans case, hes in a heavy metal suit! you'd think hed be a little slower thatn most. but he makes up for it with powerful projectles. not to mention dat PROTON CANNON!

I managed to pull myself away from my PS3 long enough to update Cyber Akuma.

Added double-res portrait. There's a normal size portrait at 9000,3 if you don't want to use it.
Added new sparks and effects. (Same as my recent characters)
Added envshake to all supers.
Can no longer crouch while running.
Some minor bug fixes.
Back dash can no longer be cancelled into other moves.

I could suggest waiting a little cause my buddy davismaximus actually will improve some parts on the sprites (shoulder stripes for example) and that could take a couple of days but the good thing is that is going to be the final update in the patch :P

The only modification I've done to the current .sff so far is adding the new sparks/effects. Those can easily be imported from one .sff to another. So it won't be too big of a deal. My main focus right now is his move list. Speaking of which (click spoiler)

I'm kind of putting it off because I'm waiting for Buckus to release his Cap, and I'm focusing on Wolverine now. I'll probably just go ahead and update Cap after I release Wolverine. He'll get the new effects, but probably not AI. But I may feel different once I actually get to it. We'll see.

^ yep I experienced that problem with a couple of characters as well (Kold Ironman for example)

Also you may want to reduce some unused tones that were just part of the super portrait, just the claws have that plenty of tones, the rest stays the same:

Fixed. Hopefully. I've tested the move against many characters (PotS Ryu, Jmorphan Chun-Li, Kung Fu Man, and many others) and have not encountered the error.

- Effect for s.SP could go without shadows.
- Jump could get a sound.

Indeed there is. Simply open "wolverinea.cns" in a text editor (or Fighter Factory) and remove the following lines of code:

Rather, the ground stabs that result from F + MP or F + SP have both the default sparks and your sparks for them.

Various things for Cyber Akuma:

- I don't like how his dash works. It travels way too much distance IMO, making it really unsafe if you use it, as just using it puts you in front of your opponent always. Isn't it possible to reduce the distance it dashes? Or just change it to a run animation, IMO it would fit better as your current dash just resembles to Lightning Senkuu except it's not as safe as that one.

- You put a superjump here, but the distance it jumps is the same as the normal jump. It also goes at the same speed as the normal jump, so there's no point adding this superjump since it does the same as the normal jump. That goes for neutral, forward and backwards superjump. Shouldn't you make it different?

- I'm trying his Aerial Rave, but the only thing that triggers it is his crouching HP attack, and only in the first hit. If the second connects, you cannot do an Aerial Rave. I tried with the standing MP and HK and it doesn't work.

Love your work! I might just be mine since I changed Wolvie's portrait, but I can't seem to be able to strike and he seems to have lost his walking back animation. He'll simply slide to the left when pressing back.

Strange. Any idea why?

EDIT: Also found a pseudo-infinite with Talbain. If you trip your opponent in the corner after any combo, you can follow up with forward-wp over and over and over... I went up to 14-hits this way.

I'd suggest re-downloading him. It sounds like you either have a corrupted .air file or the wrong .air file altogether.

As far as the Talbain combo, your description is too vague. Best to make a video to show me exactly what combo(s) you're using.

I'd suggest re-downloading him. It sounds like you either have a corrupted .air file or the wrong .air file altogether.

This happens also depending how you save on fighter factory, when changing portraits always save it as "sprites":  Sprites -----> Save
this happened to me once a long time ago and it had to do with the way you save a character's sprites... hope that helps, to me wolverine runs just fine after I changed his large portrait.

Somehow I just noticed this today.  Little bit of feedback:

-K Throw could have more impact, pehaps have Raptor and his opponent fly further apart.
-Is it just me or does the super jump have the same height as the normal jump?
-Skull Punish seems odd.  Seems somewhat hard to pull off, and the grab animation doesn't always come out.
-Hell Dunk seems a bit "crazy" for a LVL 1 Super, maybe just me though.  Also, having the basketball hoop dude fade out after the dunk would look better.  Looks kinda weird having it just disappear.

Haven't played with him too much but I like him so far, as with your other edits.  Thanks, man!

-Raptor is a pretty crazy character. So, having Hell Dunk as a LVL 1 doesn't really bug me. But I'll add a fade out animation to the hoop helper.

Raptor has been updated.
Super Jump now goes higher than normal jump.
Kick throw now does more damage and puts more distance between Raptor and his opponent.
Added sparks to all throws (including Skull Punish).
Skull Punish command time increased.
La Marta now fades away at the end of Hell Dunk rather than suddenly disappearing.
Hell Dunk's ball is now compatible with more Darkstalkers characters.

This is the extended animation he'll want to use for Demitri. If he wants to use the other one he'll have to replace all of Demitri's sprites. The one you posted above is from CFJ. Though those sprites are better so if he wanted to use them that'd be awesome!

@TheSnackist & JNP: I honestly HATE Demitri's DS/CFJ sprite set. I'm considering commissioning one of our awesome spriters to convert his SvC sprites to a CvS style. But my hours have been cut at work, so I have little to no extra money and don't know when things will pick back up.

@Trinitronity: I'll certainly make use of the KO sound. And if you check the readme's you'd see that there are alternate, standard sized portraits in the .sff's of all my characters.

I downloaded most of them and I gotta say these are some awesome edits! I like Wolverine, especially his separated palettes (hated that other Wolverines have the yellow attached to his skin) Are you planning to make some more edited characters? Just throwing it out there, seeing that most of your edits are MVC, you should make a Venom or a Doom! Just sayin' ;)

I havn't given up on Jimmy. I'm hoping to have him released sometime in September. I've just not had much interest in working on mugen related things in a while.

I was talking to Skeletor EX and he suggested I code Vars into my chars so that I can have an option to choose between Infinite's custom CVS Style or my R@CE 45 Versus Style Gameplay.  This way both sets of fans would be happy because they can choose between which style they want to play with.

I said that to say, maybe you could so something like this with your characters?.....

I greatly improved her alternate super portrait. Thanks to some help from Mr. Infinite.
Counter attack no longer uses default hitsparks.
Minor tweaks and fixes.

What's been changed from the original version on 8-25-2013:
Created new supers "Dragon's Breath"* and "Impact Combo".
Gun Blow is now a Level 3 super.
Converted from 4 buttons to 6.
"Medium" versions of all specials created.
Beautiful new effects by Hades.
Added a config file for toggling chain combos and choosing which Heat Hurricane command to use.
Added Dodge.
Added Power Charge.
Added Parrying.
Added Counterattack.
Added new palettes, including all his original ones from RotD, to give him a total of 12.
Uses the same type of effects and sparks as PotS Ryu. But, uses the same play style as my other creations.
I changed tons of shit and I'm too lazy to list it. Just play him and enjoy.

*I know that "Dragon's Breath" is kind of lame, but I wanted him to have at least 2 level 1 supers and it was the best I could think of.

You give up way to early.
Everyone can code characters from scratch. The only thing you need to do is just learning from previous stuff and maybe also do some experiments.
I hope I can add me as an example. When I started to do my first WIP Marisa, she pretty much was just Kohaku's Marisa with RicePigeon's old system.
However, the more I worked on her and the more topic I made at "MUGEN Development Help", the more I could learn about MUGEN coding.
While still being an edit, I was now able to code some things from scratch and rework some moves myself to a big extend. My future characters in this style will be made from scratch while using her as a template.
My second WIP, Terry, is already more or less from scratch, and I only used a template to build on it this Terry.
What I want to say, is that you should never give up and always if you can. And doing this edits while learning something new about MUGEN coding is pretty much like building your way to making your own char from scratch one day. And this is what I like about MUGEN: Work hard, and you will eventually reach your goals.

But now, let us go back on topic: I would really like to know, what you have planned next.

Oh, it's not a question of my ability. The problem is not having as much free time as I'd like and my tendency to "wander" from one project to another. (I dabble in many hobbies outside of computers/internet.) Unless I start seeing results immediately, I start losing interest quickly. You can call it A.D.D., extremely slow pace, or simply a lack of dedication.

As for who's next. I have no idea.

DivineWolf has finished color separating Sonia's sprites and I have to say, he did an excellent job. Here's a small sample of what to expect:

I won't be doing a palette template because I'm a lazy bitch focusing on finishing her coding. If all goes well, KoldSonia will be released soon. Once she's released, all you amazing palette gurus can go nuts.

I don't know about doing the ENTIRE RotD roster. But, I do plan on doing at least a few more. I've also got my sights set on a couple of Power Instinct: Matrimelee characters.

A very small update for Sonia. (So small that I didn't even list it in the readme.) MK Snake Hold's knife will no longer disappear prematurely on stages with zoom. Get it in the first post.

Thanks for the kind words. I agree that PIM and RotD don't get enough love. Which is why I want to do more of those characters. As for which ones, I'm currently planning to do (in no particular order) Billy, Lynn, Keith, and Olof. With the possibly of even more. I just love the character designs.

I don't do EX moves and most likely never will. I've never been a fan of them. I even disable them for PotS style characters in my personal roster.

As for the possibilities of other PIM/RotD characters aside from the ones I mentioned, I'm not yet sure. I currently have enough WIPs to keep me busy for months. So, we'll see.

It's on the to-do list along with some other adjustments to him, but not currently a priority.

Unfortunately, I'm not far enough along in any of my current WIPs to announce who will be next. The last thing I want to do is announce someone and then disappoint everyone by never releasing them. To give you an idea of my time frame, I worked on Sonia for nearly two weeks before I even announced her.

I actually already snatched up that Lynn CS and I'm definitely using it.

I've not done any work on Cassandra, but if you decide to CS her, I'll absolutely move her up on the priorities list. I'll be going off of RYO2005's version, since he uses a similar coding style across all of his RotD characters that makes it easy for me to edit them into "Kold Style". So, if you CS that version, I can take over from there.

It looks like my current focus is on Lynn (since she's the one with the most work done). But I'm not certain when she'll get released since my free time is currently being split between working on her and playing Overwatch (grinding them Summer Games lootboxes and trying to get back into Platinum).

I'm starting a new job tomorrow and I'm going to need time to adjust my life to a new work schedule. This means that, for the time being, all of my WIPs are on hold. I am not quitting mugen again or anything, I'm just taking a break until my real life priorities are in order.

Lumei released. Get her in the first post. She's another old, private edit that I've decided to make available to the public. She's not as polished as my other works, but still very playable. I have no plans to update her. There may be some controversy regarding this release as it is an edit of what was once a private character. (She's not hard to get if you know where to look, though.)

I had no intention for my absence to be this long. Long story short: Real life happened, then kept happening, and continues to keep happening. I'm not dead, and neither are my projects. Lynn will still happen, someday. As for when that will be, I have no idea. Consider Lumei's release my apology.

I have no plans to update her.

Best advice I can give for now is to disable the super in the .cmd file and to wait and see if someone else decides to update her. I won't have time to update her for a good while.
